Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 605: Third Eye Talisman
Chapter 605: Chapter 605: Third Eye Talisman
Yu Mei lowered her head and nodded. Just like before she lost her consciousness.
By the time she opened her eyes, she found herself back in her room.
A creepy smile appeared on Yu Mei’s face.
.....
Yu Holea raised an eyebrow. Though she didn’t know why Yu Mei fainted, she had her own guesses.
With a smirk on her face, Yu Holea called someone and ordered,
"Do something for me."
After giving the instructions, Yu Holea hung up the call and muttered in her heart
"Yu Mei I am done being good to you. Now I won’t wait passively for you to attack me. Now I will show you what it means to be light while your enemy is in the dark."
For the next few days, Yu Holea focused on her shooting.
Even Vivian who used to cause trouble suddenly became quiet and became cooperative.
Yu Holea didn’t have the time to think about her unusual behavior.
Her entire focus was on two different matters.
The first one was acting and the second was dealing with Yu Mei.
Hence when Vivian suddenly invited her for dinner, Yu Holea felt the sun was rising from the west.
Vivian smiled politely and said,
"I want to apologize to you for my wrongdoings till now. Please don’t decline."
Yu Holea blinked, snapping back to reality, a hint of confusion visible in her eyes yet she masked it with a calm expression,
"Apologize?"
"Yeah. You see, I was being harsh on you for no particular reason, and now that I understood how wrong I was...I feel guilty." Toward the end, Vivian’s eyes turned red.
If one didn’t know better one would think Yu Holea was bullying Vivian.
Yu Holea’s lips twitched,
"You are not sincere so no. I will not attend the dinner."
"Come on, Holea," Vivian said, her voice wavering between anger and desperation.
"It’s just one dinner! If you don’t agree, I’ll keep pestering you every single day until you do."
Yu Holea raised an eyebrow, unfazed. She let out a sigh, leaning back with a sly smile, and spoke in a calm, almost teasing voice.
"Vivian, I’d like to see you try." Her smile widened, the challenge unmistakable in her tone. "If you keep this up, I will force you to stop."
"Oh, I will. I’m not afraid of your little threats," she replied in a sugary-sweet voice.
Her persistence was almost comical, and the crew members around them started to exchange glances, unsure whether to intervene or just watch.
Yu Holea sighed, looking around at the filming staff who tried and failed, to stifle their grins.
Some were staring outright, bewildered by the strange display of persistence from Vivian.
Finally, as Yu Holea’s patience wore thin, she reached into her bag and pulled out a small, delicate-looking piece of yellow paper.
The Third Eye Talisman. She rolled her eyes as Vivian prattled on, oblivious to what Yu Holea held in her hand.
With a subtle movement, Yu Holea sidled up to Vivian and lightly tapped the talisman onto her back.
Vivian didn’t even notice as it adhered, hidden just under her collar.
Yu Holea smiled, a knowing glint in her eyes. "Fine, Vivian," she said sweetly, leaning back with a smirk. "Do whatever you want."
Vivian, sensing that she might have won, grinned smugly, opening her mouth to press further.
But then, her smile faltered.
She turned her head, glancing over her shoulder as a strange prickling sensation began to crawl down her spine.
She rubbed her arms, shivering slightly, though the air was warm.
"Did it just... get cold in here?" Vivian muttered to herself, confused.
Yu Holea suppressed a grin, watching as Vivian’s eyes widened suddenly, her gaze fixed on something over Yu Holea’s shoulder.
In the dim corner of the set, Vivian saw a shadowy figure that no one else seemed to notice.
It was translucent and barely human, a faint silhouette of something once living, its hollow eyes fixed intently on her.
Vivian gasped, her eyes growing wide as she staggered back.
"Wh—what is that?" she stammered, her voice shaking as she glanced around, expecting others to notice the figure.
But everyone else continued as usual, chatting and working, completely oblivious to the apparition.
"Oh, is something wrong?" Yu Holea asked innocently, feigning concern.
She tilted her head and gave Vivian a sweet smile. "You seem... tense."
Vivian’s face turned pale as she pointed to the corner.
"Th-There’s... something there. Right there," she whispered, her voice barely above a whimper.
"Oh, really?" Yu Holea asked, glancing toward the empty corner where Vivian was pointing. She shook her head, her expression turning serious.
"Vivian, maybe you’re just overworked. You’re seeing things."
Vivian took a step back, visibly trembling now, but she kept glancing back at the ghostly figure in the corner, which now seemed to move closer, its transparent hand reaching out, beckoning her.
"No... I’m not imagining it," she muttered, her voice quivering. "It’s right there... it’s looking at me..."
Some of the staff members began to exchange glances, whispering to one another as Vivian stumbled back further, panic spreading across her face.
But Yu Holea was nowhere near done.
Leaning closer to Vivian, she whispered, "Maybe you’re just feeling guilty about something. Maybe the spirits are here to... remind you."
Vivian froze, her face turning ashen as Yu Holea’s words sunk in.
Just then, another shadowy figure appeared, lingering near the edge of the set, its face contorted in a frozen scream, its eyes staring unblinkingly at Vivian.
She let out a shriek, stumbling backward as she wildly tried to look away, only to find that no matter where she turned, there were more figures, more ghostly faces staring directly at her.
Their hollow eyes seemed to pierce right through her, and she could almost feel their cold, icy fingers reaching out to pull her in.
"Yu Holea!" Vivian shouted, her voice trembling, but Yu Holea merely tilted her head, feigning confusion.
"What’s the matter, Vivian? You’re acting so strangely," Yu Holea replied, smirking as she leaned in. "Maybe you need a break. Perhaps you’re just... seeing things."
One crew member leaned over to another, whispering, "What’s gotten into her? She looks like she’s seen a ghost!"
The other shrugged, chuckling softly. "She’s probably just overdoing the method acting."
But Vivian didn’t hear them. She was too focused on the ghostly figure that had drifted right in front of her face, so close she could feel its icy breath against her cheek.
"Please, no! Go away!" she whimpered, covering her face with her hands, unable to bear the sight of the apparition hovering over her.
Yu Holea couldn’t help the small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she leaned over and extended a hand.
"Oh, Vivian, you seem a bit jumpy today," she said softly, a hint of mischief in her eyes. "Maybe it’s best if you go home and get some rest?"
Vivian looked up at her, face pale and eyes wide with terror.
The crew members burst into laughter as they watched her disappear around the corner, unable to hold back any longer.
Some of them wiped tears from their eyes, struggling to catch their breath as they exchanged amused glances.
"Did you see the look on her face?" one of them said, shaking his head in disbelief. "I’ve never seen her run so fast!"
Yu Holea chuckled, folding her arms as she watched Vivian’s retreating figure with a satisfied smirk.
The talisman had worked perfectly. She could only imagine how long Vivian would be haunted by her "visions" and how much she would regret ever pestering her.
A small part of her almost felt sorry for Vivian. But only a small part.
Does Vivian truly think she is some rabbit?
Even rabbits bite when they are desperate.
Yu Holea finished her shooting and returned to her hotel as if nothing happened.
The next day at the shooting location she got to know that Vivian due to some fright fell off the stairs and now her hands are fractured so she won’t be able to join the shooting for the next month.
All of Vivian’s scenes were put on hold for the time being.
Just as Yu Holea was shooting, one of the staff members suddenly called her and said that someone was looking for her.
Yu Holea was baffled but she still followed the staff member and soon reached the entrance.
Sure enough, at the entrance stood an unfamiliar figure. On a closer look, Yu Holea kept on feeling as if she knew the woman but couldn’t recall where.
The woman was half-Chinese and half-American looking. A drop-dead gorgeous type of woman.
Suddenly a memory that Yu Holea long ago forgot flashed in her mind.
A name that was buried in the depths of her memory suddenly echoed in her mind,
’Olivia.’
The woman smiled and asked softly,
"Do you remember me, Holea?"
Just one line changed the fate of many.
