Everyone turned to look at the new voice and found a bald man in his late forties with a pot belly dressed in a business suit.

He had also worn a hat on his head to cover up his shiny head. The man had a wide smile.

Mo Jiang was the first person to respond and stood up with a smile on her face.

"Isn’t it Investor Tao? Have you invested in this movie too? Mr. Tao, you are indeed very insightful."

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow. Even though she shut herself from all the news related to the entertainment world for the past 3 years and only focused on her work, she still heard about this insightful investor.

The entertainment industry wasn’t as simple as it looked.

It may seem open to all, making those who stay at the bottom chain feel tempted but in reality...only those who are in the entertainment industry know how deep the water is.

The entertainment industry is controlled by some mafias. Disgusting mafias.

And one of them was the Tao Huaqin.

Yu Holea’s face scrunched up in disgust.

Tao Huaqin smiled widely at Mo Jiang and went forward. He hugged and placed his hand on the waist,

"Ah? Little Mo is here too?"

Mo Jiang smiled shyly but she felt disgusted in her heart.

Ni Wulin gritted her teeth when she saw Tao Huaqin however she didn’t comment on him.

Tao Huaqin looked around the table and his eyes stayed on Vivian for a bit. This half-mixed beauty was truly tempting.

Thinking about how he could have her later, Tao Huaqin felt a bit excited in his heart. His eyes then moved to Ni Wulin and his face turned a bit sour, but soon it was replaced by an evil smile.

When he further looked, his eyes widened.

Looking at the beautiful girl with a beautiful woman with silver hair and pale skin, as well as a beautiful face and innocent aura, Tao Huaqin’s body trembled with excitement.

What tempted him even more was the goddess-like aura Yu Holea had.

This was the one!

This was the one who would serve him tonight.

Yu Holea understood Ni Wulin’s intention and she was slightly impressed by her.

"Don’t stay here if even that person asks you to." Ni Wulin warned her in a slow voice.

"Who?" Yu Holea played dumb.

"That Investor Tao. Even if he promises that he just wants to talk about some other movies he had invested in and wants to take your audition, don’t listen to him, do you understand?"

Yu Holea paused for a few seconds and nodded.

"Good." Ni Wulin said in a satisfied tone. Though she believed Yu Holea could take a stand for herself, she just didn’t want to see her(Yu Holea) becoming second her(Ni Wulin).

A trace of sadness flashed past in Ni Wulin’s eyes which she quickly hid and continued talking. She talked till Director Ou returned with an unhappy expression on his face.

Once the director returned, Ni Wulin pulled Yu Holea back to her position.

Yu Holea saw the slight black clouds on Director Ou’s face and knew he would have bad luck for the next few days.

She wanted to ask him why he let Tao Huaqin invest but held it back.

The script reading session continued. Yu Holea was surprised to find that Vivian had good acting skills.

However, what surprised her even more was how Tao Huaqin could boldly take advantage of other actresses and make dirty comments freely.

Director Ou kept on warning him and at one point even asked to leave the room but Tao Huaqin just smiled and didn’t leave at all.

When the reading session was over Tao Huaqin said,

"Mo Jiang, Miss Vivian, Ni Wulin, Miss Yu, and Jung Xiao, please stay."

The air in the room turned tense as Tao Huaqin’s words echoed.

Everyone exchanged uneasy glances, especially Ni Wulin, whose expression turned icy.

Director Ou seemed to grit his teeth, knowing that there was little he could do to challenge someone as influential as Tao Huaqin without risking his entire project.

He cursed his nephew in his heart.

If his nephew hadn’t taken the money from Tao Huaqin, how could someone like Tao Huaqin have gotten the chance to invest?

It was okay if Tao Huaqin wasn’t involved, he could reject him. But once he has invested the money, he won’t take back his investment no matter what.

On top of it, if he refused to let Tao Huaqin do what he wanted to do, he(Tao Huaqin) would directly stop this project.

Not like he couldn’t any other investor, on the contrary after Tao Huaqin withdrew his investment he could get other investors but he fears is something else.

What if Tao Huaqin banned the movie and never let it be released?

Or worse...what if targets the cast?

Thinking of the different ways the cast will be harassed once the movie is released anyhow, Director Ou shuddered.

Hence he decided to stay quiet. But to ensure that Tao Huaqin doesn’t go too far, he stayed.

Mo Jiang put on a diplomatic smile, masking her inner disgust.

Vivian, on the other hand, kept her expression neutral.

Ni Wulin, who was usually outspoken, remained quiet, though her clenched fists betrayed her anger.

Yu Holea, however, met Tao Huaqin’s gaze with a calm that was almost unnerving.

She knew men like Tao Huaqin too well—predatory, entitled, and utterly shameless.

Tao Huaqin’s smile widened as he saw how fearless Yu Holea was.

With the principle of savoring the best in the last, Tao Huaqin moved his gaze to Mo Jiang and said,

"Jiang I have recently invested in a good movie, Let’s talk later about it in my room. My hotel room no. is..."

Before he could finish, Yu Holea turned on the recording on her phone.

Once Tao Huaqin completed his words he said to Ni Wulin,

"Miss Ni...it has been a long time since I have last seen you."

Ni Wulin rolled her eyes.

"Sigh. Looks like Miss Ni is still offended by my last ban on her." Tao Huaqin said in a mocking tone.

Yu Holea looked at Ni Wulin who had lowered her head at some point.

"Miss Ni you should understand. There are certain things that you can’t escape even if you want to. It’s better if you don’t interfere in things that don’t involve you.

Otherwise, god knows when I will start to feel offended and place a ban on you again. Or worse...I might have to personally teach you a lesson."

He was pointing out how offended by the fact that she blocked his gaze when he was admiring Yu Holea.

Yu Holea saw how Ni Wulin clenched her hand tightly as if was reminiscing about some bad memories.

Curious as to what she was thinking, Yu Holea placed her hand on Ni Wulin.

A few flashes appeared in Yu Holea’s mind and gradually her eyes were filled with fury.

"And what lessons can you teach?" Yu Holea asked suddenly.

Her voice was loud and clear which attracted everyone’s attention. Even Ni Wulin was surprised.

She patted Yu Holea’s hand and whispered softly,

"Don’t..."

Yu Holea slowly turned to Tao Huaqin,

"What lesson could a disgusting person like you teach?"

Tao Huaqin wasn’t angry hearing Yu Holea’s words. Instead, he smiled and said,

"Miss Yu you should tone down your temper. I was just chatting with her normally."

Yu Holea chuckled,

"Oh? Then I would like to chat with you too Mr. Tao. How about this? If you don’t shut your mouth and leave right away I will teach you a good lesson by rendering you unable to have any other child or daughter."

All the people present were surprised.

Was Yu Holea...threatening Tao Huaqin that if he continued to talk she would castrate him?

Tao Hauqin’s smile vanished and the atmosphere suddenly turned cold.

However, Yu Holea’s anger didn’t calm down.

Just a few moments ago, she saw how an innocent girl who had a dream to become a big star got assaulted, blackmailed, and almost committed suicide.

She was banned for a long time even though she was talented. She struggled to get a role while fighting against her parents and those mafias of the entertainment world.
