"Very well, Dark Lord," Yu Mei replied, trying to mask the anxiety in her voice.

"Good. Now I will give you those pills. Use it wisely." The dark entity said and a box appeared in front of Yu Mei.

Yu Mei carefully held the box and opened it.

There were three white pills lying in the box.

"Once you make a plan, let me know, I want to ensure that nothing goes wrong." The dark entity reminded her.

"Yes dark lord, I’ll await your guidance." Yu Mei hurriedly nodded.

The dark entity’s presence faded, leaving the room colder and darker than before.

Yu Mei carefully tucked the crystal ball away, her thoughts already formulating the next steps in her plan.

"I don’t know where she is!" Qiao Li insisted.

Qiao Jun ignored her and called Yu Holea’s phone again, however, no one answered.

"Brother there is no use. She might have turned off her phone." Qiao Li said.

Qiao Jun pursued his lips.

Qiao Li didn’t know whether it was her imagination or something because she felt as if...her brother looked like a child who had been wronged.

"Brother, why don’t you tell me, what has happened? Maybe I will able to help you." Qiao Li asked.

Qiao Jun covered his face. His aura had turned gloomy and his face was filled with sadness.

"This afternoon Vivian came to visit me..." Qiao Jun told her everything.

At first, Qiao Li was curious about what Vivian said which made Qiao Jun so sad, but the more she listened, the more angry she became.

Her face slowly turned red and by the end, she stood up,

"How can she say such words about my Lea! I will tear her apart! That idiot! Can’t she understand her mother was spouting nonsense?

I thought she was smart, but now I highly suspect her intelligence! And you! Brother, how can you stay quiet at such a time? You have truly..."

Before Qiao Li could finish her words, the door to the hospital room opened and Yu Holea walked in.

The Qiao Siblings were stunned.

"Good evening." Yu Holea smiled.

Qiao Li blinked and snapped out of the daze,

"Lea? Are you okay?"

She hurriedly hugged Yu Holea.

Before Yu Holea could say anything, Qiao Li continued,

"Lea, why didn’t you tell me what about that idiot’s words? I would have dealt with her properly!"

Yu Holea couldn’t help but smile and patted Qiao Li’s hands,

"Why should you interfere? Didn’t your brother argue back?"

"Huh? No! He stayed quiet at that time!" Qiao Li didn’t know the truth and argued.

Qiao Jun on the other hand was surprised by Yu Holea’s words.

"I didn’t leave right away. I was standing out of the hospital room to calm myself down. However, your brother and Miss Vivian thought I had left.

Both of them argued and Brother Jun took a stand for me." Yu Holea explained.

Qiao Li and Qiao Jun were surprised.

"Then why is your phone turned off?" Qiao Jun asked.

Qiao Li answered instead of Yu Holea,

"Because that is her old phone number."

Qiao Jun: "..." Wow! With my sister by my side, do I need an enemy?

Yu Holea chuckled when she saw Qiao Jun’s speechless expression.

"Lea, what have you made for the dinner?" Qiao Li ignored Qiao Jun and walked up to Yu Holea.

"Porridge, tomato soup, and dumplings."

"Wow!" Qiao Li’s mouth watered.

Without waiting for Yu Holea, Qiao Li hurriedly served the food on three plates.

She passed one to Yu Holea and took one for herself.

As for her brother?

Qiao Li forgot about him.

"I have heard that you are currently pursuing a degree in cosmetics?"

"Have you completed the recent project given by your professor?" Qiao Jun asked.

"I will complete it later." Qiao Li said casually and waved her hand.

"Sure. But I must say, I am impressed that you can complete the project by tonight." Qiao Jun continued.

"Hahaha! Brother you have just woken up and you don’t know. We have to submit our projects after one month." Qiao Li chuckled.

Qiao Jun wasn’t angry, instead, he smiled widely. Yu Holea felt pity for Qiao Li. Truly...she can’t even understand that her brother was threatening her!

The next second Yu Holea saw Qiao Jun calmly picking up his phone and messaging someone.

For the next 5 minutes, Qiao Li happily ate the dinner meant for Qiao Jun.

From Qiao Jun’s calm face, no one could make out how much pain he was in.

Each dumpling that Qiao Li was eating was like a knife stabbing in Qiao Jun’s heart. If only his sister had not been here, he could have enjoyed the dumplings all by himself!

Just from the smell, his appetite whetted!

"I will make more food for the lunch..."

"Okay! I will wait for you." Qiao Jun seized the opportunity.
