Yu Mei snorted in her heart. If she had a chance she would have asked for help, but Yu Shuchang’s attitude toward her clearly indicated that he doesn’t want to.

"I am feeling tired." Yu Mei faked a yawn.

"Oh! Okay! I will take my leave then. Take care." The manager said and walked away.

Yu Mei rolled her eyes, closed the door, drew the curtains, and took out a dark crystal ball from her closet.

"Oh, lord of darkness, I pay my respect. May the world be consumed by darkness."

The air around her grew heavy, and a cold, unnatural chill settled in the room.

"Yu Mei," a deep, resonant voice echoed from the crystal, its tone both commanding and ancient.

"You have done well in these past months. The connections you have forged and the wealth you have accumulated are the foundations for what is to come.

But, your journey won’t be smooth anymore."

Yu Mei’s brows furrowed and she asked,

"Dark Lord, forgive me for my stupidity, I can’t understand your words."

Didn’t the dark lord promise, that her journey to success would be smooth?

"Your archnemesis is about to enter the entertainment industry too."

"What?" Yu Mei was stunned.

After all, she thought of many possibilities of how Yu Holea would retaliate against her, but she never thought that she would enter the entertainment industry.

She always thought being pure is very beneficial. A person remains in the good books of the god, he or she can also pursue mystic or immortal cultivation.

At first, even she was tempted. But when she knew how overpowering the darkness was, she gave up on the goodness.

"And the second option?"

"I will let you know later. If possible don’t use the second option, since there is a risk of getting exposed. In case the first plan doesn’t work out, we can opt for the second plan.
