Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 490: Lady Owl’s Shamelessness

Chapter 490: Chapter 490: Lady Owl’s Shamelessness

Her tone was light, but the pressure in the atmosphere suddenly increased, and Lira and Sir Aldric’s backs arched with the strain, their heads lowering further.

Yu Holea remained unfazed, her gaze steady on the veiled figure.

"I am well aware," Yu Holea replied, her voice unwavering. "But my priority is Qiao Jun’s well-being.

After all, I expected that earlier, if I did all the good deeds, someone in the heavens would take care of my family.

Who would have thought that it was all my imagination since the beginning? Even when Jun’s life and death were unknown, the people who harmed him could party and enjoy their lives.

After knowing this fact, I was sure of one thing, I need to place Qiao Jun’s well-being as my top priority."

The goddess didn’t reply.

She couldn’t hear even a hint of blame in Yu Holea’s words...but...but she felt guilty.

Yu Holea was saying the right thing. She worshipped god, never bullied anyone, did good deeds, and nearly schemed against anyone until necessary.

Overall she was a very good person, but what was her end...

Her fiance was almost killed. She was forced to work hard just so she could bring justice to her fiance.

"Maybe sometimes the things are not what it seem like..." The goddess could only say the sentence dryly.

Yu Holea nodded,

"I think so too."

The goddess was silent before saying,

"Okay. I won’t ask you take those ghosts back, but can you at least, not punish them so much? Show a little mercy."

"They didn’t, so why should I?" Yu Holea asked softly.

Even though her tone was soft, the goddess knew that Yu Holea was firm on her words.

Looking at the calm expression on Yu Holea’s face for a moment the goddess didn’t know what to say.

Yu Holea chuckled.

Even though she can’t see the goddess’s expression, she could feel her speechlessness and said,

"Goddess, I can take those ghosts back, if you punish those evildoers"

The goddess finally nodded,

"Okay."

Yu Holea didn’t expect the goddess to agree so quickly.

"But I hope that once I punish them, you will take those ghosts back." She said lightly.

Yu Holea narrowed her eyes.

For the first time, she felt that something was very wrong with the situation.

If the goddess truly cared about those candidates, she should have visited Yu Holea long ago.

Why did she come to visit Yu Holea only after 6 days?

And if she didn’t care about them, so why did she confront her in the first place?

So...confusing!

Whoosh.

The goddess disappeared from her spot and Yu Holea calmly looked around, before finally dropping to her knees.

Her calm expression changed and she started to breathe deeply.

Even though the confrontation seemed normal, only Yu Holea knew how difficult it was for her to hold till now...

The goddess’s pressure was something even Yu Holea couldn’t handle.

She slowly stood up, her legs slightly trembling, and made her way back to the villa.

Lira and Sir Aldric followed closely behind, concern evident on their faces.

"My lady, are you alright?" Lira asked, her voice filled with worry.

She couldn’t help but blame Yu Holea,

"My lady, why did you oppose the goddess? The goddess is gentle but when it comes to confrontation, she is..."

"I’m fine," Yu Holea replied, her voice steady but exhausted. "It was just... a lot to handle."

As for why she opposed the goddess so much? Well, who would take a stand for her Jun if she didn’t?

Sir Aldric nodded.

"The goddess’s presence is overwhelming, even for the strongest among us. You did well to stand your ground."

To say he was impressed was an underestimation.

Yu Holea’s bravery just now truly made Sir Aldric relieved.

Once in her villa, she asked Sir Aldric and Lira to return. After ensuring that no one was around her, Yu Holea started vomiting blood.

Her internal organs were injured because of the pressure. Just how powerful was the goddess?

Yu Holea wiped the blood from her lips, her face pale.

The confrontation had taken a toll on her, but she couldn’t afford to show weakness in front of her subordinates or the goddess.

She stumbled to her bed, sat down, and flicked a healing talisman.

The pain in her chest subsided slightly, but she knew it would take time to fully recover.

As she lay back, Yu Holea couldn’t stop herself from falling asleep.

.....................

The next day.

Ding dong.

Yu Holea opened the door and saw Lira.

The first thought that came to Yu Holea’s mind was...what was Lira doing outside her villa?

It wasn’t even time yet to go to the Grand mansion.

"My lady, there’s someone here to see you," Lira said.

Yu Holea frowned. "Who is it?"

It was only 6 o’clock in the morning!

"Miss Owl. She refuses to leave until she speaks with you."

Lira was frustrated too. Earlier Miss Owl only used to pester Yu Holea but now...she was campaigning just outside Yu Holea’s villa!

This was too much!

If this madness continued, then god knows what more Lady Owl will do!

Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed. "Let her in."

Lira nodded and left the room. Moments later, the owl-masked woman entered, her posture tense and her eyes filled with desperation.

"Sister Yu," the woman began, her voice trembling slightly.

"Please, I beg you. Help me pass the test. I will do anything you ask."

Yu Holea regarded her coldly.

"Candidate Owl, don’t you think you are now overdoing things?"

Miss Owl, her eyes pleading through the mask, took a deep breath.

"Sister Yu, please understand. I have no other options left. The test is my last chance to prove myself. I am willing to do anything."

Yu Holea’s expression remained stoic.

"It is not my business."

"Sister Yu, I know, you are still angry because of your fiance’s matter. I was wrong. I regret my actions every day. Please, Sister Yu, have mercy."

So she knows. Yet she dares to show her face.

Lira almost wanted to laugh from anger.

How can someone be so... self-centered and selfish?

"Mercy is not something you earn by asking. It’s something you earn by changing your actions.

If you truly seek redemption, then confess your sins to the goddess. Perhaps she will show you the mercy you crave. But do not expect it from me." Yu Holea said lightly.

Expecting mercy from her? Dream on!

Miss Owl’s head hung low, tears streaming down her face.

How could she confess to the goddess?

Impossible!

If she confessed to the goddess then wouldn’t her chance of getting acknowledged by heaven decrease?

This Yu Holea was too vicious!

B*tch!

However, when she remembered her desperate situation, she swallowed all the curses and said.

"Sister Yu, I can’t please understand..."

"Candidate Owl, please leave. Otherwise, I will ask my knight to throw you out, which will be...not so good for you."

Miss Owl gritted her teeth and she could only leave.

However, she swore in her heart that if one day she got the chance...she would definitely take revenge.

Yu Holea with Lira and Sir Aldric walked towards the Grand Mansion.

Once inside, Yu Holea was surprised to find that all the candidates were present in the hall.

Sensing Yu Holea’s arrival, all the candidates present snorted.

But no one dared to show their dislike openly.

Yu Holea sat on her seat and just heard the swan-masked woman ask,

"Sister Phoenix, do you know as to why the goddess has asked all of us to assemble here so early in the morning?"

Sister Phoenix said lightly,

"As far as I know, maybe the goddess wants to punish those who have brought ghosts to a pure place like Goddess City."

She was hinting that Yu Holea was going to be punished by the goddess.

"Isn’t it just so unfortunate," said the woman with a hawk mask, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Some people just can’t seem to follow the rules, can they?"

Another candidate, wearing a lion mask, chuckled.

"Rules are meant to be followed by everyone, not just the weak."

The swan-masked woman smirked, leaning slightly towards Yu Holea’s direction.

"One would think that after all the trouble they’ve caused, they’d be more careful. But some people never learn."

"Do you think the goddess will be lenient?"

"I doubt it. She has a way of dealing with those who disturb the peace."

"Oh, I’m sure the goddess will handle it," Sister Phoenix said lightly. "After all, she’s not one to tolerate insubordination."

The lion-masked candidate laughed.

"Maybe the offender will learn their lesson this time. Though, I wouldn’t hold my breath."

"Haha! You are right, Sister Lion."

Yu Holea calmly looked at the people who were mocking her and for a moment she wanted to laugh.

Just how arrogant someone could be to forget their own mistake and point out another person’s mistake?
