Chapter 452: Mr. Zhao And Mrs. Zhao

Chapter 452: Chapter 452: Mr. Zhao And Mrs. Zhao

Yu Holea gave him a reassuring smile. "Yes, I am. You must be Mr. Lin. Thank you for coming to pick me up."

Mr. Lin’s eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "It’s an honor to meet you, Celestial Master Yu. Please, this way."

As they walked towards the sleek, black car waiting nearby, Mr. Lin couldn’t help but harbor doubts.

He had expected an older, more seasoned exorcist, not someone so young. Could this girl, who looked barely out of her teens, really possess the skills needed to save his master’s family?

They drove through the bustling streets of City A in silence, Mr. Lin stealing glances at Yu Holea through the rearview mirror.

Her serene expression and confident demeanor didn’t match her youthful appearance.

He tried to push his doubts aside, reminding himself of the glowing recommendations he had received about her abilities.

Yu Holea didn’t initiate the conversation. She pulled out her phone and sent a quick message to Qiao Jun, letting him know she had arrived safely.

Then she messaged Yu Sicong and checked the important messages.

As they neared their destination, a grand residential tower came into view.

The building exuded opulence, with its sleek design and meticulously landscaped gardens.

Mr. Lin parked the car and led Yu Holea inside, their footsteps echoing in the marble-floored lobby.

They took the elevator to the tenth floor, the ride was silent but filled with a palpable tension.

As they walked down the corridor towards room 1010, Yu Holea sensed a strange, negative energy radiating from the direction of the room.

It was as if the air itself grew thicker and colder with each step.

"We’re here," Mr. Lin said, stopping in front of the door.

His hand trembled slightly as he inserted the key and turned the handle.

The door creaked open, revealing a spacious yet dimly lit room.

The atmosphere inside was oppressive, and Yu Holea could feel the malevolent presence lurking within.

She stepped inside, her senses on high alert.

Inside the living room, a woman and a man were conversing.

They both looked weary and distressed, their voices tinged with despair.

"It’s all because of that incident," the woman said, her voice trembling. "If only we had been more careful, this wouldn’t have happened to our son."

The man sighed heavily, rubbing his temples. "I know, but who could have predicted it would lead to this? We were just trying to do the right thing."

"We should have listened to the warnings," she continued, tears welling up in her eyes. "Now Junjie is suffering, and it’s our fault."

As the couple lamented their son’s plight, they recounted their previous encounters with celestial masters, each ending in disappointment and despair.

"We’ve tried everything," the man sighed, his voice heavy with defeat. "But none of them could help Junjie. Some were even more cowardly than us, refusing to confront the darkness that has consumed our son."

The woman nodded, her elegant face etched with sorrow. "We’ve put all our hope in this supposed Celestial Master Yu. They say she’s the best, the only one who can save Junjie."

Just then, Mr. Lin coughed discreetly, attracting the attention of the couple. Startled, they turned to see Yu Holea standing beside him.

Yu Holea listened intently, piecing together fragments of their conversation. Whatever had happened seemed to be the catalyst for their son’s possession.

She could sense their guilt and fear, emotions that likely amplified the negative energy in the house.

Confusion flickered across the woman’s face as she scanned the room, searching for the celestial master they had been expecting.

"Where is Celestial Master Yu?" she asked, her tone tinged with impatience.

It was clear she didn’t consider Yu Holea, with her youthful appearance, to be the seasoned expert they had been promised.

Mr. Lin’s expression tightened slightly, but before he could respond, Yu Holea stepped forward, her demeanor calm yet commanding.

"Excuse me," Yu Holea said softly, stepping further into the room. "I’m Celestial Master Yu. I understand you’re dealing with a difficult situation, and I’m here to help."

The woman’s eyes widened in disbelief, and for a moment, there was silence as her mind struggled to reconcile the image of the young girl before her with the formidable celestial master they had been expecting.

Finally, she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You? But you’re just a child..."

Before the woman could say more, the husband stepped forward, a measured smile on his face.

"Please forgive my wife," he said, extending a hand to Yu Holea.

"I’m Mr. Zhao Ming, and this is my wife, Zi Ling. We’re grateful you’ve come, Celestial Master Yu."

Mr. Zhao turned to a nearby servant and instructed,

"Please, serve our guest some tea."

Mrs. Zhao looked as if she wanted to continue her objections, but Mr. Zhao gently took her by the arm.

"Ling, may I speak with you in private for a moment?" he asked his tone firm yet gentle.

Mrs. Zhao hesitated, casting a skeptical glance at Yu Holea, but finally nodded.

"Of course," she said, her voice strained.

Mr. Zhao led his wife into an adjoining room, closing the door behind them.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Mrs. Zhao turned to her husband, her eyes flashing with frustration.

"Ming, how can you be so calm?" she demanded.

"This girl—she’s too young! She can’t possibly be the exorcist we need. Our son’s life is at stake, and we can’t afford to take any chances."

Mr. Zhao sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Ling, I understand your concerns. Believe me, I do. I have my doubts as well. But Director Ou recommended her personally. He has never steered us wrong before."

Mrs. Zhao shook her head, her voice rising in desperation.

"But look at her! She looks like she should still be in school, not fighting malevolent spirits. This isn’t some trivial matter, Ming. Our son is possessed. His life is in danger!"

"I know," Mr. Zhao said softly, his eyes filled with sorrow.

"But we have tried everything else. Every other celestial master has failed us. We have to give her a chance. We can’t afford not to."

Mrs. Zhao’s eyes welled up with tears.

"I just... I can’t stand the thought of losing him, Ming. And I can’t bear to put my hope in someone who might not be able to help."

Mr. Zhao took his wife’s hands in his, his voice gentle but firm.

"Ling, we have to try. For Junjie’s sake. Let’s not judge her by her appearance. If Director Ou believes in her, then we should too."

Mrs. Zhao looked away, her shoulders trembling.

"It’s so hard, Ming. I don’t want to be polite. I don’t want to hope and be disappointed again."

"I know," he said, pulling her into a comforting embrace.

"But we have to be strong for Junjie. Let’s see what she can do. If there’s even a chance she can help, we owe it to our son to take it."

After a long moment, Mrs. Zhao nodded, wiping her tears.

"Alright. We’ll give her a chance. But I’m not going to stand by if I think she’s not capable."

"Fair enough," Mr. Zhao agreed. "But let’s approach this with an open mind. For Junjie."

They reentered the living room, where Yu Holea was patiently waiting.

The servant had placed a delicate porcelain cup of tea in front of her, but she hadn’t touched it, instead focusing her attention on the oppressive atmosphere in the room.

Mr. Zhao cleared his throat.

"Celestial Master Yu I am sorry to trouble you."

Yu Holea briefly glanced at Mr. Zhao. In fact, due to her exceptional hearing, she heard their entire conversation.

Mr. Zhao wasn’t a bad person considering he at least gave her a chance to prove herself before making any decision.

Mrs. Zhao’s skepticism was understandable, given the dire situation.

Yu Holea knew she needed to prove her capability not just with words, but with action.

Yu Holea took a deep breath and gave Mr. Zhao a reassuring nod.

"No trouble at all, Mr. Zhao. Let’s focus on helping Junjie."

She turned to Mrs. Zhao, her eyes steady and calm.

"I understand your concerns, Mrs. Zhao. I promise you, I will do everything in my power to help your son. Let’s work together to bring peace back to your family."

"You..." Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Zhao were stunned.

How did Yu Holea know their son’s name?

Most importantly how did she know that Mrs. Zhao was skeptical about her?

They both turned to look at Mr. Lin thinking he was the one who had told Yu Holea about their son’s name.

Mr. Lin instantly shook his head, indicating he wasn’t the one who had told Yu Holea, Young Master Zhao’s name!

Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Zhao looked at each other and thought about whether they had conversed too loudly.

"I heard your conversation." Yu Holea stated calmly.
