Chapter 436: A Step Further

Chapter 436: Chapter 436: A Step Further

Yu Holea paused in her tracks, her heart skipping a beat at the sound of Qiao Jun’s pained voice. She turned back, concern etched on her features.

"Brother Jun, what happened? Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with worry.

Qiao Jun turned to face her, a faint grimace on his face as he rubbed his stomach.

"It’s nothing, Lea. It is just a previous injury acting up," he replied, trying to downplay the discomfort.

Yu Holea’s eyes widened with concern.

"A previous injury? You should have told me. You need to rest," she insisted, moving closer to him.

Qiao Jun shook his head, offering a reassuring smile despite the pain.

"It’s really nothing serious. I just need to take it easy for a bit," he said, though his eyes betrayed his discomfort.

Yu Holea’s worry deepened.

"You should lie down. Overexerting yourself isn’t good," she said, guiding him towards the bed.

Qiao Jun nodded and said,

"Why don’t you check it?"

Yu Holea paused and after processing Qiao Jun’s words, she nodded.

"Hand." Yu Holea said with a blank expression and Qiao Jun showed his wrist to her.

It just happened that once Qiao Jun removed his hand from his stomach, his abs appeared in Yu Holea’s vision.

She couldn’t help but marvel at the sight, her eyes widening slightly at the unexpected view.

Yu Holea’s gaze lingered on his abdomen for a moment longer than necessary, her cheeks flushing slightly as she realized her prolonged scrutiny.

Clearing her throat, she quickly refocused her attention on his hand, gently examining it for any signs of injury.

"Lea." Qiao Jun called out in a husky voice and Yu Holea shivered for some reason.

"Yes?"

"Why is your face turning so red?"

Yu Holea subconsciously touched her face but denied it at the same time,

"No! You may be seeing things!"

Qiao Jun chuckled and dragged his tone as he said,

"Okay, I am wrong. Your face is not red, your breathing is not fast and your heart is not beating fast."

Yu Holea pretended not to hear the hidden meaning behind Qiao Jun’s words and said,

"You are alright. The reason why your stomach was aching..."

Suddenly Qiao Jun held Yu Holea’s hand and pulled her towards him. In a swift motion, he pulled her onto his lap, his arms wrapping around her waist as he held her close.

Yu Holea gasped in surprise, her heart racing at the sudden intimacy.

"Brother Jun, what are you doing?" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushing crimson.

Qiao Jun’s eyes twinkled with mischief as he grinned up at her, his hold on her tightening slightly.

"Just making sure you’re able to examine me perfectly," he said in a low husky voice.

Yu Holea tried to struggle but Qiao Jun held her firmly.

Suddenly Qiao Jun said,

"Lea, you have completed your 16th year right?"

Yu Holea was confused but nodded her head.

"This means that you can be considered a half-adult?"

Yu Holea nodded.

Not a half adult, she could be considered a full adult.

"So Lea, don’t you think we should take a step further?"

"Hm?" Yu Holea already had an answer as to what Qiao Jun’s words meant, in her heart but she was shocked.

"How about trying kissing?" Qiao Jun asked in a soft voice.

Kissing was a very common thing for today’s youth.

Some even lose their first kiss at the age of 13. Yu Holea on the other hand has completed her 16th year of life, so Qiao Jun thought that it would be okay to ask Yu Holea for a kiss.

He knew that he was being greedy.

But when it comes to Yu Holea, he truly can’t control himself.

Yu Holea was silent.

Kissing was a significant step in any relationship, and Yu Holea couldn’t deny that she had thought about it before. But now, faced with the reality of the moment, she couldn’t help but feel a rush of uncertainty.

"Qiao Jun, I..." she began, her voice trailing off as she searched for the right words.

Qiao Jun looked at her with gentle understanding, his eyes filled with warmth and affection.

"You don’t have to if you’re not ready, Lea. I just thought... maybe we could take this step together," he said softly, his tone reassuring.

Yu Holea felt a wave of gratitude wash over her at Qiao Jun’s considerate words.

She knew he wasn’t pressuring her, but rather, he was offering her the opportunity to make a choice—to take a step forward in their relationship if she felt comfortable doing so.

Taking a deep breath, Yu Holea met Qiao Jun’s gaze.

"Okay," she said finally, her voice steady despite the fluttering of her heart.

Qiao Jun’s eyes lit up with delight, a smile spreading across his face.

"Really?" he asked, his voice tinged with excitement.

Yu Holea nodded, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Yes, really."

With a tender expression, Qiao Jun leaned in closer, his lips hovering just inches from hers.

Yu Holea’s heart raced as she closed the distance between them, her eyes fluttering shut.

Just then.

"Second Brother~" Qiao Li entered the room, followed by Qiao Zixin.

Yu Holea stiffened and she hurriedly jumped away from Qiao Jun

Qiao Jun on the other hand froze too.

The atmosphere turned cold and no one spoke.

For a moment, no one spoke.

When Qiao Jun came to his senses, he looked at Qiao Li and Qiao Zixin with a dark gaze.

Truly!

They can’t even let him kiss his girlfriend! They should have at least waited for him to finish or knocked on the door before entering! Why did they abruptly enter the room?

Qiao Jun’s frustration simmered beneath the surface as he shot a pointed glare at his siblings, his jaw clenched tight.

Qiao Li and Qiao Zixin exchanged a guilty glance, realizing the gravity of the situation.

But suddenly they realized something and instead of feeling guilty, they both turned to look at Qiao Jun sharply.

Qiao Li suddenly walked up to Yu Holea, took her hand, and walked away.

Qiao Jun didn’t stop her.

He knew his girlfriend had thin skin. If he stopped her now, she wouldn’t have the chance to leave the room and feel ashamed by just standing in the same space as him.

"What was that?" Qiao Zixin asked. His tone was harsh.

Qiao Jun didn’t answer and instead said,

"Wait for Li to appear, before I answer you."

He was too calm.

As if he didn’t see Qiao Zixin’s sharp gaze.

Qiao Li reached Yu Holea’s room and withdrew her hand. She looked at Yu Holea who was lowering her head and felt helpless.

"Lea you..."

Yu Holea bit her lips and truly felt sad feeling Qiao Li’s gaze on herself.

She was afraid and didn’t lift her head for fear that she would see disappointment in Qiao Li’s eyes.

Qiao Li sighed softly, her heart aching at the sight of Yu Holea’s distress.

"Lea, look at me," Qiao Li said gently, her voice soft and reassuring.

Slowly, Yu Holea lifted her head with a blank expression.

Qiao Li offered her a small smile, trying to lighten up.

"I’m sorry for interrupting, Lea. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable," she said sincerely.

Yu Holea was surprised and shook her head,

"Huh? No! I should be the one who should be apologizing. I...I kept this matter a secret from you."

Qiao Li chuckled in her heart.

Did Yu Holea think that no one noticed her secret interaction with Qiao Jun?

From the moment Qiao Jun didn’t allow her to sleep with Yu Holea, she understood that her second brother had successfully trapped Yu Holea in his trap.

"It’s alright. Now you can tell me. I would like to hear how you and the second brother confirmed your relationship and all the twists and turns."

Yu Holea couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief at Qiao Li’s understanding response.

"Thank you, Qiao Li," Yu Holea said sincerely, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Qiao Li returned the smile, her eyes warm with affection.

As if remembering something Qiao Li’s smile vanished and she said,

"Lea, I will hear it after taking my second brother’s class. You wait here."

Before Yu Holea could stop Qiao Li, she had already left.

Yu Holea could only wish in her heart that Qiao Jun wouldn’t be scolded too much.

Qiao Li stormed into Qiao Jun’s room and shouted at Qiao Jun,

"How could you do this!"

Qiao Jun didn’t answer her and waved his hand. The door closed and both Qiao Zixin and Qiao Li’s courage vanished instantly.

"Now let’s talk."

Qiao Zixin glanced nervously at Qiao Li, unsure of how to proceed under his second brother’s intense gaze.

Qiao Li took a deep breath, her expression serious as she addressed Qiao Jun.

"Second Brother, what were you thinking? You know that Yu Holea is still young, and such intimate actions... they’re not appropriate," she said firmly
