"Aunt Mila, I must say you are great."

Mrs. Qiao chuckled and said,

"Indeed. Otherwise, have you ever seen an elder using their superpower, just to make a junior listen to her?"

Aunt Mila by now had controlled her emotions and she said in a sly tone,

"Sister Qin you are being too mean. I was just checking whether my nephew’s strength has improved or not."

Qiao Jun’s eyes narrowed.

That was the surprising thing.

The reason why his face fell, was because even though his superpower improved significantly, he always got hypnotized by Aunt Mila.

It was as if it didn’t matter how powerful he became, he would never be able to defeat Aunt Mila.

Mrs. Qiao laughed too,

"Oh? By forcing him to listen to your demand?"

Aunt Mila shook her head and asked,

"So how is everything going on?"

"Good!" Mrs. Qiao beamed.

"Alright. Oh, right! I remember I need to meet some business partner, I will see you later."

Saying so, she signalled her daughter who reluctantly looked at Qiao Jun and could only go along with her mother.

However she didn’t forget to mouth the word, "Brother tell me about sister-in-law later!"

Qiao Jun shook his head while Mrs. Qiao chuckled.

Once they left, Mrs. Qiao asked,

"Did you not notice?"

Qiao Jun narrowed his eyes,

"I was on guard the entire time. I just don’t know why I still got hypnotized."

It wasn’t like Qiao Jun was weak. However, his Aunt Mila specialized in mental cultivation.

She is one of the top managers of the International Superhuman Bureau, so it was expected that she was strong yet Qiao Jun felt that he had made significant improvement and that now, he would be able to defend against her.

Mrs. Qiao shook her head and said,

"It’s alright. Let’s go downstairs."

Qiao Jun nodded and followed her to the dining room.

The current head of the family was Cai Bao.

Old Master Qiao died in a car accident and the Qiao family went into chaos. Each branch was fighting for power except for the first branch.

"Now let’s start the dinner." Cai Bao said after looking at everyone one by one.

During the dinner, no one dared to argue and the atmosphere was harmonious.

But that was on the surface the reality was, in their heart each of them was scheming against each other.

When the dinner was almost finished, Qiao Li placed her fork and spoon on the table and wiped her mouth from the tissue.

Qiao Zixin and Qiao Zirui too did the same thing.

Kris was confused by their action but he copied them.

What he didn’t know was, that all the Qiao siblings were preparing for the war that was about to commence.

One of the aunts suddenly asked,

"Elder brother Qiao, is it true that your corporation recently lost a big deal."

Qiao Zixin was the one who answered,

"Aunt Dutang, we didn’t lose the deal. It was because of the problem we detected. The material provided by the business partner was not up to the mark so we decided to terminate the deal to protect the reputation of our corporation."

Aunt Dutang raised an eyebrow skeptically, "Is that so? But I heard rumors that your company’s financial situation isn’t as stable as you claim."

Qiao Zixin maintained his composure,

"Rumors are just rumors, Aunt. Our company is doing just fine, thank you for your concern."

Aunt Dutang gritted her teeth and gave a look to someone.

Suddenly one of the men asked,

"Oh? How strange I heard that you are recently facing some problems regarding mismanagement and internal discord within your company. Care to comment on that?"

Qiao Zixin couldn’t come up with the answer because it was indeed true. Recently the company was getting divided due to internal discord.

However these things were only known by the higher authority, how does his loser Sixth Uncle know about it?

Seeing Qiao Zixin silent the Sixth Uncle was thrilled and continued,

"What I mean to say is that, if being the half-head of the family and maintaining your company’s power is getting difficult you can always share your worries with your Sixth Uncle."

Qiao Jun smirked

"Sixth Uncle, I think you should be worried about your own company. I have heard that your cosmetic company is on the verge of bankruptcy?"

Sixth Uncle almost choked on his food and asked in horror,

The moment he questioned, he covered his mouth with a regretful expression.

He emphasied the word ’our’ to make Shi Yao realise that she was taking the approach, however, Shi Yao didn’t take the hint, instead she felt that she was wining and asked in a sly tone,

"Oh? Now you are calling that beggar your savior to make her sound like a noble person?"

Qiao Jun’s grip on the cup tightened and he suddenly said,

"Aunt Shi I will repeat it once again. She is our savior, not beggar."

The atmosphere turned a bit cold.

Qiao Li who was silent till now too got offended and said,

"She is my best friend and Aunt ShiYao I would advise you to choose your words more carefully. The girl you’re referring to is not a beggar, and she certainly deserves more respect than you’re giving her."

Shi Yao’s expression turned disdainful as she scoffed,

"Oh please, spare me the melodrama. No matter how you try to dress it up, she’s nothing more than a charity case."

In her heart, she was getting excited.

It was after a long time since she had seen the member of the first branch family of the Qiao family getting so worked up.

That girl Fu Yun didn’t lie to her. That girl named Yu Holea might have placed some spell on them. She(Aunt Shi Yao) won’t help them though.

However it won’t be a problem to act as if she is concerned about them and once they really suffer a fall, she would simply claim how good she was to warn them.

Giving Fu Yun 10 million was worth it if she could take down the entire first branch.

Shi Yao elbowed her husband Qiao Kai and whispered,

"See? I told you those first-branch brats were up to something fishy. Now they’re getting all defensive about some random girl they picked up from the streets."

Qiao Kai nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent.

"You’re right, my dear. It seems like they’re trying to cover up their tracks, but they won’t fool us. We’ll keep an eye on them and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike."
