Chapter 403: Aunt Mila

Chapter 403: Chapter 403: Aunt Mila

Yu Sicong looked at his mother with curiosity.

"Of course, Mom," he said, eager to make amends for his earlier behavior. "What is it?"

Mrs. Yu’s smirk widened into a mischievous grin but she hid it and leaned in closer to her son. "I want you to introduce me to Yu Holea," she said.

Yu Sicong’s eyes widened in surprise at his mother’s request.

"But mother...Yu Holea she won’t be ready!"

Yu Sile chuckled and said,

"Oh? When she can give you a chance of course she can give us a chance to us too!"

In his heart, Yu Sile only wanted to meet with Yu Holea and ask for forgiveness and hence he didn’t realize how wrong his statement was.

Yu Sicong’s expression suddenly changed and he said firmly,

"No! You can’t meet Holea. At least not with this attitude!"

Yu Sile was anxious and asked,

"Why?"

Yu Sicong stared at Yu Sile intently as he said,

"Because she won’t give you a chance without your efforts. Do you know how much time I had to wait before I could make a place for myself in her heart?"

Yu Sicong’s roar made Yu Sile silent.

Yu Shuchang patted Yu Sile’s shoulder because he understood that Yu Sicong was saying the right thing.

Yu Sile shut his mouth when he understood that he was wrong.

After all, Yu Sicong was saying the right thing.

Yu Sicong looked at the three members and continued,

"Do you know what she has felt? After hurting her so much, all you want is to meet her and apologize to her, but do you know how uncomfortable she will be once she sees you all?"

Yu Sicong’s question made the members of the Yu family feel speechless.

Even though Yu Sicong’s words were a bit too harsh, they knew that it was all true!

Seeing them silent, Yu Sicong didn’t further scold them.

How could he when he had also done what the 3 members of the Yu family were doing?

Yu Sicong sighed and held his forehead, while the 3 members lowered their heads as if they had done something wrong.

.............................

In a luxurious grand mansion.

In the luxurious grand mansion, adorned with opulent decorations and bathed in soft, golden light, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as guests began to arrive for the annual meeting of the Qiao family’s business empire.

The grand hall was transformed into a magnificent ballroom, with crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, casting shimmering reflections across the marble floors.

Mr. Qiao and Qiao Zixin were surrounded by various businessmen, Mrs. Qiao and Qiao Li were busy with the socialites, while Kris and Qiao Zirui were sitting in the chair obediently looking around with a curious gaze.

On the other hand, Qiao Jun was overlooking the entire party hall from the second floor.

He didn’t even want to go downstairs considering the things he had experienced till now...

"Brother Jun its been a long time~"

"Brother Jun you are very naughty! How could you not inform us about your arrival?"

"Jun~"

All those nauseating voices echoed in his mind and Qiao Jun almost wanted to throw up. Can’t they have basic decency and leave him all alone?

Just as he was enjoying the view, he heard a sweet voice,

"Second brother~"

Qiao Jun turned around and saw a beautiful girl with blond hair and green eyes because she was half-Chinese, her skin color even though pale still looked unique.

The girl was Qiao Jun’s distant relative, however, since her childhood, she had a good relationship with the Qiao Family.

As she grew up she mostly stayed in Europe with her parents but she often visited the Qiao family during holidays.

"Vivian," Qiao Jun greeted her with a polite nod, trying to hide his reluctance to engage in conversation.

Vivian, however, seemed undeterred by Qiao Jun’s reserved demeanor as she approached him with a bright smile.

"Brother I have good news and bad news for you, which one do you want to hear?"

Qiao Jun raised an eyebrow and said,

"Bad news."

Vivian’s smile faltered slightly as she hesitated and said,

"The bad news is that your presence here has caused quite a stir among some of the guests."

Qiao Jun shook his head and finally, a small smile appeared on his face. This child was still the same!

Vivian laughed when she saw Qiao Jun’s small smile,

"Second brother, have you come here to hide yourself from the beautiful girls?"

Qiao Jun remained silent and Vivian knew instantly that she had guessed it right.

In the tone of a child, she said,

"Second Brother, if you keep hiding god knows when I will get to meet my sister-in-law."

Qiao Jun who would usually brush this matter off, suddenly smirked and said,

"I don’t think so."

Vivian paused, and asked with a surprised expression,

"You have a girlfriend already?"

Qiao Jun only smirked.

"Oh my god! Who is she? Where does she live? Can meet her? How does she look? What is her age? When are you going to fix an outing for us together..."

Qiao Jun covered her mouth and said,

"Calm down! Calm down! One question at a time!"

Vivian could only nod and when Qiao Jun moved his hand, Vivan heaved a sigh of relief and said,

"God! Okay! First, tell me how did you meet her?"

Qiao Jun chuckled,

"Under a tree."

Vivian asked with enthusiasm,

"Oh? Who took the initiative to talk?"

Qiao Jun thought about something a smile appeared on his face,

"She. She hugged me and when I ignored her and slapped her hand away, she almost looked as if someone snatched her candy."

True when they first met, he was in cat form and she had tried to hug him.

Vivian was shocked to her core.

So bold?

Vivian couldn’t help but admire her sister-in-law. Just how bold she must have been to hug his brother at their first meet?

"So what did you do?" Vivian asked.

According to what she knows her brother would have definitely kicked her or something, right?

"Actually that time she helped me later, so I sent a sorry gift for hurting her."

Vivian nodded. Pretty normal.

"Then?"

Qiao Jun chuckled,

"Then what? The second time she met me she called me handsome! I was stunned at her boldness."

Vivian’s eyes widened. Her second sister-in-law was very...uh...she doesn’t how to describe her.

"Then?"

Qiao Jun was about to say something when a discordant voice sounded,

"Oh? Isn’t this are little Jun?"

Qiao Jun looked over and saw Vivian’s mom, Mila.

Mila was a European beauty with striking features and an air of sophistication. Her presence commanded attention, and she exuded confidence as she approached Qiao Jun with a knowing smile.

"Aunt," Qiao Jun greeted her politely, though his tone carried a hint of reservation.

Mila’s smile widened as she reached Qiao Jun’s side, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"It’s been a while since I’ve seen you, Jun," she remarked, her voice tinged with amusement.

Qiao Jun nodded in acknowledgment.

"So what were you all talking about?"

Before Qiao Jun could answer, Vivian answered,

"Second brother was telling about sister-in-law."

Aunt Mila’s smile flattered for a bit before she cleared her throat, regaining her composure.

"Ah, I see," she replied, her tone carefully neutral. "And who is this lucky lady?"

Qiao Jun smiled,

"The day I marry her, I will tell you."

Aunt Mila chuckled

"How can that be possible little Jun? Even if you want to hide your little wife, you have to present her to the Elders before getting the right to marry her."

Qiao Jun tilted his head as he said,

"Is that so? Well, I don’t think that is needed."

Aunt Mila chuckled but there was no mirth in her eyes,

"How can that be Jun? After all, you are the most outstanding talent in the entire Qiao family, we can’t let any girl with a poor background marry you after all."

Aunt Mila’s expression softened before she continued, and she placed a reassuring hand on Qiao Jun’s shoulder.

"I understand your sentiment, Jun," she said gently.

"But you must also consider the responsibilities and expectations that come with being a member of the Qiao family. Your choices reflect not only on yourself but on all of us."

Qiao Jun who never showed even a bit of hesitancy turned a bit silent.

The hand that Aunt Mila was placing on his shoulder though light, was weighing him down.

A glint flashed past in his eyes.

He wanted to say something, however, for some reason, he felt that Aunt Mila was saying the right thing.

His eyes suddenly widened.

This...

"You don’t need to worry about that Mila." Before Qiao Jun could say anything, Mrs. Qiao’s voice sounded and the click of the high heels sounded broke the spell.

Aunt Mila’s face distorted, while Vivian who was in a daze till now, suddenly came to her senses and looked at her mother in shock.
