Qiao Jun finally looked at Ou Xiangsu. There wasn’t any emotion in his eyes as he said,

"Oh hi."

He didn’t hold Ou Xiangsu’s hand and only nodded at her politely.

Yu Holea narrowed her eyes.

Normally Qiao Jun wouldn’t even acknowledge any girl let alone nod at them...

But today he nodded and even replied!

Yu Holea couldn’t help but frown.

A bright smile appeared on Ou Xiangsu’s face,

"Jun you are still like you were used to. Cold and detach."

Qiao Jun didn’t reply and turned to look at Yu Holea.

When he saw Yu Holea looking at him, he smiled.

In his mind, he was rejoicing that Yu Holea finally looked at him!

He was thinking about various ways to ask her, to be with him while Ou Xiangsu froze.

She had never seen Qiao Jun smiling.

It was her first time seeing Qiao Jun smile.

How could someone’s smile be so mesmerizing?

Those rows of pearly white teeth, the warmth in his eyes, the way his lips curved ever so slightly—it was as if a ray of sunshine had pierced through the clouds, illuminating everything around him.

Ou Xiangsu couldn’t look away and suddenly she touched Qiao Jun’s shoulder,

"Jun you..."

Before she could finish though, Qiao Jun’s expression turned cold, and he backed away

His good mood was instantly destroyed and he looked at Oou Xiangsu with a cold expression.

"Miss Ou, it’s better if you maintain distance from me."

Ou Xiangsu was stunned before laughing,

"Jun what are yous saying, you are my..."

Before she could finish her words though, Qiao Li interrupted and said,

"Guys we are getting late! We should go now!"

With that, she held Yu Holea’s hand and Ou Xiangsu’s hand and started walking toward the gate.

Qiao Li had a smile on her face but in her heart, she was cursing her luck.

Earlier she thought that maybe only her younger brother and Yu Holea would join her but who would have thought that her second brother would follow along too?

She already knew that Ou Xiangsu was madly in love with her second brother...

It was to the extent that it became one of the reasons why they had to shift to City S!

It would have been fine if her brother and Yu Holea didn’t have any feelings for each other but now...

Now things were different. She can’t let Ou Xiangsu roam around her brother!

God knows how hurt Yu Holea would be once she knows the past between them.

On the way Kris and Qiao Zirui who were unaware of the tension chatted,

"Sister Holea, where were you? We were looking for you!"

Yu Holea who was thinking something, came out of the daze and said,

"I saw a cute puppy and was busy petting it."

Qiao Jun chuckled and said,

"Really? How cute the puppy was?"

Even though he had only asked a simple question, Yu Holea felt her cheeks turning red.

After all the only cute puppy she had petted before coming to an amusement park was Qiao Jun.

"Very cute." Yu Holea said with difficulty.

Qiao Jun moved closer to Yu Holea and said,

"Actually I like young ladies like you, those who love to pet cute puppies..."

Qiao Jun’s words were interrupted as Ou Xiangsu suddenly appeared between Yu Holea and Qiao Jun out of nowhere and said,

"I love puppies too! So do you like me too?"

Towards the end, Ou Xiangsu giggled.

"No!" Qiao Jun didn’t even look at Ou Xiangsu.

Ou Xiangsu pouted and tried to hold Qiao Jun’s hand but Qiao Jun dodged her claws and again went near Yu Holea.

Ou Xiangsu frowned and suddenly said to Yu Holea,

"You...what was your name."

Yu Holea who was seeing their interaction, ignored her.

Ou Xiangsu was a bit angry and said,

"I am asking to you."

Yu Holea didn’t reply.

Qiao Li couldn’t bear to see her best friend getting bullied and said,

"Xiangsu correct your way of asking. Your tone...it is as if you are asking a dog for their name."

Ou Xiangsu wanted to say something when she suddenly stopped after looking at Qiao Jun and changed into a polite tone,

"Miss, can you tell me your name?"

Yu Holea finally looked at Ou Xiangsu and replied.

"Yu Holea."

Ou Xiangsu maintained a polite smile on her face and said in a strange tone,

"Miss Yu if you don’t mind could you please stop coming in between me and Jun?"

Yu Holea suddenly felt a bit angry but at the same time, she felt Ou Xiangsu’s tone was strange...

Qiao Li paused and looked at Ou Xiangsu coldly,

"Xiangsu did you forget your spectacle at home?"

"Huh?"

"Otherwise you would realize that it wasn’t Yu Holea who was coming in between you and the second brother but it is ’you’ who was coming in between Holea and the second brother." Qiao Li said in a strange tone.

Ou Xiangsu’s expression changed for a minute second before it returned to normal and she said,

"Haha! Li you are so funny! Hahaha"

Qiao Li snorted and said nothing.

She wanted to continue to insult Ou Xiangsu but she understood that sometimes it is not good to continue to force a person into a corner.

Ou Xiangsu turned toward Qiao Jun ignoring Yu Holea and said,

"Jun why don’t we go to some separate park? We can catch up on various topics, such as what is going on in your life and what is going on in my family..."

Qiao Jun’s expression remained impassive as he replied in a serious tone,

"I’m fine here."

His serious expression was so charming that Ou Xiangsu forgot what she was arguing about and kept staring at him

Ou Xiangsu persisted, her tone becoming more insistent.

"But Jun, we used to have so much fun together. Don’t you miss those times?"

Qiao Jun shook his head and moved behind Yu Holea.

If someone looked at Qiao Jun carefully they would realize that he was having goosebumps and he was feeling disgusted which can be seen through his eyes.

Ou Xiangsu however didn’t seem to see and continued to say,

"Jun, I think you are being shy, come with me."

Saying so she held Qiao Jun’s wrist.

Yu Holea suddenly felt angry.

She looked at Ou Xiangsu and replied,

"No!"

Qiao Jun whose face had just turned a bit cold, suddenly calmed down.

He stared at Yu Holea with surprise.

Yu Holea on the other hand was looking at Ou Xiangsu with narrowed eyes and said,

"He said no! Can’t you understand?"

Then before anyone could react, Yu Holea slapped away Ou Xiangsu’s hand from Qiao Jun’s wrist and stood in between Ou Xiangsu and Qiao Jun.

Ou Xiangsu, taken aback by Yu Holea’s sudden assertiveness, recoiled slightly.

The smile on her face faltered, replaced by a look of surprise and indignation.

"How dare you!" Ou Xiangsu exclaimed, her voice tinged with anger.

"Who do you think you are?"

Yu Holea didn’t even bother to look at her and said,

"I am his friend and I know that a simple no means no. And stop touching him! He doesn’t like it when someone touches him."

"Then why are you holding his hand, won’t he feel disgusted with you too..." Just as Ou Xiangsu was about to counterattack, Qiao Jun interrupted and said,

"I don’t feel disgusted with Holea’s touch." Qiao Jun said seriously.

There was a finality to his tone, a clear indication that he meant what he said.

Ou Xiangsu, caught off guard by Qiao Jun’s interruption, blinked in surprise. She opened her mouth to respond but found herself at a loss for words.

For a moment, she simply stared at Qiao Jun, her expression a mixture of confusion and disbelief.

Was this still the same Qiao Jun that she knew?

Wasn’t he a cold-hearted person who didn’t even bother to look at young ladies and women?

Was he the same Qiao Jun who was looking at Yu Holea with...

He wasn’t looking at Yu Holea with....

Ou Xiangsu gritted her teeth...

A dangerous possibility appeared in her mind.

How could Qiao Jun, the same aloof and detached person she had known for years, suddenly show warmth and affection towards someone else?
