A cursed child...a witch...a jinx, these all were the names she acquired in her last life.

She was so used to those names that for once she even thought that she didn’t deserve to live.

Now that someone was calling her a lucky charm, Yu Holea felt that it was ridiculous.

However she didn’t want to dampen the Qiao family’s mood with her sad story and hence she smiled and said,

"No grandma, I am not some lucky charm...I..."

"Child there is no need to be humble." Cai Bao stopped her.

"Yeah." Mrs. Qiao nodded but in her mind, she was lost in her thoughts.

She was delighted that she found her child, but she was curious as to how Yu Holea saved Kris, even Qiao Zirui and Cai Bao too was curious.

Suddenly Kris who was sitting in Mrs. Qiao’s lap started wriggling.

"What happened?" Mrs. Qiao asked.

Kris looked at the door and so did Qiao Zirui.

Both of their faces turned pale.

"Who...who is...is he..." Kris asked.

When everyone looked in the direction in which Kris was pointing they found nothing.

"Kris stop trying to prank us." Qiao Li said. Kris had played a bit of a prank on her when they met a third time. So she thought that he was trying to prank everyone.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Qiao Zirui replied to him,

"He is the demon that hides under my bed...every night."

If there was someone else who would have said those words, everyone would have laughed it off but they knew that Qiao Zirui would never joke something about demons.

Kris asked with a pale face,

"Why is...is he smiling at me ?"

Qiao Zirui gulped and shook his head,

"I don’t know. He always...always used to stare at me...but never smiled..."

Yu Holea used her mystic energy to look at the door and almost vomited.

A strange human-like bald figure covered in red, green, and black paint with black eyes, a creepy smile, elongated stick-like hands, and a lean body was staring at Kris.

Yu Holea threw an exorcism talismans towards the direction of that figure.

The demon dodged the talismans without even sparing a single glance and he mouthed slowly some strange words.

Yu Holea saw how easily it flicked the talismans and was surprised.

"What is he saying?" She muttered.

Fu Haojin suddenly asked,

"How does he know ancient demonic language?"

"Ancient Demonic language?" Yu Holea asked in confusion.

"Yes, Ancient Demonic Language that demons of higher rank used to use to communicate. Only the subordinate of the Dark Lord knew this language."

"What was he saying?"

However this time instead of Fu Haojin, a strange hoarse voice sounded,

"I said stop interrupting me when I am looking at my prey, stupid girl."

When Yu Holea turned around she was shocked to find herself face-to-face with the demon.

Its presence seemed to suffocate the air around her, filling the room with a palpable sense of dread.

The creature’s eyes bore into hers with an intensity that sent chills down her spine, its sinister smile twisting into a mocking sneer.

The demon waited for Yu Holea to scream instead he heard Qiao Zirui and Kris scream,

"Don’t harm my sister."

"Don’t harm my beautiful sister."

"Holea what is happening?" Cai Bao asked when she saw how Yu Holea, Kris, and Qiao Zirui were looking at the air with a serious expression.

Especially the line by Kris and Qiao Zirui, along with their fearful expression alarmed everyone.

Yu Holea waved her hand and now everyone was able to see the demon.

Qiao Zixin took a step back, while a fearful expression appeared on everyone’s face.

"Wh...what...is...is this..thing..." Qiao Zixin asked.

Mr. Qiao walked toward the demon, but before he could even take a step, the demon snapped his fingers, and Mr. Qiao’s body got levitated.

Little Jun tried to use his power but he realized that a major part of his power was already used up.

Before meeting the General of Dark Lord’s Army, he had 100% power, after the fight he lost more than 90%.

Even after recovering for one month straight, he only recovered around 70%.

Which was again used to calm Mrs. Qiao down.

Now he was left with only 2% power.

He used the remaining 2% of his power to attack the demon.

However, before he could even attack the demon Yu Holea attacked the demon.

She used her mystic energy and threw it at the demon.

The demon, caught off guard by Yu Holea’s attack, recoiled momentarily as the mystic energy surged towards it.

Its eerie smile faltered for a fraction of a second before it regained its composure, its eyes narrowing in malice.

With a swift motion, the demon conjured a barrier of dark energy, deflecting Yu Holea’s mystic attack with ease.

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow and calmly said,

"Leave Uncle."

The demon’s sinister grin widened as it regarded Yu Holea with amusement, its eyes gleaming with malevolence.

"And who do we have here, challenging me?" it sneered, its voice dripping with contempt.

Yu Holea ignored his words and said,

"I will give you 2 options. Either you stop levitating Uncle Qiao and die in one go or you keep up with your act and I will give you an excruciating death."

The demon’s smirk widened, amused by Yu Holea’s defiance. "Ah, such bravado," it taunted, its voice oozing scornfully.

"But you underestimate the power that I wield. Your threats mean nothing to me, little girl."

Yu Holea shook her head and used her mystic energy to bring Mr. Qiao down,

"I didn’t threaten you, I was merely stating a fact."

As Yu Holea focused her mystic energy, the dark aura surrounding Mr. Qiao dissipated, and he landed safely on the ground, albeit shaken by the ordeal.

The demon’s eyes narrowed, its amusement turning into irritation at Yu Holea’s interference.

"You dare defy me?" it hissed, its voice echoing with an ominous undertone.

Yu Holea smiled,

"Defy? Aren’t you taking yourself too seriously?"

Everyone was stunned by how fearless Yu Holea was. In their memory, they always thought of Yu Holea as an innocent girl who would get scared in the face of monsters but now seeing how she faced the dangerous demon without backing down, broke their worldwide view.

The demon was so angry that he started to growl, its voice reverberating with fury.

Its eyes blazed with an unholy fire as it glared at Yu Holea, its sinister smile twisting into a snarl.

"You dare mock me, mortal?" it spat, its voice dripping with venom.

"You will regret crossing paths with me."

All the person present felt in their heart.

The room which was cold suddenly darkened. Cries of anguish echoed within the walls as the demon’s presence seemed to intensify, casting a shadow of fear over everyone present.

"Heng do something..." Cai Bao said in fear.

This was her first time seeing such a thing and she was frightened.

Qiao Zirui and Kris on the other hand almost jumped. As a kid, the scene in front of them and the voices they were hearing were too much for them to withstand.

Qiao Li and Qiao Zixin gulped.

"What...what is this place?" Qiao Zixin asked in fear.

"I...I don’t know...."

The demon irritated by their words moved his hands to attack and since Yu Holea was standing right in front of him, the chance of her getting hit was the greatest.

"Holea! Pull Holea back from that demon, he is very dangerous." Mrs. Qiao said in panic.

Qiao Li nodded and hurriedly pulled Yu Holea behind her.

Even though she was scared she remained standing in front of her, like a wall of protection.

Yu Holea who was suddenly put behind looked at Qiao Li in surprise.

"Hole...Holea...st..a..y...sta...stay...be...behind...behind...m-e...me" Qiao Li said with difficulty.

It was evident that even though she was scared, she still wanted to protect Yu Holea.

Qiao Heng suddenly walked and put Yu Holea and Qiao Li behind him. Mrs. Qiao, Cai Bao, and Qiao Zixin created a wall around Yu Holea, Qiao Li, Qiao Zirui, and Kris.

Their protective stance made Yu Holea smile.

"Do you all take me for an ant? Do you think that by merely standing in front of me, you will be able to protect those three? Haha..." The demon laughed.

His laughter was like a horror tune in the ears of the Qiao Family, their face turned pale.

With a flick of its clawed hand, the demon conjured dark tendrils of energy, snaking toward Qiao Heng with menacing intent.

However, before his tendril could even reach Qiao Heng, Yu Holea used a ray of her mystic energy and said,

"Last warning don’t attack anyone present over here."
