Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 134: Wrong
Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Wrong
Duan Tao was one of the guys who backed out at the last moment, he was the person who said to them that they should visit the graveyard.
Zhou Susu heard Xia Meng’s comment and instantly said with a timid expression,
"Young Master Xia you are right, I keep on feeling as if someone is pushing me...Ah !"
Then Zhou Susu suddenly fell toward Xia Meng.
Xia Meng tried to dodge her but it was too late and Xia Meng and Zhou Susu fell to the ground.
When they fell, Xia Meng’s purse came out of his pocket and a photo of his group came out of it.
But since Xia Meng was busy pushing Zhou Susu away, he didn’t notice it at all.
Xia Meng hurriedly pushed away Zhou Susu and said in a disgusted tone,
"Don’t you dare to use your dirty white lotus trick on me ever again."
Xia Meng was a hot-tempered guy and on top of it, he was intelligent.
He understood Zhou Susu’s intention, after all, he has met many girls like Zhou Susu, who likes his status.
Zhou Susu pouted and said with teary eyes,
"No, I wasn’t..."
However before she could justify herself, Zhang Meilin started laughing at her,
"Susu how can you be so careless! You are so dumb!"
Zhou Susu gritted her teeth in anger but since Zhang Meilin was recording the video, she tried to maintain her composure.
Jiang Lei and the others couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene.
It was no secret that Zhou Susu wanted to marry into a rich family and hence she always try to ’accidentally’ fall on others.
Li Chong felt embarrassed and went forward to help Zhou Susu up he couldn’t help but scold her,
"Susu what are you doing? Why are you acting like this suddenly?"
Zhou Susu pouted and said in a low voice,
"I swear someone pushed, I..."
However before she could finish, Li Chong interrupted her and said,
"Okay! Okay, stop explaining yourself."
Then he helped Zhou Susu up.
Zhou Kun on the other tried to lighten up the environment and said,
"Ok! Let’s go ahead and explore the graveyard!"
"Yes!"
As they explored further, the fog seemed to thicken, making it difficult to see more than a few feet ahead.
The air grew colder, and an unsettling silence hung over the graveyard.
Suddenly, they heard a distant sound, like faint whispers carried by the wind.
Jiang Lei’s heart skipped a beat as he strained to hear more. It was as if the graveyard itself was whispering secrets of the past.
"Did you guys hear that?" Jiang Lei asked, his voice hushed.
The others fell silent, and for a moment, they all listened intently.
Sure enough, the eerie whispers grew louder, but they were still indecipherable.
For a moment all of them were frightened and struck with each other.
Xia Meng looked around and said with an annoyed look,
"It’s probably just stray dogs or some other animals. Let’s not get scared by silly noises."
Zhang Meilin’s eyes flashed and she said in a casual tone,
"Yeah, it’s just animals. Nothing to be afraid of."
Everyone nodded feeling Zhang Meilin and Xia Meng were right.
"So! Now we will look at the gravestone. So here is a gravestone of some guy named Lily. Lily? What a strange name?"
As a Chinese, Lily was indeed a little foreign name for her.
Then Ling Na looked at the tombstone with a surprised expression and said in a dazed tone,
"Lily, she was the daughter of this graveyard’s groundskeeper. It was rumored that the last human who visited this graveyard was Lily."
"Huh? What do you mean by last? And why are you sounding so mysterious?" Li Chong couldn’t help but ask.
Ling Na frowned and said,
"This graveyard has a history of its own. Do you know that this graveyard is called Cursed Shadow Graveyard because it is a cursed place? Whoever enters this place is cursed to the point where their shadow doesn’t remain with them at the time of their death."
"What nonsense!" Xia Meng said in a mocking tone.
He doesn’t believe in this whatsoever curse.
Zhang Meilin interrupted Xia Meng and said,
"Ling Na is a student of famous historian not only that she also studies Parapsychology. She also belongs to a prestigious college that has been acknowledged for their research team."
(Author: Parapsychology is the study of alleged psychic phenomena and other paranormal claims)
Xia Meng was a little stunned hearing this but then he nodded.
Ling Na on the other hand continued,
"I know the story of this place because my teacher used to stay here. When he was little this place was a normal cemetery but one night everything changed and from being a normal cemetery this place turned into a cursed place."
Li Chong was a little fearful and excited hearing this story and asked,
"Oh? So how did it change overnight?"
"Bloodbath. On the night of the cursed transformation, there was a terrible bloodbath," Ling Na continued, her voice low and mysterious.
"The groundskeeper, Lily’s father, was performing his nightly duties when a group of intruders invaded the graveyard.
These intruders sought the hidden treasures rumored to be buried within the graveyard.
Greed had consumed them, and they were willing to go to any lengths to find the riches they believed were buried beneath the tombstones."
Xia Meng found this like the story of a typical horror movie and couldn’t help but stop her and say,
"Wait! Your story has too many loopholes. Intruders who are behind treasure, this is just ridiculous!"
Ling Na hesitated as if she was hiding some details but she finally decided to hide and said,
"This the story I have heard of, if you don’t want to listen, it’s up to you!"
As Ling Na spoke, the fog around them seemed to grow denser, wrapping the group in an eerie embrace.
However, so far no one noticed it.
Xia Meng rolled his eyes, feeling like Ling Na was just trying to spook them with a made-up tale.
"Fine, go on with your spooky story. I’ll just treat it as entertainment," he said dismissively.
Ling Na continued, undeterred by Xia Meng’s skepticism.
"As I was saying, these intruders were ruthless and showed no mercy. They attacked the groundskeeper, who tried to protect the graveyard from their greed. Even though there were many people present on that day, no one stepped forward to save the groundskeeper."
Li Chong said in a tone filled with anger,
"How infuriating!"
Ling Na continued,
"That groundskeeper was very good to everyone. There were times that many people weren’t able to pay fees for burial, at that time he would waive their debts or pay from his wallet but when he was getting murdered no one stepped forward to help him."
"What about his daughter?" Li Chong asked.
Ling Na said,
"She and her brother tried to stop those intruders but failed. When the groundskeeper saw that they were going to be killed too, he asked them to run away. By some means both the sister and brother ran away but their heart was filled with vengeance."
Jiang Lei heard this story and couldn’t help but feel that the story wasn’t as simple as it looks.
"Then did the intruders find the treasure?"
"No. Even after digging up every tombstone, they didn’t get anything in the end. Not only they disturbed many sleeping spirits they also provoked some spirits they shouldn’t have."
Jiang Lei asked,
"What about the curse? How did this place got cursed?"
"Ouija board." Ling Na replied in a serious voice
"Ouija board? Now from where does that come from?"
"Those group of intruders didn’t find anything in the end so they decided to communicate with the spirit and know about the treasure."
"What a dumb way!" Xia Meng muttered.
"Indeed it was dumb but the most straight way for them to get an answer to their question. It was a pity though that they didn’t know the rules to play Ouija board."
"What rules?" Li Chong asked.
"Ouija board has 4 rules that you must follow. First, you can’t play Ouija Board in a burial ground or cemetery."
"Oh! They broke the first one!" Li Chong exclaimed.
"Yes. Second, you can’t play it alone. Third, you can’t leave each other’s hand, and fourth you can’t get up without saying ’goodbye’ or asking for permission to leave."
Jiang Lei who was listening to this story suddenly asked,
"Did they break all the rules?"
"No just three out of four! Except for 2nd, they broke all others. And hence this cemetery became cursed. Lily who was the daughter of the groundskeeper came back to retrieve his father’s dead body but wasn’t seen from that day onwards."
"Wrong!" A voice sounded and everyone was so scared they almost peed their pants.
Turning around they saw a beautiful and charming girl with pale skin.
