"Connor, if you dare to harm Aida in any way, I will never let you off!" Albert exclaimed anxiously upon hearing Connor's words.

"Didn't you say something similar when I broke into the secret room of your Collier family? Even if I hadn't kidnapped Miss Aida, you probably wouldn't let me go. So, your threats don't work on me," Connor replied calmly.

Albert looked momentarily stunned, then asked in a low voice, "Just state your conditions; I don't have the patience for this."

"Alright, since you're so eager, I won't waste any more time. I recently acquired a piece of land in Yarlford, and what I lack now is funds. So, as long as you give me the money, I can release Aida!" Connor knew that asking for anything else from Albert was futile. His main goal was to help her clear her name, and asking for money was the simplest method.

"Money..." Albert sneered and then asked, "How much do you want?"

"How much do you think your daughter is worth?" he countered.

Albert hesitated for a moment and then said, "Let's say I give you two billion, and you release my daughter."

"Hahaha..." Connor burst into laughter upon hearing his offer and then said with a low voice, "Mr. Albert, you're quite stingy. From what I know, the value Aida brings to your family every year is far greater than that. You're trying to trick me with just two billion? Do you think I've never seen money before?"

"Then how much do you want?" Albert asked impatiently.

Connor hesitated for a moment and then said casually, "Multiply the price you mentioned by twenty, and when the money is in my account, I'll release Miss Aida immediately."

"Forty billion? Are you out of your mind?" Shereen exclaimed upon hearing Connor's words.

"Connor, do you think we're all fools?" Colie joined in.

Clearly, Shereen and Colie had not come here to rescue Aida; they were doing everything they could to sabotage the deal and possibly even have Connor kill her.

"That amount is too much, and we can't produce that kind of money," she said agitatedly.

"Exactly, Dad, this Connor is just being outrageous. You must not fall for it!" Colie added.

"Both of you, be quiet!" Albert shouted, then looked at Connor and asked in a low voice, "Twenty billion, will you accept my offer?"

Connor realized that the time for his act was almost over. If he pushed Albert too far and he refused to pay, Connor would be in trouble. So, he said, "When will the money be transferred?"

"It will definitely be transferred before midnight tonight!" Albert said firmly.

"Alright, since Mr. Albert is showing sincerity, I'll wait for your good news!" He smiled and left the VIP suite.

After Connor left, Colie and Shereen wore extremely displeased expressions, while Albert took out his phone and started making a call.

"Albert, I have some other matters to attend to; I'll leave first," Shereen said hesitantly.

"Alright," Albert didn't inquire further, thinking that she might be unhappy with the large sum he had agreed to pay, and she left the suite.

Meanwhile, Connor got into his car and was about to leave when he noticed someone opening the car door. It was Shereen, Colie's mother, who had gotten into his car.

"What are you doing?" Connor frowned and asked Shereen.

"Don't speak, just keep driving forward. Find a place where no one is around; I need to talk to you," she said softly.

"You got into my car so openly. Aren't you afraid of being seen by Albert?" He started the car and asked with a smile.

"He's busy trying to gather the money right now and doesn't have the time to keep an eye on these things," she replied.

"Heh..." He chuckled, then drove to a tea house a few minutes away.

Inside the tea house, Connor and Shereen entered a private room. After entering, Connor poured himself a cup of tea, downed it in one gulp, and then looked at Shereen, asking, "Haven't we finished discussing Aida's situation? What do you want to talk to me about now?"
