Chapter 1767: Can't Hold It In Anymore
"Hahaha..."
Connor suddenly chuckled and whispered, "I was just joking with you. Those things I said earlier were just random words, I didn't expect you to actually believe them..."
"You!" Aida couldn't believe that at this moment, Connor would still be in the mood to play around. Her eyes were filled with anger.
"Don't be mad, I saw you were so nervous just now, so I wanted you to relax a bit..." He chuckled and said.
"Do you think it's fun to make such jokes right now?" she asked coldly.
"Flight attendant!" Connor was about to say something, but the middle-aged man with glasses suddenly called out.
"Sir, is there something you need?" The flight attendant hurriedly walked over to the middle-aged man, smiling.
"I need a glass of water!" the man replied.
"Of course, please wait a moment!" The flight attendant agreed and then turned away.
Moments later, she handed a glass of water to the middle-aged man.
Connor had been observing this person all along. When the man extended his right hand, his suspicions were confirmed.
Because the plane was a bit turbulent, the water in the glass was shaking continuously. However, as soon as the man held the glass, the water immediately stopped moving.
This might have been a natural action for a man, but it exposed that he was not an ordinary person at all.
If this man was not an assassin but rather a martial artist, he had no reason to hide his aura continuously. Since he was concealing his aura, it meant he was hiding something.
Although he was quite confident in this assessment, he didn't tell Aida. He was worried that her excessive nervousness would disrupt their judgment.
As he was pondering these issues, she suddenly stood up.
He quickly reached out and pulled her back into her seat, furrowing his brows, "Have you gone mad? Why are you standing up now?"
She turned to look at him without saying a word.
"I'm asking you a question. What are you doing standing up? Sit down!" He scolded as he pushed Aida back into her seat.
"What are you doing? I just want to go to the restroom. Is this how you're going to react?" she asked, frustrated.
"To the restroom?" Connor's expression seemed somewhat exasperated upon hearing Aida's words. He whispered, "There's someone on this plane trying to kill you. They're probably struggling to find an opportunity to act. If you go to the restroom right now, you're practically handing them a chance."
"I needed to use the restroom even before we boarded. But you kept stopping me, and now... I just really need to go!" Her face turned red as she explained.
He looked at her for a moment, at a loss for words. He was starting to regret not letting her go to the restroom at the airport. At least it would have been safer back then.
"Can't you hold it for a little longer? We'll be able to get off the plane in two hours!" he said to her.
"Hold it?!" She was utterly speechless upon hearing his words. She lowered her voice and said, "You're really being unsympathetic. How can I hold it in a situation like this?"
"It's just going to the restroom, what's the big deal? Hold on for a bit, and it'll pass..." he said nonchalantly.
"I can't. I really need to go now..." Aida looked at Connor and said.
"You can't hold it in?"
He glanced at her, speaking quite directly.
"You..."
She was at loss for words.
"Could it be a health issue?" he continued to ask.
"What health issue? I just need to use the restroom. Do you or do you not want to come with me?" she asked in desperation.
"Fine, considering you can't hold it in, I'll accompany you." He reluctantly nodded and stood up, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
"What are you doing?" She was momentarily stunned, looking at him with a puzzled expression.
"If we're going to the restroom, we have to pass by that man's seat. The aisle is narrow, whether you walk in front or I do, he'll have an opportunity to attack you. The best option is for us to walk side by side. I need to have my arm around you to ensure we can pass without any issues. Got it?" he explained helplessly.
Aida turned to look at Connor, her expression seeming somewhat peculiar.
However, considering they had already spent last night together, this wasn't a big deal for her. Thus, she didn't continue the conversation.
As they passed by the man's seat, Connor was extremely tense. He was closely observing the man's reactions. If the man made any sudden movements, he was ready to react immediately.
Aida seemed to sense his nervousness and did her best to cooperate, striving not to be a burden.
But soon he realized he might have overthought it. The man wasn't paying any attention to them at all; he remained quietly sipping his water, his expression very calm.
