Chapter 1605: Sneaking into the Villa

Rachel looked at Connor and couldn't help but ponder.

She felt that what Connor had said made sense. After all, if both she and Connor were caught by the Collier family, no one would be able to save them.

If she left now, knowing that he was captured, she could immediately use her family's connections to rescue him.

"Alright, then I'll leave first."

Rachel nodded lightly and handed over the pistol she had prepared beforehand to Connor.

It was a specially customized pistol, compact and easy to carry.

"Although this pistol is small, its power is immense. Even Black-rank martial artists wouldn't be able to withstand its force. Unfortunately, the bullets are limited, so use them sparingly," she whispered to him.

"Sure, I understand. Don't worry!"

He took the pistol and discreetly concealed it within his clothing.

After a brief hesitation, she pushed open the car door and stepped out.

Meanwhile, Connor took out a Chi Receiving Pill and swallowed it.

Knowing that Collier family's mansion was filled with skilled individuals, he realized that if he were to be exposed, he might not even get a chance to use a Chi Receiving Pill. Therefore, he preemptively consumed one.

At 8 PM.

Connor sent a text message to Rachel using his phone.

Soon, she replied to him, informing him that Collier family's security system had been compromised.

Now, the security system at Collier family's mansion was under the control of the hackers. The guards watching the surveillance wouldn't notice anything unusual, but the footage was actually from the previous night. Thus, even if he stood right in front of the cameras, the guards wouldn't see him.

Unless there were extremely attentive guards, it would be difficult for them to detect anything amiss.

He took a deep breath and then scaled the wall to enter Collier family's estate.

Once inside, he briefly observed the surroundings.

It had to be admitted that Collier family's mansion was indeed lavish, with numerous villas. Connor's target was the central three-story villa; the other villas were likely occupied by Collier family's branches.

Unlike the Wallace family, Collier family exhibited stronger cohesion. Almost all members of Collier family lived in this mansion.

The central three-story villa was where Albert resided.

There weren't many guards within the courtyard, and with the surveillance under the hackers' control, the patrolling guards would have a hard time spotting Connor.

Connor quietly approached Albert's villa.

After a while, he arrived at the rear of the targeted villa.

There were two guards at the front entrance, and they had been stationed there. It was nearly impossible for Connor to slip past them, so he circled around the villa.

Connor was fortunate; he found a window that was open.

Though the window was on the second floor, thanks to the Chi Receiving Pill, he had no trouble with the height.

Stepping back a couple of paces, he sprinted forward and leaped onto the villa's wall. He gripped the window sill and vaulted inside.

Upon entering, he realized he was in a room.

The room's decoration exuded warmth, with almost everything in shades of pink—pink curtains, pink bedsheets, even the pajamas lying on the bed were pink.

Wary that the room might be occupied, he hid behind the curtains upon entering.

After observing for a few minutes, he noticed that the room's owner wasn't present. Emerging from behind the curtain, he cast a cursory glance around the room. This room seemed to belong to a young woman; a picture frame rested on the bedside table.

The photograph depicted an exceptionally beautiful girl. While she appeared quite young, around ten years old, one could discern that she would grow up into a breathtaking beauty.

However, Connor had no time to be concerned with these details. He continued onward.

Fortune seemed to favor him that day. If the window hadn't been open, or if someone had been in the room, he would likely have been discovered long ago.

Aware that he was on the second floor, whereas the secret room was located on the negative third floor, Connor moved toward the stairs.

However, before he reached the stairs, a guard noticed him.

"Stop!"

Since there were no guests in the villa that day, and Connor wasn't dressed in security attire, he looked suspicious. The guard immediately shouted at him.

He halted upon hearing the guard's words.

The guard approached, scrutinizing Connor from head to toe, and asked in a low voice, "Who are you? You're probably not a guest of Mr. Collier, right? What are you doing here?"

"Who says I'm not a guest?"

Connor retorted.

"Just wait here. I'll verify your status!"

As this was Albert's residence, where his wife and child lived as well, visitors were not uncommon.

Seeing his confident tone, the guard became uncertain if Connor was indeed a guest. He was about to use his walkie-talkie to confirm whether there were any guests entering when Connor abruptly moved forward and punched the guard in the head.

Connor's punch was powerful, and the guard, being a Yellow-ranked martial artist, was unable to withstand it.

The guard lost consciousness, and Connor caught him, dragging him into the pink room he had entered earlier.

Inside the room, he bound the guard's hands and feet with his clothes, gagged him, and stashed him in the wardrobe.

After dealing with the guard, he left the room once again.

However, as he emerged, he noticed that there were several guards patrolling the first floor. If he continued down this path, he would surely be spotted.

Yet, Connor also realized that all the guards were dressed the same.

He returned to the room and took off the clothes of the unconscious guard he had knocked out earlier. Connor put on the guard's uniform and took the guard's walkie-talkie and a dagger.
