Getting $10 Trillion Out Of Nowhere

Chapter 1604: Making a Plan

"If I were to find this secret room, how could I get inside?" Connor looked at Kingston and asked.

"I'm not quite sure about that, as I've never seen this secret room and I've never been inside!" Kingston shook his head and replied.

Upon hearing his words, Connor's expression seemed somewhat helpless.

Firstly, finding the secret room was incredibly difficult for Connor. Even if he managed to locate it, entering the room would likely require a password, fingerprint, or even a more advanced form of biometric authentication like iris scanning.

These were all the challenges he needed to get through.

"Connor, maybe we should give up on this. It's highly unlikely that you'll be able to access the secret room in Collier family's mansion. We can find another way to obtain the hard drive!" Rachel hesitated for a moment before softly addressing Connor.

"I think Miss Qin is right. Trying to forcefully enter the secret room in Collier family's mansion is almost impossible, Mr. Connor. We can find other methods to retrieve the hard drive!" Kingston also added.

He wasn't intentionally discouraging Connor, but rather he knew well the intricacies of Collier family's security system due to his past work there. Thus, he believed that Connor's chances of successfully entering the secret room might be less than one percent.

"I've already come to York, so you should at least let me try. If I can't get in, we can think of another plan later!" Connor replied calmly to Rachel.

"Then I'll go with you. I'm worried you might encounter danger," she hesitated, looking at him.

"You can't come with me. The two of us together would attract too much attention and increase the risk of being discovered!" Connor shook his head directly, then turned to Kingston, saying, "Mr. Kingston, thank you for providing me with this information!"

"No problem. If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way!" Kingston felt that Connor was a bit too audacious, so he wanted to take this opportunity to leave.

"Alright!"

Connor nodded at Kingston's departure.

After Kingston left, Rachel asked Connor with a hint of resignation, "Connor, are you really planning to go to Collier family?"

"Either way, you should let me give it a shot, right?" he replied with a cheerful smile.

"Well, what's your plan then?" she inquired.

"Do you know any hackers?" Connor looked at Rachel and asked.

"I should be able to find some for you!" she replied.

"That's good!"

He nodded, then continued, "Help me find a few reliable hackers. Try to get them to breach Collier family's mansion security system as soon as possible. If they can disable the surveillance, I can get inside the mansion. Once inside, I'll figure out how to locate the secret room!"

"But the mansion has many guards. Can you really find the secret room?" She furrowed her brows and asked.

"I don't know either. We can only try," he said in a low voice.

"Besides hacking the security system, what else can I do?" She hesitated for a moment before looking at him.

"After hacking the security system, find a car. It can't be a car from your Wallace family, as I'm worried about exposing your identity. Park the car outside Collier family's estate. If things seem wrong or if I'm discovered, I'll rush out of the mansion, and you'll be responsible for picking me up!"

After thinking for a moment, Connor added, "Also, for safety, you should carry a gun. Both of us are martial artists, but I'm concerned the other side might have firearms. It's better for us to have some self-defense as well!"

"Leave all of this to me. I should be able to handle it!" Rachel said firmly.

After meeting with Kingston, they discussed and finalized their basic plan. Rachel would handle the security system and act as the getaway driver, while Connor would infiltrate Collier family's estate alone.

Her efficiency was as impressive as ever. After returning to her family, she made a few calls and quickly arranged for the hackers to deal with Collier family's security system.

"I reached out to my contacts in the U.S., and they helped me find a few renowned hackers. They say they can crack Collier family's mansion security system within a day, but they can only disable the surveillance for an hour. So, you must leave the mansion within that time!" she said.

"One hour should be enough!" he replied nonchalantly.

"However, these hackers charge a high price—50 million dollars. Is that okay for you?" Rachel continued.

"50 dollars?"

Upon hearing her words, his expression turned incredulous. He then muttered, "These hackers are incredibly demanding. They're acting as if money falls from the sky!"

"Alright, don't pretend. I know this amount means almost nothing to you. Collier family's security system isn't something just anyone can break. 50 million is actually quite a reasonable price for me. If it were someone else, the starting price would likely be at least a billion!" Rachel said with a hint of helplessness.

"That's really over the top..."

Connor grumbled under his breath, then continued, "I'll have Thomas transfer the money to you later."

"When do you plan to take action?"

Rachel asked in a hushed tone.

"I'll move once the hackers breach Collier family's security system. This is the kind of thing that can't be delayed—too many potential complications if we wait," Connor answered after a moment of thought.

"Alright."

With a somewhat resigned nod, Rachel turned and left Connor's room.

...

After Rachel wired the money to the hackers, they quickly delivered. In just half a day, they managed to crack Collier family's security system.

Knowing that the security system was breached, Connor didn't waste any time. He drove with Rachel to the vicinity of Collier family's mansion.

Driving around the mansion's vicinity, he noticed a forest behind Collier family's estate, an ideal spot for escape. He parked the car at the forest entrance and whispered to her, "You should go back. Leaving you here might make you easy to spot. If both of us get caught, things will get even more complicated. It's better if you leave first!"

"Do you really not want me to wait here for you to come out?"

She hesitated for a moment before whispering to him.

"No need. If you wait here, you might easily be discovered by Collier family's people. If both of us get caught, it would be worse. It's better for you to leave now!" he whispered back.
