"But I can't release that woman now!"

Jenna bit her lip and said.

"Why can't you release her?"

Samuel was taken aback, his expression puzzled.

"Kidnapping that girl was a decision from the higher-ups at Rockefeller. We were just following orders. If I release her without authorization, I'd be betraying Rockefeller. Our Lester family might even face extermination!"

Jenna exclaimed emotionally.

"Sigh..."

Samuel sighed and furrowed his brows upon hearing this. He then spoke in a resigned tone, "Actually, I didn't agree with you joining Rockefeller back then, but you were already the head of our Lester family. Samuel sighed softly and began walking toward the door.

"Connor, the person you're looking for isn't here. You better leave quickly, or don't blame me for being rude!"

Jenna glared at Connor with her watery eyes.

"If the person I'm looking for isn't here, then why did you run? Besides, Palmer has already given up resistance. I don't think he'd lie to me. He told me the woman is at our Bander family. So, why did you run?" Connor replied with a faint smile.

Samuel sized up Connor and said calmly, "Young man, Youling didn't lie to you. The person you're looking for is indeed not here at our Lester family. It's best if you leave now."

After casting a glance at Samuel, Connor replied expressionlessly, "I'm not in the mood to waste time with you all. As long as you hand over Yelena, I'll let everything that happened before slide. But if you're not planning to cooperate, then I'll have to resort to some other methods."

"Our Lester family is not a place where you can cause a scene. Let me warn you one last time. If you don't leave, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Samuel warned Connor in a low voice.

"Being impolite? What difference does that make?"
