"Why are the mutant ants running away?"

Fist Kong voiced out to a guy in red headgear and armed with a crossbow, the two allies’ backs were against each other, this way, they could expand their attack range and also increase each other defense.

The two breathed heavily for some moment and broke their battle formation, turning back to look at the rogue ants that were behaving bizarrely.

Having fought for some while, it was only a matter of time until their energy depleted, the same could even be said of the others.

When facing overwhelming opponents, stamina plays a crucial role.

Fist Kong had acted as a tank for the second youth, and the latter was well proficient in long ranged attack, firing the crossbow with great accuracy while Fist Kong tanked any damage coming from his blind spots, the latter had awakened an ability that enabled him to be immune to negative status effects he received for three times, and that was if he survive the effect.

Having gotten stung three times, he had grown immune to the poison.

With this, the two were able to defeat quite many beasts.

Fiora grinned devilishly, with her speed, she should be able to defeat these monsters, at that moment when one had sneaked into her back, it was all thanks to Ming that she was able to survive, if not, she would have struggled to fight on the battlefield just like others.

Even though she was fast and had quick reaction speed, there was no way she could dodge so many stealth foes coming from all directions.

However, using all her reflex speed, she twisted away just in time, or else, she would have been stung.

But was she able to truly dodge?

She knew she used all her power to dodge but those monsters, they were like three, three terrifying presence immediately appeared in her blindspot.

Each of the three beings exuded a unique and menacing energy, their intentions unmistakably sinister. The chilling sounds of their movements echoed in the eerie silence that surrounded her, amplifying her anxiety and heightening her awareness of the imminent danger.

That was enough to shock her and make her lose concentration in monitoring their moves, but she couldn’t get defeated here.

Not when her career as an awakened star had just started.

She yelled as she twisted with all her reflex power, her slim body turning in the air while three presence immediately came out from the shadows and collided with each other.

"Where they disoriented?"

"Their stealthy move was perfect but.... I managed to escape?"

Fiora landed and slid back some distance, and just as she stopped, she was some meters from Fist Kong and the other ally.

She immediately composed herself like a refined sword woman and then she noticed the baffled expression of the two allies.

Fist Kong and the other young man started to wonder if the area boss had called the beasts back but what they noticed was that these ants were actually joining forces and were approaching a target.

And that target was Marcus.

"Hey hey hey, wait a minute, isn’t that Marcus? The rankless one that came late"

The second youth asked with widened eyes, he was awestruck at what he was seeing.

And not only him but every other member, after all, the ants had already left each member and were gathering forces.

Fiora glanced at her opponents, they weren’t approaching her but had changed direction, have they been disoriented when they wanted to ambush her?

That was why she was able to barely escape.

"And they seemed angry, even I can feel their boiling rage from here"

Fiora’s expression wrinkled in utter dismay, there was no way the ants would only want to kill an individual right?

Another thing that made her heart start thumping was seeing Ming there, even with Ming, there was no way they could both defeat all that swarm of rant right?

A thought wandered into her mind, and that was ’We have to help them’

But, this very swarm had closed the distance between it and the two youths, in short, there was no way they could save them.

If only they have been more alert and have grasped the situation earlier.

"Nooo, Young Zhao, don’t die on me!!!"

The bully leader roared and dashed forward with his speed, but before he could close the distance, this swarm was already on the verge of pouncing on the two youths.

Their maw opened widely while dripping with disgusting saliva and with eyes shining bright red from malevolence, the rogue ants pounced on Marcus in great fury.

"In terms of speed and agility, I can’t lose to the like of you!"

Marcus roared and pounced on these beasts, moving through their attack seamlessly as if he could foresee all of their next movement.

"They look so sluggish"

Marcus pierced through the eye of one while using his other dagger to slice one into equal halves.

He was now more like the predator.

Nope, if the beasts were predators, then Marcus was like a hyperpredator on a killing spree.

The colorless fluid that signifies these beasts’ blood flowed mercilessly.

This scene was unbelievable, leaving the other members utterly shocked with their mouths opened widely as if their jaw muscles had slacked.

The rankless awakened? The one that was supposed to fill the headcount? Who the hell was this guy?

This was the question that hung over the mind of the member.

Fiora used her hand to wipe down his widened eyes, no doubt, she knew she was the one who underestimated this guy the most, after all, he was rankless.

Even when she saw that he had killed a young fire ant, she thought it was a fluke.

After all, she hadn’t seen him fight.

But now...

It was as if she was witnessing a higher-ranking awakened battle, the way this guy moved, it was like he could see every movement of these ants.

It was a one-sided massacre.
