Chapter 590: 323 Dharma Form_2

Fang Zhixing’s eyebrows furrowed slightly as he heard the ram speak human language, "Great Black Buddha Mother has met the Fellow Daoist."

Fang Zhixing couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows in surprise and spoke faintly, "How can you prove that you are the Great Black Buddha Mother?"

The ram’s belly rapidly swelled as if being inflated, growing bigger and bigger.

Boom~

The belly expanded to its limit and burst open.

A little girl emerged from the ruptured stomach, her body wet and covered in a layer of mucus, with a pungent smell.

The little girl slowly crawled up.

She stood up on her left leg, and her body abruptly grew taller.

She then stood up on her right leg, and her chest began to bulge.

When she raised her head, the torso of a mature woman came into view.

The woman’s skin was fair, her appearance extremely beautiful, and she possessed a voluptuous, enchanting beauty that was both sensual and seductive, enough to take one’s breath away, almost deadly enticing.

The only discordant note was the pair of sheep horns growing on her forehead.

The woman opened her eyelids, revealing pitch-black eyes, like ink, reflecting scattered crow-colored light.

The blackness in her eyes seemed to be as impenetrable as the night, slowly spreading out and diffusing through her entire body.

Before long, the woman’s whole skin was dyed black, but not the black of an African descent, instead an indescribable black with a lustrous sheen of five-colored iridescence, radiating a strange and bewitching beauty.

Such a scene...

Fang Zhixing’s breathing paused, his astonishment growing.

Intuition told him that the woman in front of him was not the true form of the Great Black Buddha Mother.

The Great Black Buddha Mother slightly spread her legs and curled up the corners of her mouth with a charming smile, asking, "Do you believe now that I am the Great Black Buddha Mother?"

Fang Zhixing responded, "What brings the Great Black Buddha Mother to visit in the dead of night?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother replied, "Might I inquire if Fellow Daoist is An Baopu from the Five Elements Sect, and if the other three staying in the inn are from the Taiyi Sect?"

Fang Zhixing’s eyes narrowed slightly as he pondered, "So what if I am?"

"It really is you..."

The Great Black Buddha Mother let out a soft sigh and continued slowly, "I had received news early on that the Five Elements Sect had sent you to attend the Buddhist event, and you would likely pass through my sphere of influence upon your arrival in Qian State. Therefore, I naturally kept an eye on you."

Fang Zhixing said indifferently, "Why should you concern yourself with me, a stranger?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother chuckled, "You and those three from the Taiyi Sect are representatives of the Taoism, and while traveling abroad, many Evil Gods and Demon Cultivators would like to take this opportunity to kill you to vent their frustration."

Fang Zhixing was at a loss for words.

The Great Black Buddha Mother elaborated carefully, "In places like Dai State and Chu State, various Evil Gods and Demon Cultivators are itching to make a big move.

They have long been oppressed by the Taoism and could not rise above it, harboring resentment and a desire for revenge.

Hearing that you were setting out on a long journey, away from the sphere of influence of the Taoism, to Qian State,

they contacted the expert Demon Cultivators within the borders of Qian State, intending to join forces and take you down."

Fang Zhixing’s expression turned grave as he asked earnestly, "Who are they?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother replied, "Black Wing Venerable, the Sorcerer of Hundred Ghosts, Shadow Sect Hierarch, Immortal Demon Phoenix, White Bone King!

These five are the ringleaders, and there are countless other Evil Gods and Demon Cultivators."

Listening, Fang Zhixing inquired, "Isn’t there any Demon Buddha from Qian State involved?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother continued, "Aside from me, there are the Hundred-Armed Heavenly Buddha, White Lotus Bodhisattva, Wrathful Lion King Buddha, Precepts Blade Arhat, and others."

It was quite a luxurious lineup!

It nearly disturbed the entire nest of Demon Buddhas in Qian State.

Fang Zhixing pursed his lips and said with his hands behind his back, "Why are you betraying them?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother smiled, "I feel they won’t succeed, and I don’t want to join them in such meaningless endeavors.

Besides, Taoism and Buddhism have always been at odds. The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Fang Zhixing chuckled, "You hold them in such low regard?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother continued, "The Buddhist isn’t vegetarian; any significant movement from the Demon Buddhas will surely alarm the Buddhist factions.

A touch on a single thread affects the whole situation!

How could the mighty Buddhist factions sit idly by and watch their invited guests die on their own territory?"

Fang Zhixing’s lips curled up as he nodded, "Thanks for the warning. What do you want in return?"

The Great Black Buddha Mother chuckled, "This little warning is trivial; I seek no reward. I simply wish to express my goodwill, for perhaps in the not-too-distant future, there is a possibility for us to cooperate."

Fang Zhixing’s mind stirred, deep in thought.

"I’ve taken enough of your time, I shall take my leave now."

Having said that, the Great Black Buddha Mother’s body suddenly deflated, like a burst balloon.

In the blink of an eye, only a withered black skin lay on the ground.

The night wind blew, and the black skin scattered with the wind.

The dark clouds also dispersed.

Moonlight spilled down, and the stars twinkled.

Fang Zhixing turned and headed back to the inn, and when he reached the door of his room, the trio from Lian Quan were waiting for him.

Xigou, yawning, crouched to one side.

"Envoy An, that guy was the Great Black Buddha Mother, right?"

Lian Quan asked with a vigilant expression.

Fang Zhixing nodded and summarized the content of the discussion, focusing on the main points.

"Oh, an Evil God Demon Cultivator wants to ambush us?" Lian Sheng said, slapping his fan lightly, an intrigued expression on his face.

Lian Yue’s eyes shone as she coldly said, "Good, it’s hard to find them when you want to."

Lian Quan, however, spoke cautiously, "The enemy has come prepared, and we are in foreign territory without reliable backup, we must not act impulsively!"

It seemed she didn’t place much trust in her fellow Buddhist practitioners, despite her own Buddhist cultivation.

All three turned to Fang Zhixing and said in unison, "Of course, we will follow Envoy An’s arrangements."

Fang Zhixing smiled and said, "I don’t have any good ideas either, just deal with whatever comes, I suppose."

The night quickly passed.

The next morning, the group once again took to the skies on Bai He.

As they flew...

A large clump of dark clouds appeared ahead.

Thunder rumbled...

Dark clouds overshadowed them, with flashes of lightning and peals of thunder.

The weather was not in their favor, as a torrential downpour began.

Bai He dived headfirst into the curtain of rain, flying despite the weather.

"By the mandate of the heavens, let the raindrops scatter."

With a wave of his fan, Lian Sheng’s command followed the law.

In an instant, the falling raindrops seemed to gain eyes of their own, twisting and turning, perfectly avoiding them.

Bai He raced through the heavy rain.

But before long, the dark clouds above roiled violently and transformed into a colossal human face.

The face moved restlessly, suddenly fixed its gaze on Bai He, opened its mouth wide, and swallowed them.

Bai He, shocked, dodged frantically to the left and right.

"Stay calm!"

Lian Quan commanded, her sonorous chants brought an inexplicable calm to the mind.

Bai He quickly steadied itself.

Lian Sheng folded his fan and looked up at the huge face, saying indifferently, "By the mandate of the heavens, disperse the dark clouds!"

No sooner had he spoken,

It was as if an invisible force had been unleashed, smashing into the colossal face.

A muffled grunt was heard as a hole appeared on the forehead of the face, blurring and dispersing.

Lian Yue’s face grew frosty as she called out, "Show yourself, demon!"

From within the clouds, a voice emerged, "You little wretches from Taiyi Sect, I am the Hierarch of the Rain Summoning Sect."

"Oh, so it’s you!"

Realizing who it was, Lian Yue scoffed, "You established the ’Rain Summoning Sect,’ creating droughts everywhere to deceive and exploit the common folk, until my Taiyi Sect destroyed it.

Rain Summoning Hierarch, you should have hidden and repented, yet you dare to ambush us, you’re seeking your own death!"

"Bullshit!"

The Rain Summoning Hierarch roared, "Only Taiyi Sect is allowed to harvest the commoners’ fortunes, while small sects and Loose Cultivators like us aren’t allowed even a sip of the soup?

You little wretch, don’t be arrogant, today is the day you die!"

"Well said!"

Suddenly, a black speck approached from the distance, growing larger and filled with mocking laughter.

"Rain Summoning Hierarch, you’ve worked hard, calling winds and summoning rains for days, and finally, our enemies have arrived!"

The black speck grew rapidly in their field of vision.

Fang Zhixing and his companions watched as it became a bird-man with an eagle’s face and black wings.

"Black Wing Venerable!"

Fang Zhixing had heard of this Evil God, the leader of the "Black Wing Sect" in Dai State, a sect with a wide following that was later eradicated by the Five Elements Sect.

The Black Wing Venerable had escaped for many years, his whereabouts unknown to anyone.

Sweeping his gaze over Fang Zhixing and the others, the Black Wing Venerable declared loudly, "The sky is my domain!"

"Burst Skill, Sky Ban!"
