Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337

Allen Rivera wouldn’t lie to her, Jane McCain knew this very well.

It was because she knew so well that she was utterly shocked! She almost jumped up, clutching her phone. Allen had arrived!

Jane forgot to even put on her coat, running out of the room quickly and changing her shoes at the door.

"Janie? We’re about to have dinner. Where are you going?" Ruby Spencer asked.

Jane was both excited and embarrassed, "My... my boyfriend seems to be here."

Everyone was taken aback, staring at her in surprise.

"You silly girl, if he’s here, he’s here. What do you mean ’seems to be’?" Ruby Spencer looked at Jane with skepticism. "Where is he?"

Jane was nervous and couldn’t say explicitly, so she replied ambiguously, "I’ll go down and check..."

With that, unable to wait, she slipped on her shoes and hurried out.

While waiting for the elevator, she received a message from Allen Rivera: it was a photo. There was pristine white snow in the photo, with a fish drawn in the snow, along with a few "blades of grass."

Without a doubt, it was her masterpiece from the road moments ago.

Jane held her chest, her heart pounding wildly, and touched her cheeks, which were burning hot.

Truly...

Truly... she didn’t know what to say.

Taking the elevator downstairs and opening the security door outside the building, she almost didn’t need to think, diving straight into his arms, hugging tightly.

A familiar low laugh came from above her head.

Her cheek pressed against his chest, she could feel the vibrations from his body caused by his laughter—a sound so genuinely real, like a heartbeat or pulse, it was incredibly pleasant, delighting her entire being, her whole soul.

"Throwing yourself into my arms, is this your New Year’s gift to me?" Allen Rivera embraced her, kissing her hair, "Thank you, I love it."

"How did you find your way here?" Jane nestled in his arms, feeling like she was in a beautiful dream bubbling with happiness.

Allen said, "I asked your assistant."

"Lisa?" Jane was still puzzled, "But that doesn’t seem right; Lisa only knows vaguely, not my exact address."

"You sent me a selfie, remember?" Allen said.

"Mm, the one by the window?"

"From the window, you could see the lighted sign of a shop on the street, a supermarket named Joys. I searched the map for nearby residential communities, then analyzed the distance and angle from the photo to deduce the building and floor of the window."

Jane stared at him with wide eyes, utterly amazed.

Seeing her dazed look, Allen gently touched her lips with his and said with a smile, "I’m not omnipotent; I got some help from colleagues in the Technical Department..."

Yet to Jane, he was indeed omnipotent!

In her heart, he was an invincible presence, manipulating her every joy and sorrow, while in this world, she was like a fledgling, waiting for him to nurture her with love, every pore wide open to welcome the happiness pouring into her.

If she lost him, she’d die.

A firefly without light, a kite without wind, dust without air... she would certainly die!

Happily yet sadly, she held Allen Rivera’s waist and murmured, "Why are you so wonderful?"

Allen laughed, "If I knew you’d be so moved, should I have come over last night? Hmm?"

Jane let out a soft hum, not saying a word.

"Loosen up a bit." Allen went to pull her hands.

"No way..." Jane pouted, clinging to him tightly.

"What to do..." Allen sighed helplessly, "Going up empty-handed would be impolite, right?"

Only then did Jane lift her head, blinking: "You brought gifts?"

"Mm, they’re all in the car." He leaned down to kiss her, "So be good, and make sure my first visit leaves a good impression."
