Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime -
Chapter 1295
Chapter 1295: Chapter 1295
"First come, first served. You answer first." Jane McCain mumbled from under the covers.
Allen Rivera laughed, kneading her body over the blanket, "Do you want a concise answer or a detailed one?"
"Detailed."
"A detailed answer would be long. I’ll tell you slowly once this busy period is over."
"And the concise one?"
"The concise one is..." He chuckled, leaning in to kiss her cheek, "You suit my taste."
Jane McCain: "..."
"Go to sleep, little night owl." Allen Rivera gently patted her and lay down beside her.
In the dim room, Jane McCain gazed into his face, finally giving up on asking further, moving closer to him in silence, and closed her eyes...
To Jane McCain, this was their first time sharing a bed.
One was fully clothed, the other bundled up tightly, squeezed in a narrow iron bunk bed, exhausted, cautious, yet warm and secure.
...
The next day, Allen Rivera got up very early.
Jane McCain was still in bed; after a chaotic night, she only fell asleep around three or four in the morning. She was too tired, and even though she felt Allen get up, she couldn’t open her eyes.
In her daze, she felt a gentle touch on her forehead, a soft breath fluttered lightly on her skin, ticklish.
She heard Allen say softly, "Sleep a bit more, I’ll go get breakfast."
She mumbled an "mm," or maybe she didn’t really make a sound, just answered him in her heart.
After sleeping a bit more, her body started feeling itchy and uncomfortable. Jane McCain finally couldn’t bear it, flung the covers off and sat up, discovering that her legs had developed many small red spots.
Despite being extremely sleepy, seeing her proud beautiful legs become like this woke her up instantly.
She was almost completely certain that it had been the poor quality synthetic fabric in the bedding that caused her skin to have an allergic reaction!
All over her legs and arms!
What about her face?
She quickly took out a small mirror from her bag — fortunately! Her face was fine!
Thinking it over, if her face had a bunch of red spots, how could Allen have kissed her just now?
Jane McCain was frustrated, unbuttoning to check the condition under her clothes. The front was fine, but she couldn’t see her back.
She held up the small mirror, trying her best to adjust the angle, and when she saw red spots on the back of her neck, she almost cried out in annoyance!
The door clicked open.
Jane McCain was startled, knowing she was currently not fully dressed, instinctively wanting to dive back under the covers. But considering the poor quality synthetic fabric, she hesitated!
With the hesitation, she delayed.
When Allen Rivera came in, he saw Jane McCain clutching her collar, standing on tiptoe before him in a distressed and awkward stance...
Allen Rivera was slightly surprised, approached to look Jane McCain up and down, "What’s wrong?"
Jane McCain raised an arm to show him, saying dejectedly, "Poor fabric, it’s caused an allergic reaction."
Allen Rivera then noticed the deep and light red blotches that had appeared on her skin.
It wasn’t that serious, not obvious if you didn’t look closely. But her skin was snowy white and delicate, and suddenly having a bunch of these issues, no wonder she’d feel sad and distressed.
Allen Rivera paused for a moment, placed the breakfast he was holding on the table, and wiped his hands with a napkin: "Come here, let me have a look."
Jane McCain went over, turned to face away from him, her tone full of annoyance, "Help me see if there are any on the back."
She loosened her collar, it slipped down her shoulders, raising a hand to gather her fluffy hair in front, revealing her slender swan neck and attractive shoulder blades.
"I looked in the mirror just before, the back of my neck is full of them... so annoying, can’t cover them up. I can’t be wearing a scarf indoors all the time, right..." she grumbled on.
Allen Rivera looked at the snowy soft skin of her back, silently raised a hand, tracing gently along its graceful curve, the feel under his fingertips was silky soft.
After a moment of gentle caressing, he said, "Let me help you cover it up."
Jane McCain was slightly taken aback.
In the next instant, his hot kiss landed on the back of her neck, the searing warmth of his lips sent her heart racing wildly.
