They had a meeting late into the night.

Jane McCain was alone in the dorm, playing with her phone until its battery was almost dead, but Allen Rivera and the others hadn’t come back yet.

Not wanting to sleep but having nothing to do, her only means of passing the time was now about to die.

Nowadays, many phone charging cables are universal, but Jane didn’t want to rummage through Fiona Lake and Juliet Stewart’s luggage, feeling that it would be very impolite. After thinking for a moment, she decided to check Allen Rivera’s things first.

Jane walked into the dorm, rummaged through Allen’s bag, found a phone charging cable, compared it with her phone, and sure enough, it was compatible. She felt quite pleased.

Jane stared at the bottle of Centrum multivitamin tablets for a while, then turned and looked outside the door, seeing that no one had returned yet.

Allen and his group returned from their meeting at 11 PM.

"Where did these come from?"

"Juliet Stewart brought them over."

"Why did she give you these?"

Jane pursed her lips, not speaking, but inwardly sneering: So adept at hiding her intentions, giving things under the guise of caring for everyone, naturally Allen wouldn’t refuse.

Allen pulled her over to sit on his lap, and asked with a smile, "What’s on your mind?"

"Nothing," Jane denied.

Allen teased her on purpose, "Aren’t you worried about someone stealing me away?"
