Chapter 1631: Chapter 1192: Reconciliation, Where Did the Rest Go!

The flowing light disappeared, and Negris found herself in a pitch-black void. All around her were countless glowing phantoms, densely covering the entire void. A rough estimate would suggest there were at least several billion. So Ange really summoned billions of consciousnesses here to fleece them?

Soon, these phantoms began drifting toward the center, gradually merging into a single consciousness light ball. Eventually, the only ones left in the void were the companions who knew each other.

Locke floated over, rubbed her head, and said, "You’ve gotten thinner."

"Pfft..." Negris spat out imaginary blood. Why was it always this line?

Feiti floated over, looking her up and down, and asked in surprise, "Lord Nage, why have you gotten thinner again?"

"I... This is a manifestation! I’m not thin!!" Negris retorted, hopping around angrily.

"Hehe, manifestation, sure, sure, you’re not skinny, not at all." Feiti rubbed her head, twisted her words, and floated away.

Harvey floated over and rubbed her head. The Great Sage floated over and rubbed her head. The Witch floated over and gave her a flick to the forehead.

"Why are you hitting me?!" Negris was dumbfounded, clutching her head in bewilderment.

"It’s been ages, I’ve missed you. Now, confess—have you been running your mouth about me behind my back!?" The Witch grabbed her by the neck, pulled her face closer, and asked menacingly.

Negris shook her head desperately. Damn Witch! How could she still remember those days of gossiping about her? She herself had forgotten all about it.

"Hmph, you’d better not have. Otherwise, I’ll strip away all your divine techniques." The Witch ’threatened’ menacingly, then rubbed her head again and floated away.

Negris sighed helplessly, somewhere between tears and laughter. "Why is everyone so enthusiastic? It’s not like we’ve been apart that long."

"For them, it really has been a long time. The dimensional world has a different time flow compared to the outside. Some people haven’t seen us in over ten thousand years," Anthony explained.

Ange’s constructed dimensional world indeed had a time differential with the outside. Anthony had lived his whole life outside before his soul transitioned inside, but Negris had projected herself into the Yellow Mud Book within the dimensional world through Little Bone’s prayers, so she hadn’t spent nearly as much time inside.

However, Little Bone, who had always been inside, had spent over ten thousand years planting trees. For those who entered the dimensional world early, it had been ages—over ten thousand years—since they last saw Negris and Anthony.

"Uh... It’s been that long?" Negris was shocked by the number. She had only lived for a little over ten thousand years herself, from her time as a dragon egg to when she aged and died, yet it had been ten thousand years for some people since they last met.

No wonder the ones being so enthusiastic were Locke, Feiti, and the Witch—the Undead ones. Everyone else had already been reborn, leaving only those who had lived the full ten thousand years.

While everyone was catching up, the consciousness light ball at the center suddenly moved and began condensing into a face, which then tilted its head in confusion.

There was no need to see the face clearly; just the familiar gesture let everyone know who it was. All the Undead except for Locke shouted in unison, "King."

The rest of the crowd called out together, "My Lord!"

Ange nodded.

Negris quickly floated over and asked in confusion, "What’s going on? What’s the situation? Where is everyone else? Is this your consciousness space? Is this light ball made up of all the consciousnesses you summoned?"

Ange nodded again and replied, "The others... returned to their bodies."

The rest of them couldn’t understand Ange’s cryptic answer, but Negris caught on. Ange’s nods meant ’This is his consciousness space, and this light ball consists of the consciousnesses he summoned,’ because only those two questions could be answered by nodding alone.

"So what’s the current situation? Why was everyone thrown out? Why not continue harvesting? Strip it clean! How much did you harvest?" Negris pressed further.

"A third. He resisted. Then stopped resisting. Kicked me," Ange replied.

"Kicked you? Wait, at the last moment, that God Star consciousness told us all to get lost. What exactly did you do to scare him like that?" Negris demanded.

Ange tilted his head, pondering, and said casually, "Fertilized."

"You really treated the consciousness space as farmland, didn’t you? Fertilized? You don’t mean... farm manure, do you?" Negris asked, horrified.

Ange nodded.

"..." Everyone present fell into a stunned silence. No wonder the God Star consciousness didn’t even want the portion of power that had been stripped from it and told Ange to leave. Farm manure? That’s... poop! Dumping that stuff, how could the consciousness light ball remain usable?!

To be fair, this was a manifestation, but that made it even worse. A body could be cleaned if it got dirty, but how do you cleanse consciousness?

The divine consciousness war was nothing short of bizarre. With all sorts of unbelievable methods, Ange forcefully stripped the God Star consciousness of a third of its power. Normally, there would’ve been a prolonged struggle, as the God Star wouldn’t have easily accepted such a loss. But who would’ve thought Ange would start fertilizing...

It’s a pity, though, that only a third was stripped. If half, or even the entirety, could’ve been seized, the rewards would’ve been unimaginable.

"So now..." Just as Negris was about to ask something else, Ange suddenly tensed up, pulling his face back into the consciousness light ball with force.

As Ange retreated, one after another, phantoms began manifesting in the void, as if being drawn in by some force.

"Another summoning? Wait... Natalia?" Anthony, initially confused about the second summoning, suddenly felt a strong resonance in his heart. Looking out into the countless phantoms, he immediately spotted Natalia.

Seeing the newly arrived Saintess, Anthony was startled, a deep sense of foreboding rising within him. Why had Natalia’s consciousness entered Ange’s consciousness space? Could it be... she had died?

Negris had the same thought and anxiously turned to look at the consciousness light ball. However, no visage of Ange appeared this time. Negris dared not disturb him.

After a long while, Ange’s face finally emerged on the consciousness light ball. Negris eagerly asked, "Ange, what happened? Did the God Star world collapse? Are all these people... dead?"

Ange nodded. "All... dead."

"Nearly... a billion, all dead?" The Origin World had close to a billion intelligent beings. Were they all gone, just like that?

Life seemed so fragile in that instant. Ange had just been expelled from the consciousness space, and the God Star, stripped of a third of its power, retaliated by wiping out a billion intelligent beings with one counterattack.

Taking a deep breath and looking at the countless phantoms in the void, Negris asked, "But... there are tens of millions here, right? Why did they end up in your consciousness space?"

Ange looked toward Anthony and said, "They believed... in God Star."

At the very last moment, most people had fervently offered their faith to Anthony as their ’God Star.’ Thus, a significant portion of their consciousnesses had been drawn into Ange’s consciousness space—or rather, been siphoned through Anthony as a conduit by Ange.

The God Star consciousness, still busy auditing accounts with the Star Progeny Master, let out an enraged roar: "Didn’t you say there was one billion intelligent beings here? Why are there only twenty million left? Where did the rest go?! Where?!"
