Chapter 1628: Chapter 1189: I Soaked All Your Paper with Horse Urine

The Star Progeny Master and the God Star Consciousness were practically bulging their eyes out—if they even had eyes—because why was there something else here?

"Who!?" the Star Progeny Master shouted sharply.

"What is this? Damn traitor, did you bring someone into my Consciousness Space?" God Star Consciousness demanded angrily.

"No, definitely not! Who is it? Come out!" The Star Progeny Master frantically denied, his tone flustered.

A giant hand lifted God Star Consciousness up, then clenched mid-air before plunging downward into the water.

If this had been observed by a farmer experienced in planting rice, they might instantly recognize this as a seedling-planting gesture.

To compete against the constraints of water and heat conditions, experienced farmers invented a method of planting that involved raising seedlings first and then transplanting them. Seedlings were cultivated indoors initially, and when spring rains arrived and temperatures rose, they would be transplanted into the fields.

With this method, the original growth period of five months could be reduced to just four, saving an entire month. This also meant new seedlings could be raised before the first harvest, allowing quick land preparation for the second planting.

Under suitable water and heat conditions, crops could be planted twice before winter. In places without snow year-round, they could even manage three or four harvests.

Back in the Land of Fallen, Ange had relied on the advance cultivation method to plant Magic Rice successfully before Eternal Night receded. Hence, this gesture of planting seedlings was incredibly familiar to him.

Though his hand held no actual seedlings, at the moment he plunged it downward, a seedling manifested and immediately began rapidly growing—sprouting ears, forming grains, and filling out...

God Star Consciousness and the Star Progeny Master were both dumbfounded: What the hell? Planting seedlings in the Consciousness Space?

Had it been any other kind of act, they might not have been so shocked—but this? Seedling planting? What is happening?

God Star Consciousness instinctively threw out a punch, a surge of power blasting toward the hand planting seedlings.

But this wasn’t a physical hand—it held no substance. Destroying it was meaningless. Even with three fingers left, they continued pinching together and plunging downward; another seedling sprouted and grew rapidly.

God Star Consciousness struck out again, shattering the remaining three fingers. Still, it was to no avail. Hundreds of meters away, a giant hand floated up, pinched together, and plunged downward into the earth once more.

The God Star Consciousness finally reacted—abandoning the hand altogether—and dove forcefully into the ’water.’

As soon as he made contact, another giant hand floated to the surface, lifting him up once again. The God Star Consciousness swung both fists, smashing through the palm before plunging into the water.

Ultimately, he managed to enter the Consciousness Light Ball, but the exchange left the water with three new rice seedlings. One of them had already begun bearing grains.

The giant hand materialized once more, sweeping through the planted rice. With a single stroke, it gathered all the grains into its grasp. Then it forcefully scattered them, evenly distributing them across the water’s surface. The grains germinated, grew, sprouted ears, formed grains, and filled out...

Suddenly alarmed by a realization, the Star Progeny Master shouted urgently, "Not good! He’s infiltrating your consciousness—you’re no longer pure!"

What is consciousness? It is the purest and most fundamental essence of life. Without this consciousness, life ceases to be called life.

Every living being has a unique consciousness. To inject one’s consciousness into another’s is known as "descent."

In religious concepts, ’holy’ refers to the will of the gods. The Saintess is a pure woman who embodies divine will. Worshippers follow this divine will as their highest directive, seeing the manifestation of divine will as their ultimate aspiration.

But those are worshippers—they pride themselves on being infused with divine consciousness. The more mixed, the better. They would eagerly become part of the gods. The God Star, however, is different. If the God Star gets contaminated and becomes ’holy,’ who would these powers belong to?

Without needing the Star Progeny Master’s warning, the God Star Consciousness sensed something wrong. The originally harmonious powers now had portions that refused to obey his commands—like parts of a body paralyzed.

Panicking, the God Star Consciousness immediately focused his attention on the paralyzed sections. But that part did not engage with him at all; instead, it dispersed entirely.

Well, where before only some areas felt paralyzed, now the feeling spread across his whole body, leaving a strange intrusion, an impurity.

"AHHHH!!!!" God Star Consciousness let out an enraged roar, igniting the entire Consciousness Light Ball into furious turbulence.

One ball of fire after another erupted—all those lingering yet unsuppressed consciousnesses of humans, Elves, and Dwarves screamed in agony as they burned until they finally became part of the light ball.

One couldn’t really say whether this development was good or bad. The dead were already dead, existing with partial awareness only prolonged their suffering. Yet in the final moments before dispersing, they endured the sheer agony of being burned by fire—a pain striking directly at their consciousness. It was truly miserable.

But there was no time for anyone to pity them at this point. A giant hand lifted Anthony and Negris away from the surface of the Light Ball, followed by the manifestation of an enormous foot stamping forcefully upon the surface.

"Instant Death Halo?" Negris immediately recognized the function of that foot. Sure enough, as the footprint appeared, the rice grains on the surface of the Light Ball began growing frantically.

The rice grains—a strange blend of biological consciousnesses—burned, yet under Ange’s pressure, they resisted the flames, growing explosively while sprouting ears and filling with grain.

The giant hand returned to harvest the grains, sweeping them clean into its grasp, pinching them one by one.

"Now two hands and one foot—could it be that the Master is expanding his own body? What about the second foot?" Anthony speculated aloud.

Despite the chaotic and dazzling scene unfolding, Anthony managed to grasp the key point—from the single hand lifting the God Star Consciousness, to two hands, to the Instant Death Halo with two hands and one foot. Based on this progression, Ange was very likely expanding his body.

Sure enough, not long after Anthony’s words, the second foot suddenly materialized, planting itself firmly on the surface of the Light Ball.

Where the second foot pressed down, an unexpected ’gel plate’ emerged, floating atop the ball.

The footsteps stepped back. One hand clutching a mass of rice grains, the other carefully inserting those grains into the gel plate. Two hands, two feet—stepping, planting—created clusters of rice that began growing across the constantly manifesting gel plate.

Anthony marveled out loud: "What a bizarre fight! The Master is using planting techniques to blend his own consciousness into the Light Ball. The God Star Consciousness is using burning to destroy the Master’s crops. The Master counters by using water planting methods to isolate the flames while deploying Instant Death Halo to accelerate crop growth. Every tactic is rooted in reality, yet the Master’s expanding body clearly gives him the upper hand..."

Just as Anthony analyzed this, he abruptly shut his mouth, alertly turning toward his rear, where the Star Progeny Master had been quietly creeping closer, craning his neck to eavesdrop.

Caught, the Star Progeny Master awkwardly froze, but he still asked, "Why do you say he’s at an advantage?"

Having never experienced such a battle of divine consciousness before, the Star Progeny Master was thoroughly stunned. Who would have thought such strange combat could take place in the Consciousness Space? And worse—the enemy seemed to have the upper hand! He couldn’t resist secretly listening to Anthony’s analysis.

Right as it reached the most critical part, the other party caught him—and suddenly stopping there felt agonizing. It was worse than hearing nothing at all; it was torture akin to reading half a story’s cliffhanger.

Before the Star Progeny Master could get another word in, Negris had already leapt up, whipping his tail dramatically: hehehehe—

"It won’t work. In Consciousness Space, only pure consciousness can hurt someone; you won’t hit me," the Star Progeny Master declared audaciously, standing motionless despite Negris’s tail lashing at him.

Still, he shoved Negris’s head away, likely disgusted by imaginary saliva—even though saliva didn’t exist here—it was simply discomforting.

After flicking his tail several times in vain, Negris was stunned: "Why can Ange lift us up then?"

"Presumably, the Master is using pure consciousness," Anthony replied.

Unable to land an effective attack, Negris thought of another but knew he couldn’t utilize it. He begrudgingly muttered, "Can’t hit him, but could at least insult him, right? Too bad Lightning’s not here; he’d curse him senseless."

Just as he said this, a horse head slowly materialized before Negris, glancing around in shock, fixing its gaze upon him.

"Lord Nage? Why are you here? Huh, where are my horns? Where’s my body? What did you do to me? You chopped me down to just a head? What did you do, you shit-yellow four-legged virgin lizard!? Give me back my horns, or I’ll soak all your toilet paper with horse pee every time you take a dump!"
