Chapter 1627: Chapter 1188: Don’t Come, My

The Ancient Godlight is merely a metaphor, a metaphor that both Ange and Anthony can understand, referring to the awareness of the God Star.

Now they had encountered three God Stars—the one on the Chaos Plane, Gemez Fortress in the distant Void, and the one before them. Initially, they believed this one lacked consciousness, but they didn’t expect that it actually had awareness, albeit imprisoned.

Isn’t this awareness comparable to the Ancient Godlight of the Chaos Plane? The one that fought Ange’s true body for decades, only to be forcibly drained and defeated by leveraging the accumulation from the Dimensional Space?

Everyone understood Negris’s implication. Anthony’s heart tightened—if the opponent had the power of Ancient Godlight, could they possibly outlast it without Ange’s true body present?

The Star Progeny Master could imprison a being of Ancient Godlight’s level—could it be that he had some hidden, untapped abilities?

After several rounds of interaction, Anthony had actually developed a psychological advantage against the Star Progeny Master, believing the latter couldn’t rival Ange. But if he could imprison Ancient Godlight, Anthony realized he must reevaluate the Star Progeny Master’s strength.

As Anthony mulled this over silently, the Star Progeny Master spoke, "If I free you, what will you do?"

"?" The face emerging from the Abyss showed a clearly bewildered expression: I was just casually talking, are you seriously considering it?

"I have encountered an adversary I cannot defeat. If I release you, what will you do?" The Star Progeny Master bluntly stated.

The bewildered look vanished from the face, replaced by curiosity: "An enemy you cannot defeat? Another God Star has arrived? Or has Ancient Godlight escaped?"

The Star Progeny Master replied, "It escaped from the Boundless Space Hole, but it’s not Ancient Godlight."

"Not Ancient Godlight? Escaped from the Boundless Space Hole, not Ancient Godlight, and you cannot defeat it? Then what exactly is it? Who else could emerge from the Boundless Space Hole?" The face grew anxious, even more so than when the idea of being freed was raised.

The Star Progeny Master shook his head. "I don’t know. It possesses the power of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, Ancient Godlight, and also the Undead."

Upon hearing this, the face showed a furious expression: "Damn it, the worst has come to pass! I knew we shouldn’t have allowed the Time-Space Ancient Dragon inside! It must be the Time-Space Ancient Dragon—Ancient Godlight and the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms are constants, only the Time-Space Ancient Dragon was the wild card! You incompetent prison guard! I tasked you with overseeing the Boundless Space Hole precisely to prevent accidents like this, you fool! You spent all your effort imprisoning me, didn’t you?"

The Star Progeny Master endured the tirade without rebuttal; it was true that he focused most of his energy on imprisoning the awareness of the God Star and had never paid attention to the Boundless Space Hole, not until Heaven’s Fortress had appeared.

For him, this was indeed a failure in his duty, but considering he had successfully imprisoned the God Star’s awareness, did he even care about negligence?

"I thought escaping the Boundless Space Hole was impossible—they lack sufficient energy to cross the vast Energy Level Desert. Besides, you remotely detonated Ancient Godlight using awareness transmission; there was no way they could leave there." The Star Progeny Master defended himself.

"You don’t understand the power of the God Star and its symbiont, you foolish White Crystal." The face angrily retorted.

The Star Progeny Master replied, "I thought I understood—I thought his power was about equal to yours."

"..." The face shrank slightly toward the Devouring Abyss, as if holding back pent-up anger.

After a long silence, the face finally spoke with frustration, "I gave you the Abyss Bridge precisely to deal with situations like this. And yet you used it on me—how absurd! You used my own Abyss Bridge to imprison me, completely unaware of my true power."

"If I do release you, given your power, what will you do?" The Star Progeny Master asked.

"I’d blast you to pieces first, then cram your Crystal Core into my own core, subject you to extreme heat and pressure, and keep you there until my lifespan ends!" The face snapped with venom.

The Star Progeny Master immediately turned and floated away into the distance.

Anthony said softly, "Acting."

"Acting? Who’s acting?" Negris asked in surprise.

"The Star Progeny Master—this is the Consciousness Space. If he wanted to leave, a single thought would suffice. Yet he intentionally turns and floats away slowly." Anthony replied.

True enough, the face shouted loudly, "Come back!"

The Star Progeny Master turned around and floated back.

The face hesitated for a while before saying, "I swear by the power of the God Star. If you release me, I will not harm or imprison you, and I shall no longer pursue past grievances."

The Star Progeny Master shook his head. "If I open the Abyss Bridge to release you, you must help me nurture the Sun here to become a God Star and follow my commands until I seize its power."

"Impossible!" The face instinctively rejected.

The Star Progeny Master turned and floated away again.

"Come back!" The face’s voice carried a mix of reluctance and fury.

After carefully studying the Star Progeny Master, the face’s expression fluctuated for quite a while before finally saying, "Clever move—expecting me to follow your orders? If you demand me to self-destruct, must I comply? Fine, a compromise: I will obey only your commands related to nurturing the God Star, without interfering in your efforts to seize its power. No more, no less."

"Agreed, but you must teach me the technique for projecting the Clan." The Star Progeny Master responded.

"Fine. But are you certain you can nurture a God Star? If you fail indefinitely, am I to obey you forever?" The face asked.

The Star Progeny Master replied, "The projection technique is to ensure success. Ten thousand years—if I fail to nurture the God Star within ten thousand years, I will leave via projection. You only need to obey my commands during those ten thousand years."

"No, the contract ends either when you seize the God Star’s power or after ten thousand years." The face said.

The Star Progeny Master agreed, and both sides meticulously adjusted the contract’s terms for a long time, filling in numerous loopholes—it was evident both were experienced. Finally, the contract was established, and the Star Progeny Master opened the Abyss Bridge.

Three constantly rotating Rings aligned into a single plane. Imprints and patterns on their surfaces lit up one by one, connecting with each other. With a buzz, the gaps between the Rings vanished, seemingly melding together, as the Devouring Abyss at the center disappeared, revealing a mass of twisted, contorting light.

Freed of its restraints, the light mass appeared briefly stunned, before regaining its composure, stretching into form, and transforming into a middle-aged human male. He cast a deep, deliberate glance at the Star Progeny Master, then slowly descended toward the ’water surface.’

Anthony frowned and muttered, "Something feels off—this guy doesn’t seem like the God Star’s awareness... Wait, where’s Lord Ange?"

Negris glanced around, only to realize that Ange had disappeared at some point.

As the human figure approached the water’s surface, his body tilted backward, as if to lay down in the water. Then, a massive hand emerged from the water, firmly supporting him, followed by a voice: "Don’t come. This one’s mine."
