Chapter 1610: Chapter 1171: The Steering Wheel is Integrated with That Thing

"Ange, you need to come take a look." Negris said solemnly within the Soul Network.

Normally, Ange wouldn’t pay any attention to Negris, but its tone this time clearly indicated something important had happened. Although often, what Negris deemed important and what Ange considered important were completely different things.

On the other hand, Anthony always knew what was truly important to Ange. If it wasn’t significant, he would never disturb him. And when he had no choice but to intrude, he’d directly ask Ange for help, decisively and swiftly.

But since Negris was his translator, not responding would essentially turn Ange into a mute. With no one to speak on his behalf, Ange begrudgingly kicked away the footprints on the sand and flew in Negris’s direction.

As soon as he landed on the beach and saw the helm artifact, Ange immediately understood why he had been summoned. Landing before the helm, Ange tilted his head slightly and extended his hand to summon a Wheel of Time and Space imprint.

"That’s it, exactly! Glad I can recognize it—it resembles the Wheel of Time and Space so much! Though the manifestation here is a helm with handles, whereas the Wheel of Time and Space doesn’t have handles. Let me analyze further... hmm, these markings are different, too. But overall, the magic patterns, model, circuit, shape, core—everything is identical." Negris squinted his eyes, comparing left and right as he spoke.

Anthony couldn’t hold back and asked, "Lord Nage, what exactly is the Wheel of Time and Space? Have you seen it before?"

Negris put his hands on his hips and said, "You’ve probably never seen it. I named it the Wheel of Time and Space. How’s that? Catchy, right?"

"Oh, it’s fantastic! Lord Nage truly has the gift for naming things. I’m deeply impressed. So, where did the Wheel of Time and Space come from?" Anthony wore a look of ’admiration,’ though his hands behind his back were already clenched into fists.

That Dead Fat Dragon still kept them in suspense at this point. If Anthony didn’t need its answers, he would have gladly summoned the Little Angel to give it a beating.

Perhaps sensing it would get thrashed if it continued stalling, Negris said, "This is the core imprint of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon. Whether it’s time stoppage, space solidification, or predictive power, at the center of it all lies the Wheel of Time and Space imprint. It has infinite variations and hundreds of combinations. But no matter how it changes, it’s always the core component—like the heart of a Magic Array."

Anthony was shocked. "Are you saying this helm artifact was left behind by the Dragon God?"

"Not exactly. Many of the markings are different, and the residual energies completely diverge. We can only say that time’s mysteries are like solving a mathematical puzzle. This god found an answer, though it may not necessarily be a good thing," Negris explained.

"Why wouldn’t it be a good thing?" Anthony asked curiously.

"It’s too much to bear. Do you still remember how Ange was when he transformed into the Dragon God? He could only maintain that form for a few seconds. Over time, he gradually strengthened himself and could endure it for longer, but that was merely the first stage of the Dragon God transformation."

"The second stage—the broad-shouldered Muscle Dragon God—only came about when he transitioned from the Lord of Mourning to the Black Crystal Soul. It wasn’t until the third phase, the fully-formed Time-Space Ancient Dragon, when he possessed the Primordial Body and faced the Ancient Godlight, that he could withstand it. Do you think some minor god you’ve never heard of could endure the Power of Time and Space?" Negris said.

"Impossible to endure. But how did the Time-Space Ancient Dragon manage to withstand it?" Anthony wondered aloud.

Negris crossed his arms and said, "It was born capable. From the moment it came into existence, it was already a Primordial God. We Ancient Dragons share this trait, understanding the mysteries of time and space from birth. To manage this immense power, the Power of Time and Space was divided into three attributes and distributed among the Time Dragon, Space Dragon, and Prophet Dragon. Yet even for us Ancient Dragons, wielding space-time skills is a monumental challenge."

As a Prophet Brass Dragon, Negris himself could only predict a few seconds of his enemy’s movements during battles. But knowing didn’t ensure avoiding; avoiding didn’t guarantee escaping. When faced with Locke, he’d get half-beaten to death, and eventually even lost his Prophet power to the Monarch.

Only in the hands of someone who could bear the Prophet power, like a Monarch, would its true potential emerge—the ability to vaguely foresee future shifts. Yet when confronted by Ange, the predictive ability completely failed.

Prophet power couldn’t foresee the future of beings of equal standing. The moment such a variable entered the equation, visions of the future became utterly blurred.

This illustrated just how overwhelmingly powerful the Power of Time and Space was. Even the fragmented Prophet power, capable of forecasting the future, remained beyond the grasp of ordinary gods.

"Perhaps this god fell because it couldn’t handle the Power of Time and Space—similar to a Magic Backlash," Negris speculated.

Describing it as "unable to bear" might be unclear, but as soon as he mentioned Magic Backlash, everyone understood immediately—Valu included.

A magician’s meditation could cultivate spiritual power and magic power. Combined with a Spellcasting Wand and controlled elements, this enabled them to gather and release magic. But if the control faltered and magic failed, Magic Backlash occurred. In such cases, the magician wouldn’t just be injured; they might be fatally wounded.

Thus, magicians generally avoided casting magic of their current tier. For example, Arcane Magicians rarely performed arcane magic. If compelled to do so, such as Tyrone’s Typhoon spell, they’d assemble their Magician Group to combine forces and ensure success.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely necessary to rely on group synergy—like in the case of Brooks—for Giant Dragons had certain innate magical advantages. However, regardless of their methods, Magic Backlash was a grave matter, even fatal.

If this god couldn’t control the Power of Time and Space and suffered a backlash, falling was entirely plausible.

"Enough of this..." Anthony was about to ask more about the Wheel of Time and Space when he suddenly noticed Ange reach out and press down on the helm artifact.

Anthony immediately shut up and focused on Ange. Negris did the same—Ange never acted without purpose, so if he was moving now, had he discovered something?

They watched as Ange slowly and firmly applied pressure to the helm. One hand wasn’t enough; he pressed both hands onto it, leaning forward and exerting force.

The helm began trembling, its patterns, magic patterns, and energy circuits gradually illuminating and spreading across its entire form.

"Where is he trying to push the helm? He doesn’t even have Dimensional Space at hand!" Negris exclaimed in surprise.

Ange’s actions clearly didn’t resemble pushing or pressing; rather, this was space manipulation. Back when he transported Tyrone’s Astrology Tower, he had similarly pressed it into a Dimensional Space. But now, he lacked any Dimensional Space.

Anthony couldn’t comprehend the scene either and chose to remain silent.

The powerful energy surged through Ange’s body, causing the helm to tremble more violently.

Ange persisted, his scales rippling as he transformed into a First-Order Dragon God, continuing to exert his strength. His shoulders broadened, muscles bulged, and he morphed into a Second-Order Muscle Dragon God.

Negris blinked and said hesitantly, "Am I seeing things? Do I see some sort of phantom image?"

"You’re not seeing things, Lord Nage. Something is being pushed out of Dimensional Space by him. The helm and that object are one entity," Anthony said, shocked.
