Chapter 1547: Chapter 1108: Does This Count as ’Next Time’?
"Oh my, he’s copying you! He’s using your words to mock you, Old God Stick. Can you let this slide?" Negris yelled mischievously, fueled by the drama.
Anthony shot him a cross look before turning to Xisluo and said, "Provoking with words is not a wise action. It gains no benefit, only risks inciting anger. Of course, we wouldn’t let such petty tricks provoke us, but the fact that you couldn’t hold back shows there’s some resentment in your heart."
Xisluo blinked. Resentment? Of course, he resented them! These interlopers who seemingly appeared out of nowhere stole his Minor Source Body—no, what they called the Star God.
They took his Star God and even kidnapped his Witch, threatening him to come out or they’d ransack his home. Who could be indifferent to such humiliation?
From the moment they threatened him, the situation was sealed. He had no choice but to pack up and escape quickly.
Sure, they promised to let him go if he revealed the method to create a Star God, but could he trust them?
No, with his Witch and those human followers in their hands, they could easily pinpoint his location. Finding him within a limited area wouldn’t be too difficult.
From that moment, running away was inevitable. He didn’t dare put his safety in their hands.
All because a follower went out to trade some grain, he ended up betrayed, exiled, and extorted for his secret techniques. How could he not resent this?
But as Anthony said, it was meaningless. This approach didn’t change anything—he still had to run—but it might unnecessarily enrage them further.
Look at that Little Fat Dragon gloating so gleefully! Even if the human negotiating with him wasn’t angry now, that Fat Dragon would cheerily remind him every day, eventually driving him mad.
But what’s said is said. There’s no taking it back, and it’s just fleeing, so what’s the big deal?
Thinking of this, Xisluo stubbornly retorted, "I want to. What’s it to you... ah, what’s that? A giant bug? Spitting at me? Wait till I squash it!"
Far away on the Boulder Plains, massive stones were scattered across the vast greenery. As the wind swept through, the tall grass swayed like waves of an emerald ocean.
Among the stones, most were ordinary, but one at the center stood out. Stepping onto it and reaching the top would suddenly transport you to a spectacular world.
Clouds, blue skies, and grasslands vanished instantly. Above the stone lay a pitch-black Void glittering with unimpeded starlight.
This perfect stargazing scene gave the illusion that the sky and the Plane Barrier had evaporated. However, this was merely a Divine Realm. Beneath the Void, a tall, thin figure resembling a candle stood, occasionally touched by falling starlight.
At that moment, a giant bug sneaked in from the stone, cautiously crawling to the figure’s feet and spitting at them. Startled, the tall figure exclaimed, "...A giant bug spitting at me? Wait till I squash it!"
Xisluo pulled back his awareness and slapped at the bug without hesitation. He barely had time to question how a bug had gotten into his Divine Realm.
The bug opened its enormous mouth... Can you imagine a bug, barely palm-sized, opening a gaping maw the size of a human head, packed with rows of sharp, blood-stained teeth?
Xisluo recoiled instantly, his hand snapping back. He froze in terror as an ominous premonition crept over him.
The blood-stained maw stretched wider and wider. Behind it came a long neck, a broad back, hefty limbs, and armored scales...
What emerged wasn’t just a bug—it was a towering monster, its massive, scaley body leaking black mist as it coldly fixed its gaze on him.
What the hell is this thing?
Before Xisluo could process the situation, a thunderous crash suddenly shook his Divine Realm as if struck by something.
Xisluo’s expression darkened. He glanced around and then back at the monstrous beast before him.
The creature, utterly indifferent, stuck out its tongue mockingly.
"Damn it, you’re working with Anthony! How did you find me?!" Xisluo finally understood.
Anthony’s group had shockingly found him so quickly, using some shapeshifting monster disguised as a bug to infiltrate his Divine Realm. Now, it served as a beacon for them to break through.
But how had this creature found him so fast? Their earlier banter hadn’t lasted long enough for them to track him here, had it?
Xisluo didn’t have time to dwell on it. He thrust his hand toward Hemel’s direction, summoning a cascade of starlight like a falling waterfall to crush Hemel.
In the next moment, Xisluo regretted his action. Hemel shattered into a swarm of bugs that scattered and crawled in all directions.
What’s worse than killing a creature, only for it to explode into a horde of cockroaches rushing toward you? Xisluo turned tail and fled in pure horror.
BOOM! His Divine Realm was breached with a deafening explosion. A massive fist tore through it and drew back, leaving a hole. In that gap, Anthony’s enormous face grinned at him warmly: "Found you."
The sight was more terrifying than Hemel’s swarm of bugs. Xisluo let out a piercing scream and bolted in the opposite direction.
Anthony’s voice echoed in from the tear in the Divine Realm: "Don’t bother running. It’s futile. That bug didn’t spit saliva—it marked you with pheromones. As long as you’re within the Alliance’s territory, you can’t escape that mark."
Xisluo’s legs buckled. So it was a mark. No wonder the bug spat on him without immediately biting him.
Anthony withdrew briefly before two massive hands reached into the breach, gripping its edges tightly and pulling with great force.
Ange wasn’t even using his own strength. He leveraged the World-Ending Magic Formation and the Holy Kingdom as fulcrums, channeling Plane-level power—forceful enough to tear the Devouring Abyss apart—to rip open the Divine Realm. They all filed in one after the other.
Xisluo sank into despair. They had torn through his Divine Realm so effortlessly—his laws were meaningless against them.
A Divine Realm was a manifestation of rules. For example, in the Goddess of War and Peace’s domain, every living creature would perish. But if you threw in the Little Sapling, her rules would instantly collapse. To the Little Sapling, her powers were entirely useless.
He couldn’t fight them, couldn’t run, and his Divine Realm was ineffective. If he’d known, he wouldn’t have mouthed off earlier.
Wearing a miserable expression, Xisluo demanded, "How did you find me so quickly?"
"Does that count as your ’next question’?" Anthony shrugged. "Your Witch came to us with a lump of insect poop. It had the bug’s scent, so we followed it. Now then, your turn—where’s the Megalith Array?"
