Chapter 1535: Chapter 1096: Make Way, I’m About to Scam Someone

Duroken asked puzzled, "Why do you want this? Can’t you already perceive Origin Power?"

Negris rolled his eyes, "You can walk, but don’t you want to ride a carriage?"

Duroken shook his head, "No, I want to be a Dragon Knight and ride a dragon."

Negris puffed out shimmering Silver Light Dragon Breath from his mouth, glaring at him fiercely.

Duroken quickly pulled out his pair of glasses, tied the legs with an elastic string, and handed them to Negris in a flattering manner.

"Hmph." Negris accepted the glasses proudly and began examining them.

The second-generation pinhole imaging glasses had completely transformed compared to the first generation. The first generation was merely circular frames with a hole punched in the middle, which could hardly be called glasses.

Now, these glasses boasted an exquisitely crafted frame, intricate patterns, and luxurious adornments, exuding an aura of unaffordability at first glance.

The lens no longer featured a single hole but rather a neat arrangement of pinholes scattered across the entire lens area, ensuring the view was not overly obstructed.

The first generation only had a single hole, forcing the wearer to squint, greatly limiting the field of vision.

"No wonder he’s called the King of Alchemy. With improvements like this, they’ve become practical. You can wear them in daily life without issue. If it were the earlier model, I’d only take them out when absolutely necessary." Anthony donned the glasses, glanced left and right, and commented with satisfaction.

The earlier design had been inconvenient to use, extremely conspicuous, and wearing them looked ridiculous. This version was much more aesthetically pleasing.

However, Anthony still offered a few suggestions, "Can we change the color? Silver is too eye-catching. Gray, yellowish, or skin-tone shades would be ideal, preferably matte. Also, they don’t necessarily need to be glasses—masks, helmets, or visors would work too."

"Additionally, could we add a quick-switch mechanism? Something to lift them when not in use. For a Black Warrior, this style still somewhat interferes with visibility, and it disrupts a wizard’s spell-lock vision."

Duroken nodded repeatedly as he listened, pulling out materials to begin crafting instantly.

While he worked, Anthony stuck his head out of the carriage, looking ahead towards where the Great Speaker stood.

Among a line of coffins, the Great Speaker’s figure was occasionally obscured, making him difficult to discern clearly. Anthony decided to focus on the coffins instead. Each one emitted a faint, multi-colored aura from its gaps, which clung to the coffin surfaces.

These shimmering hues resembled the rainbow-like reflections seen in bubbles under sunlight. When Anthony adjusted the glasses and looked with the naked eye, the multi-colored aura disappeared.

It was clear that the aura was a manifestation of some kind of Origin Power.

At that moment, the Great Speaker turned a corner, and the coffins stopped obstructing his view. Anthony could finally see clearly: the Great Speaker himself was surrounded by a layer of multi-colored aura.

The densest part of the aura was on his feet. With each step, the aura exploded in a circle, propelling him forward with remarkable speed.

Anthony withdrew back into the carriage, glanced thoughtfully at Ange, and then said, "Why can’t we see any Origin Power emanating from you, sir?"

"Huh? Is that abnormal?" Negris had just finished tying the glasses onto his talon-like claws and turned to look at Ange in confusion.

Ange also looked down at himself and tilted his head.

"I’m not sure if this is abnormal, but the Great Speaker has it, those Undead creatures in the coffins have it too. Let’s check if Bret has it later," Anthony said.

"He does," Ange replied.

"He does? Then does the Great Speaker always have it? Is it standard that anyone with Origin Power has a visible aura, except for you, sir?" Anthony asked.

Ange nodded, "I don’t need it. None."

"He doesn’t show any aura when he’s not using Origin Power," Negris quickly clarified.

Anthony thought for a moment before saying, "Sir, later in front of the Great Speaker, please refrain from using Origin Power."

Ang nodded and took off his scarecrow hat. "Even if I use it, it won’t be visible."

"Uh, I completely forgot you’re still wearing that scarecrow hat," Anthony exclaimed.

Not only had he forgotten, but everyone else had as well. Ange’s body was a plant construct, later coated in Black Crystal. Yet after he donned the scarecrow hat, he always appeared as a human figure, causing everyone to inadvertently overlook that he was still wearing the hat.

With the hat’s concealment, any aura from Origin Power became invisible unless fluctuations occurred upon its use, rendering it detectable.

The King of Alchemy earned his title because he himself acted as a complete alchemical workshop. As long as materials were available, he could perform alchemy anywhere. Following Anthony’s suggestions, he swiftly crafted the third-generation imaging lenses.

Both Negris and Silver Coin received goggles with slight differences in size and color.

Negris’ goggles were silver, matching his scales, and once worn, made him look blind.

Silver Coin’s goggles were simple leather-frame goggles, perfect for his Goblin identity—many Goblins piloting airships favored this style.

As for Anthony’s model, it was embedded into his crown. It remained folded away normally, only dropping down to cover his eyes when he pushed his head forward forcefully. This transformed the gentle, benevolent Pope of Light into a stoic close-combat warrior.

While this design forced Anthony to lose sight of Origin Power unless he lowered the visor, there was no choice. Anthony relied heavily on his charisma; without expressions to complement his words, his persuasive effectiveness dropped by fifty percent.

Besides goggles, Duroken also spun threads from solidified Source of Water, embedding Magic Patterns into everyone’s equipment, enabling them to generate Origin Power.

Duroken continued crafting throughout the journey, while Ange kept his hands within the spatial pocket, and the Great Speaker tirelessly flew ahead without resting. After an entire day’s travel, they finally returned to the Zhuo Shan Dimension.

In the Void, they were greeted by Bret, though he was in a drastically different state than before. Bret now had only one arm and one leg remaining, his left shoulder shattered, and several dents visible on his skull—truly transitioning from "a head with a shell" to "a head with holes."

"Sir and everyone, don’t come close. I don’t know the distance for contagion or whether infection can spread within the Void. Until a solution is found, please stay as far away as possible. If no remedy is discovered, you should leave. We can’t let sir and the rest of you become infected." Bret said firmly.

Anthony’s eyes emitted Holy Light, projecting like searchlights to illuminate Bret in the distance. Upon closer inspection, Anthony exclaimed in shock, "No, it’s not Bone Devouring Fungus."

When they had first heard the Great Speaker’s description, they immediately thought of the bone-rotting disease that infected Undead creatures in the Master Plane.

Typically, diseases caused by bacteria could be purified with a single touch of Holy Light. However, upon closer examination, it became evident that this wasn’t a bacterial infection, which complicated matters.

Seeing Anthony’s reaction, the Great Speaker’s soul tightened, and he anxiously asked, "What? You don’t recognize this disease? You can’t cure it?"

Anthony exchanged a glance with Ange, who nodded. Only then did Anthony respond, "It’s not that we can’t, but it will be considerably troublesome... sigh."

Anthony hesitated, while Negris, Duroken, and Silver Coin instinctively retreated half a step, clearing the way. It was evident the Death God’s Staff was about to make an appearance.

As expected, the Great Speaker quickly pressed, "What kind of trouble? Tell me—your trouble might not be trouble for me."
