Chapter 1515: Chapter 1076: Am I Stupid to Share Credit with You?

"They shouldn’t have run far. Spread out to search for them, and notify others with bloodline resonance when you find them. Do not attack them on your own. Quickly." Compared to the frantic and furious North Corona, the Great Ruler appeared much more composed, diligently issuing commands.

Elarafate hesitated and glanced at North Corona, thinking to himself: What if the enemy also has dragon bloodline and can sense the bloodline resonance?

However, he dared not voice these thoughts. If it really was Ange’s group behind this, his own wife was an accomplice, and his child was in their hands.

Moreover, he couldn’t be certain if Ange’s group truly had the ability to move the Abyss of World-Ending. Relocating an entire plane wasn’t just a matter of sheer power; it required immense energy.

It’s like how some powerful beings can easily crush a stone into powder, but moving an entire mountain could exhaust them to the point of spitting blood. Ange might have the power to shatter the World-Ending Strike, but that didn’t necessarily mean he could move an entire plane.

Elarafate’s hesitation was misunderstood by the Great Ruler, who assumed he was waiting for North Corona to give the command. It was reasonable; even if the other party’s orders were logical, he wouldn’t want his subordinates randomly obeying someone else’s commands.

A truly loyal dragon indeed...

The Great Ruler secretly nodded in approval before saying, "North Corona, don’t panic. They shouldn’t have run far. Such a large array would need at least dozens of giant dragons and airships to pull it. There’s no way they could gather that many dragons, so their speed must be slow. Have your people spread out to search quickly."

Hearing the Great Ruler’s words, the panicked North Corona clung to them like a lifeline and loudly commanded, "Elarafate, quickly! Have everyone spread out to search. We must find my array and bring it back! Hurry!"

"Understood, Lord North Corona! Roar—" Elarafate let out a dragon’s cry, and all the giant dragons dispersed immediately, flying in different directions.

"What then, what then? Great Ruler, you have to help me. If I lose the Abyss of World-Ending, the Lord will exile me to the most remote corner of the Boundless Space Hole, and I don’t want to be trapped in the nothingness until I die! You must help me!" North Corona said in panic.

"That won’t happen." The Great Ruler waved his hand dismissively. North Corona thought he was being reassured until he heard the Great Ruler say, "They don’t need the Boundless Space Hole to trap you to death. That’s reserved for dealing with ancient entities. It’d be too wasteful to use it on you; the Lord will just crush you directly."

"You..." Can’t you stop rubbing salt in his wounds at a time like this?

Frustrated as he was, North Corona understood that what the Great Ruler said could very well be true. The Lord might indeed outright kill him.

The Abyss of World-Ending didn’t have many functions and wasn’t used frequently. Its sole purpose was—to destroy planes.

A Prime Material Plane is incredibly vast. Destroying it isn’t easy. Even the Great Ruler might be able to crush every living being in a plane, but shattering the entire plane itself was beyond him.

The Abyss of World-Ending can. By accumulating enough energy, it can shatter an entire plane with one strike. What is this? It’s a weapon at a strategic level—now lost by him?

Good heavens, if they can’t recover it in time, North Corona might want to kill himself.

"Don’t panic. Who else in this void has the ability to move such a large array apart from you?" The Great Ruler asked.

"No one. If the Lord of Omniscience were still alive, with him as the core and the aid of thirty crystal dragons, moving the array would be possible. But he’s already dead," North Corona said thoughtfully.

The Great Ruler suddenly understood. "Oh, so that’s why you’ve been trying every conceivable means to revive the Lord of Omniscience. With one giant snake and those crystal dragons under your command, you could move the array anywhere."

"Exactly. That’s the plan. With that, I could haul it over to the Friel Empire and obliterate their plane into dust." North Corona said.

The Great Ruler paused, realizing it was quite an ingenious idea.

With just over forty crystal dragons and dozens of airships, the array could indeed be moved, but that would make the airships the weak link. No matter how fast the crystal dragons flew, their speed would be constrained by the airships.

Traveling from here to the Friel Empire would take months for the airships, whereas the crystal dragons could cover the distance in about twenty days. And even if they lost the battle, their higher speed would make retreat easier.

"Such a clever plan. Why didn’t you report this to the Lord earlier? With his help, the Lord of Omniscience might already be revived. You wouldn’t have needed to go through so much trouble." The Great Ruler said.

North Corona rolled his eyes. "If I told the Lord, the most I’d get is credit for a suggestion. But if I accomplished everything myself, dragged the array to the Friel Empire, set it up before their Prime Plane, and forced them to surrender before reporting to the Lord, that would be an achievement of erasing a nation. Why would I split the credit with you lot?"

The Great Ruler nodded knowingly. "Makes sense. I see now. And since the Abyss of World-Ending has disappeared, you alone will have to bear the Lord’s wrath."

"No, no, no, Great Ruler, I was wrong! Considering how long we’ve known each other, save me!" North Corona immediately plastered a fawning smile on his face, begging.

"You don’t need me to save you. All you have to do now is calm down, spread your forces to search. With their speed, dragging a plane, they definitely can’t outrun your crystal dragons." The Great Ruler said confidently.

But the Great Ruler’s confidence completely collapsed on the fifth day, because the array had already vanished without a trace.

...

"Such a fascinating method of movement—making oneself virtualized and then moving—that way, speed isn’t restricted by size or mass." Kram marveled in wonder.

This virtualized form of traversing was undoubtedly ultra-fast; not even the crystal dragons could catch up, nor could the Great Ruler himself, especially since they arrived a day late.

"Hahaha, well, only you oversized creatures can afford to use something like this." Negris muttered bitterly and begrudgingly.

Now he fully understood how much energy it had cost to free the Little Ghost from the Boundless Space Hole. This method of virtualized traversal, despite covering only ’a little’ distance for Kram, consumed enough energy to make him ache. The energy needed for Little Ghost to travel for over twenty years must be beyond imagination.

No wonder they used to say that even if the entire Chaos Plane exhausted its energy, it wouldn’t be enough to sustain Little Ghost’s twenty-year journey.

"Alright, alright. For now, we’re temporarily out of danger. Kram, are you a god?" Anthony redirected the topic to avoid endless lamenting and complaining.

He was curious about what kind of existence Kram truly was—whether he was a god like the Little Ghost or a plane consciousness as North Corona claimed. What was the difference between the two?

"No, I’m not a god. I’m the Spirit of the Earth, or as you humans would call it, a plane consciousness," Kram replied.
