Chapter 1465: Chapter 1026: The Plane Consciousness is Created by Me

The Goddess of Dawn, bound into a ball by chains, couldn’t see the outside world and kept her thoughts running wild. When she saw those bald priests, the Goddess of Dawn instantly understood what they were doing—creating Plane Consciousness.

She was very familiar with this task, as her God Status was a gift from a powerful Plane Consciousness, one that she herself had created.

But it was precisely because she was too familiar that the more frightened she became. Anything capable of breaking through her Wall of Dawn could likely include Plane Consciousness. After all, every barrier has its strength limit. If attacked with higher energy levels, no matter how firm the barrier, it wouldn’t hold.

Plane Consciousness is an existence that surpasses energy levels. Once it takes shape, it signifies the moment she will be crushed. What should she do? Would that man come back to save her?

If she had known earlier, she wouldn’t have run off with him. Staying in the Endless Cage at least meant she could keep her life, occasionally enjoying the private tidbits shared by her followers—it wasn’t such a bad existence.

In her regretful musings, the chains suddenly loosened and slowly began retreating to all sides, as if they were opening up.

The Goddess of Dawn’s heart tightened: Has it formed already?

To avoid being immediately flattened, as soon as the chains cracked a gap, the Goddess of Dawn cried out loudly, "Don’t kill me! I’ll go back to the Endless Cage! I don’t even know that man—I don’t recognize him! He tricked me into leaving—it’s not my..."

The chains split open, revealing ’that man’s’ face, followed by several other heads suspiciously poking around in the background.

The opened chains stopped moving. Anthony, his face stern, remarked, "Not familiar with me, huh? Well, alright then. Close them back up—we rescued the wrong person."

The chains started to slowly close again.

The Goddess of Dawn lunged forward, wedging the upper half of her body between the chains, awkwardly saying, "Misunderstanding! Misunderstanding! I meant I wasn’t familiar with that warden Samus, not with you. Aren’t we allies?"

"Are we really familiar? What’s my name?" Anthony questioned.

"Uh, aren’t you the Lord of Light’s priest?" the Goddess of Dawn asked in confusion.

"Yes, but do you know my name?" Anthony pressed.

The Goddess of Dawn wracked her brain. Did she ever ask this man his name when signing the alliance contract? At the time, her thoughts were entirely consumed by the Lord of Light, and she couldn’t recall if his name had been mentioned.

"See? We’re not familiar, are we? So now that I’ve risked my life to save you, shouldn’t you offer something in return?" Anthony suggested.

"Aren’t we allies? We signed a contract!" the Goddess of Dawn protested.

Anthony frowned and said, "It’s better if you don’t mention that—because you concealed your true condition back then. You didn’t have the ability to fulfill the contract at all. Now that I’m pulling you out, you have the capacity to uphold the contract—but this violates the principle of equivalent exchange. Either you sign a supplementary agreement to relinquish some of your rights, or I put you back where you came from."

Anthony pulled out a supplementary agreement.

The Goddess of Dawn glanced briefly at the agreement, filled with vague terms yet riddled with textual traps, and let out a sigh of relief. With exaggerated flourish, she engraved her mark, "Fine, fine, I’ll sign!"

The vagueness stemmed from the lofty, empty conditions, and the relief came from her misunderstanding of the hidden traps, such as the small, inconspicuous text at the bottom: "The right of interpretation belongs solely to the drafter of this agreement."

A few more agreements like this, and the Goddess of Dawn might as well sell herself entirely—but she remained blissfully unaware as she cheerfully crawled out of the cage of chains.

Durken walked over with the Demon Spirit Longsword in hand, pointing at the chains, and asked, "What are these chains made of? The material is so peculiar—I don’t even recognize it."

If the Demon Spirit Longsword had eyes, it would surely roll them right now: "I’m a sword, and you’re asking me what the material of a chain next to me is? How could I possibly know? If I knew, wouldn’t I be an Alchemist or a Forging Master? Ridiculous."

Durken sheathed the sword, grabbed a piece of lava stone, and crushed it into fragments. After solidifying, some parts of the lava appeared glass-like, and upon being shattered, resembled a mix of glass shards and gravel, with extremely high hardness.

Holding these fragments, Durken prepared to pour them into the sword sheath.

The Demon Spirit Longsword screamed in terror, "No! I don’t know, I really don’t know—please don’t! It’ll dull my edge!"

Despite its frantic shaking within the sheath, the Demon Spirit Longsword still couldn’t provide an answer, suggesting it genuinely had no idea.

Durken tossed the sword back to Anthony, feeling disdain for its lack of usefulness. Anthony casually passed it to Negris, who handed it off to Ange. Ange stared at it for a moment, unsure who to give it to next, and simply stuffed it inside Heaven’s Fortress alongside the Universal Pull Divine Hammer.

The Goddess of Dawn suddenly shivered, feeling a chill all over. The oscillating sharpness of the ultra-dimensional Demon Spirit blade had been rejected for failing to provide answers—would she also be abandoned if she couldn’t answer questions?

Durken pulled Samus aside and posed the same question.

Samus cooperated but smiled wryly and admitted, "I only guard the cage; I genuinely don’t know what this material is called. You can ask me anything else, but I really don’t have an answer for this."

The Goddess of Dawn hesitantly offered, "Uh... should I give it a try?"

"You know? A prisoner knowing what her cage is made of?" Durken examined her skeptically.

The Goddess of Dawn confidently declared, "Of course I know! These are Thought Chains, manifested by Plane Consciousness. They’re a form of spiritual substance, and every manifestation is unique, so it’s no wonder you don’t recognize it."

Negris and Anthony immediately grasped the concept: "Like Holy Light, right? Each type of Holy Light also possesses unique properties—for example, His Lordship’s Holy Light isn’t harmful to Undead."

"No wonder. Manifested spiritual substances are all uniquely peculiar and don’t conform to any known material properties—just like Your Majesty’s Death Scythe. Wow, what incredible stuff. I’m taking these chains—I don’t dare tamper with the Death Scythe, but these are just perfect." Durken exclaimed with satisfaction.

Ange waved his fingers, and the Little Flame circling around his hand drooped, reluctantly floating over and grabbing the chains, which were many hundreds of times its size. Gripping and pulling, the Little Flame somehow managed to coil them into a circle.

The chains were bundled and handed off to Durken, while the Little Flame, defeated, returned to Ange, floating on his fingertip like his hand was on fire.

The Goddess of Dawn gaped in astonishment, pointing at the Little Flame and exclaimed, "This... this... that... that flame..." It carried a familiar aura.

Anthony asked, "Plane Consciousness? Yep, we beat it up."

"What—what?! What kind of people are you, exactly? Are you really with the Lord of Light? Is the Lord of Light this powerful?" The Goddess of Dawn couldn’t help but begin doubting the true identity of Ange’s group.

"If we weren’t this powerful, why would we pretend to be him? Enough talk about that—since you seem to know this stuff, do you know how it came into being?" Anthony asked.

"Of course I do! The first Plane Consciousness was created by me. This God Status of mine—it was gifted to me by it." The Goddess of Dawn revealed.
