Chapter 1281: Chapter 844: The World Descending into Chaos is the Most Despairing Chapter 1281: Chapter 844: The World Descending into Chaos is the Most Despairing Ange fished out an Abyss Ball that was truly terrifying; it had been charged with Dark Element for two whole months. Furthermore, it wasn’t just a simple infusion; through repeated comparative experiments and ultimately, using the Holy Spirit Matrix, he extensively drained Dark Element from a vast area and channeled all of it into the ball.
Two months, a full two months, do you know how he spent those months? He filled it up while multitasking with his other pursuits.
Despite this, it still shocked Abyssal Big Mouth. At the time, it boasted about nearly matching its true form, but in reality, its true form couldn’t achieve such efficiency.
As a Primordial God, Big Mouth’s “Origin” lies in devouring; as a Primordial God, its avatar had to borrow the power of darkness, precisely because its Origin lacks combat prowess.
The Origin of Devouring, within the niche of Dark Element, was outmatched by Ange. It could only stoutly claim it was equally capable, even though there was no time to verify it.
This means that with a higher efficiency than Abyssal Big Mouth’s true form, Ange had infused it for two full months. Purely in terms of intensity, it had probably reached one-third of the strength of the Dark Energy Ball below.
Although it was only one-third, Ange’s ball was capable of exploding–terrifying indeed.
“What? It explodes?” Negris shuddered all over, summoning his Consciousness Body, which zipped far away instantly. Even Old Immortal was frightened to such a degree–should it truly explode, not even ashes of its small body would remain.
However, when it flew back, it discovered that Anthony hadn’t moved at all and was still in his original location. Behind Anthony lingered an indistinct shadow; it turns out, Lord Abyss, which had been hiding behind him, didn’t follow either.
Then Negris realized another problem–its true form was still on Ange. No matter how far it ran, it was futile. Now it was in trouble and could only pray that Ange had collected its true form into the space.
Pulling out the Abyss Ball, Ange didn’t throw it. Unenchanted Dark Element, if thrown in, would merely add energy to the New Dark Source. He held the Abyss Ball aloft in his palm, releasing a holy radiance that bathed the ball in Holy Light.
It was another lengthy process–the Dark Element inside the Abyss Ball was too abundant, and blessing them all required a considerable amount of time.
After pondering, Ange raised his hand towards the Abyss Ball and made a forceful grasping motion–Abyss Mystique.
Immediately, a powerful suction emerged in his palm, drawing out a portion of the Element within the Abyss Ball.
Little Angel swiftly flew over, extending her small hand towards the portion of the Dark Element and sizzling it. Seeing it was sufficiently ‘contaminated’, Ange forcefully flung his hand, transforming the Dark Element in his palm into a thick jet that struck towards the Dark Energy Ball.
“Ah!!!” A sorrowful roar came from the Energy Ball as New Dark Source burst out from it, charging towards the jet.
Boom! New Dark Source and the jet exploded together, descending in a chaotic flurry of Dark Element. The action by New Dark Source had no effect on the Holy Dark Element; instead, it shattered itself once again. Such an irrational reaction driven purely by despair was truly moving.
Negris, hands on hips, gloated, “Why do I feel like Ange acts more like the big villain? Is the one opposite really a Primordial God? It loses its sanity so easily?”
Abyssal Big Mouth was silent for a moment, then sighed deeply, “Regardless of what entity it is, when it is in despair, it is very easy to lose rationality.”
Anthony’s heart stirred, and he turned to ask, “Lord Abyss, have you ever felt despair?”
Abyssal Big Mouth sucked in air in a somewhat panicked manner, the light around it dimming at once–a detail that Anthony naturally caught. This was the second time Abyssal Big Mouth had lost control.
Perhaps because it was connected to the origin of the Abyss, whenever it lost control, it would subconsciously perform small acts of devouring. Anthony silently added this gesture to the character profile.
Abyssal Big Mouth squeezed out a faint smile, and calmly said, “Of course, the battle with you folks was very despairing for me, no matter what power I used, it seemed like your Lord had a slew of countermeasures waiting. I was quite despair.
Unfortunately, this composure from Abyssal Big Mouth was easily seen through by Anthony. He lowered his voice and pressed on, “Was there ever a time when even your true form felt despair?”
Enchantment could be a form of magic, but it could also be a form of psychological suggestion. Enchanting Demons have strong enchanting abilities, but those were magic, which couldn’t possibly affect Abyssal Big Mouth but would instead backlash fiercely–double or even dozens of times, considering the vast difference in levels.
Pink Hem never dared to use her enchantment on Anthony, even if she longed to strip Old God Stick with her gaze every time she saw him. She didn’t dare to use any power because backing Anthony was Ange–if she triggered a backlash, she would certainly die.
Besides Spirit Magic, there was another form of psychological suggestion that didn’t involve any power, through tone, language, and body movements combined with the environment, which could achieve similar effects to enchantment, revealing the other party’s psychological activities inadvertently.
For example, during times of sadness, a hug often breaks one’s defenses.
This type of psychological suggestion produced no psychic fluctuations and was unexpected, but the conditions for its application were stringent, often requiring the subject to be confused, fearful, or despondent to be effective.
Obviously, Abyssal Big Mouth was in such an extreme emotional state. When it heard Anthony’s words, it fell into some memories, its ‘breath’ involuntarily becoming chaotic before it finally spoke in a daze, “The world descending into chaos is the most despairing.”
Anthony’s heart jolted. Why did this statement sound so familiar? Where had he heard it before?
However, Anthony was a true master at hiding emotions. His facial expression didn’t change, maintaining a smile as he asked, “Oh? What does the world descending into chaos mean?”
“That means all matter and energy getting mixed together, disorderly, chaotic, passionate, and deathly silent, with no life forms or consciousness able to exist in such…”
Suddenly, Abyssal Big Mouth was shocked and quickly clamped its mouth shut.
Anthony felt somewhat regretful. The opportunity to see a Primordial God in extreme emotions wasn’t common. He had watched Abyssal Big Mouth being infuriated by Ange into hopping mad, but those were normal reactions without significant emotional fluctuation.
It was a rare chance, but unfortunately, he hadn’t drawn out much important information.
While Abyssal Big Mouth merely experienced emotional fluctuations, New Dark Source truly had a breakdown. After struggling for a while, the Dark Energy Ball suddenly stirred tumultuously.
Initially, it was calm, appearing like a perfect sphere indicative of hydrostatic equilibrium, but now, its surface kept bulging and sinking as if something was trying to burst out.
Others couldn’t tell, as they couldn’t differentiate between Dark Element and Holy Dark Element. However, Anthony spotted it immediately and shouted, “It’s stripping off the Holy Dark Element, discarding the blessed part? It’s about to fight desperately.”
Just like a thief burdened by two bags of Gold Coins becomes less encumbered when he drops one, it usually means he’s either desperate or planning to flee.
