Mira noticed Zamian still at her words and immediately regretted saying them.
"I... I—" she began, but Zamian cut her off.
"Sleep now," he said firmly, his tone leaving little room for argument.
"But I’m not feeling sleepy," she protested, her voice tinged with a mix of defiance and uncertainty. "You’re leaving tomorrow, and I don’t know when you’ll be back. Let me stay a little longer... besides, it’s still too early to sleep," she added, her voice softening, almost pleading.
Mira had spoken so freely that it made Zamian’s lips tug up slightly. She didn’t want to sleep; her heart ached at the way he had dodged her question. Even though she regretted asking, at least she had said it—she needed answers. But he had avoided it, leaving her feeling frustrated and disappointed.
Why had she even asked? Wasn’t she the one who wanted the contract to end so they could divorce? Yet now, it seemed like the tables had turned. It was Zamian who seemed to want the divorce so badly. The thought troubled her; she had wanted to escape this binding contract, yet here she was, clinging to moments with him, questioning her own desires.
Just then, Zamian slipped his hand under her loose gown, catching Mira completely off guard. Her eyes widened in surprise—she hadn’t expected him to do that. A rush of warmth flooded her senses as she realized with a jolt that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
"W-what are you doing?" she stuttered, her heart racing as a mix of surprise and excitement surged within her. The air between them thickened, charged with an unspoken tension that made her breath hitch.
"You said you weren’t feeling sleepy, right?" Zamian replied, a teasing note in his voice. "I might as well..."
He rested his arm gently on her tummy, giving it a soft caress. Mira felt a rush of conflicting emotions—confusion, longing, and a lingering desire that she had been trying to suppress. The moment felt charged with an intimacy she had never anticipated between them. Zamian’s touch was warm and possessive, stirring something deep within her that she couldn’t quite name.
As his hand moved lower, she felt her breath hitch in her throat. It was obvious that her tummy was beginning to grow due to the pregnancy. The reality of her situation hit her like a wave, mixing both excitement and apprehension. Zamian lowered his hand further, resting it between her legs, his fingers brushing against her soft skin.
"Seems you really wanted this," he spoke in a husky tone, his voice low and sultry as he slowly spread her legs apart.
"Ack..." The sound escaped Mira’s lips involuntarily as he pulled her closer, his body gently pressing against hers. Zamian thrust his finger into her with a slow pace at first, but as he continued, it quickly escalated into something more frantic and intense. Each thrust quickened, sending waves of pleasure coursing through her body, leaving her breathless.
Mira’s eyes rolled back as she felt herself losing control. She could hardly think as sensations overwhelmed her, each movement sending shivers down her spine. Zamian turned her to face him, wanting to see her reaction, wanting to drink in the pleasure reflected on her face.
With a gentle motion, he pushed the duvet aside, revealing her completely to him. He spread her legs wider, taking in the beauty of her form. Mira’s cheeks flushed as heat radiated through her, her vulnerability exposed before him.
"So beautiful," he murmured, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. His face lowered as he began to suck gently at her, his tongue teasing and exploring. The sensation was electric, igniting every nerve in her body. As he used his hands to thrust deeper, he made sure to be gentle, taking care not to overwhelm her despite the mounting intensity.
"Z...Zamian," was all she could manage to say, her voice barely above a whisper as she felt herself floating in a haze of ecstasy. She clung to him, desperate for more of the sensations he was creating within her.
Zamian watched her intently, fascinated by how her body responded to him. He was careful and deliberate, his movements filled with a mix of tenderness and passion. He wanted to savor this moment, to memorize the way she looked, the way she felt.
As the pleasure built, Mira felt herself teetering on the edge, completely lost in the moment. Zamian’s hands explored every inch of her, making her feel cherished and desired. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their cocoon of warmth and intimacy.
"Just relax," he whispered, his breath warm against her skin. "Let go."
With each thrust, each caress, she felt herself drawn closer to the precipice. The sensations became too intense to handle, each wave crashing over her like an unstoppable tide. Mira’s body responded instinctively, arching toward him as she surrendered to the pleasure.
Her mind was a whirlpool of thoughts, but amidst it all, one feeling stood out: the overwhelming need for him. As Zamian continued his ministrations, Mira felt herself spiraling into bliss, every sensation magnified and heightened.
And just as she thought she would lose herself completely, the world around her blurred, and she drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Before Zamian knew it, Mira was already asleep, her breathing soft and steady. He couldn’t help but watch her, feeling a strange mix of emotions swirling within him. As he gazed at her peaceful face, he noticed remnants of their earlier intimacy on his hands. He hesitated for a moment, then brought his fingers to his lips, tasting her essence.
A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he murmured to himself, "So early." The sight of her serene expression brought warmth to his heart, contrasting sharply with the turmoil of their earlier conversation.
Gently, he leaned closer, careful not to wake her. He cleaned her body, his movements tender as he took a moment to appreciate her vulnerability. Afterward, he reached for a soft sheet and draped it over her, ensuring she was warm and comfortable.
Zamian lingered for a moment, his heart swelling with an uncharacteristic tenderness. He found himself wishing he could bottle this moment—the quiet peace between them—even if just for a little while longer. In that instant, he realized how much he cared for her, and it made him question everything he had thought he wanted.
Mira woke up, her eyes surveying her surroundings. Just then, her eyes widened as last night’s memories came flooding back. Where was Zamian? Had he left? Panic surged within her as she immediately stood, not minding the sheets that fell away from her body.
She turned toward the bathroom when she heard the door open. There stood Zamian, his eyes slightly widening as he stared at her completely naked before him. A moment of silence stretched between them, filled with unspoken tension and vulnerability.
"Zamian!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. The shock of the moment hit her it was then she realized she was naked.
"Ahem," Zamian cleared his throat, causing Mira to step back as she grabbed the sheet to cover her body.
"I thought you left," she said, but then a thought hit her that made her freeze. Was she desperate? And if so, what was she desperate for?
Zamian’s voice broke her train of thought. "Of course not. I could not possibly leave without saying goodbye."
Mira’s eyes widened, and she felt her cheeks warm up. Embarrassed, she turned and began to walk toward the bathroom. Zamian let out a low laugh at her reaction, finding amusement in her sudden flustered behavior.

They both sat in the dining room, eating in silence. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, but Mira felt a tinge of sadness knowing he was leaving again. Once they finished their meal, Zamian stood up, and together they walked outside the mansion. The car was already parked, and the chauffeur opened the door for them.
Zamian paused and turned to Mira, handing her a card. "This is my number," he said, scratching his neck and looking away shyly. "Don’t hesitate to call when you’re free."
Mira’s eyes widened as she stared at the card. "You mean I can call anytime I’m less busy?"
She felt a wave of relief wash over her; at least he was being thoughtful. The card made her happy, knowing she had a way to communicate with him. It gave her a sense of comfort, as if their connection was still alive despite the distance that would soon separate them. She smiled softly, cherishing the moment as she realized how much she valued their time together.
Zamian nodded with a smile.
"Safe trip," Mira said, feeling a mix of emotions as Zamian turned to leave. Just as she thought he was about to walk away, he turned back to her. Before she could react, he gently pulled her close and pressed his lips against hers, catching her completely off guard.
