Chapter 125: Sweet Fight

"I am not doing this again," Marcella said fixing her clothes.

Tony was leaning on the back of the chair with his shirt popped open and crinkled. His fly was still open, his hair was messy, and his eyes were closed in an attempt to dwell in that amazing feeling for a little longer.

He looked angelic with that satisfied smile on his face.

Marcella shook her head with a sigh. He didn’t even listen to what she said.

After fixing her hair, she went out to have a look at the others. She didn’t want to be gone for a long time. She sat with Stella and talked to her for some time. Stella appreciated her cooking and that boosted her confidence.

"You are perfect for him," Stella said. "He is a good man and he deserves someone like you."

"Thank you," Marcella couldn’t help but grin with happiness.

"But you are enabling him too much," Stella said.

"Enabling him?" Marcella got curious.

Stella then told her that she was enabling the workaholic in him and she shouldn’t be okay with not going on a honeymoon. Stella also advised to not let him slack off from spending time with his family.

Marcella defended her position saying that he was already handling a lot and she wanted to give him a peaceful environment at home. Stella said that men would love peace in their life and if the wife doesn’t bring up anything, they would slack off. It might lead them astray and they might find excitement elsewhere.

Apparently, peace is good. Too much peace was not so good. There should be a balance and she should be open about her feelings even if it would cause a disturbance in peace. Otherwise, she would resent him in the long run and it would be entirely her fault.

"Concentrating on his career is good. But... Take the initiative and book a vacation in advance at least once a year," Stella said. "Tell him to make time for you. Because family time is important too. Your kids will need memories with their parents as they grow up. Vacations bring family together."

Marcella listened to some other words of wisdom from Stella. Stella’s advice was a little different from what she heard from her mother. But it also made sense as Stella too was married for a long time and she spoke from her experiences. She also knew Tony.

Marcella realized that in the end, no two marriages are the same since the people involved are different. There is no one great advice when it comes to marriage. Each should learn how to handle their marriage.

But Stella was right about one thing. She should be open with Tony about her misgivings. She should not build resentment in her heart. She already has one. She cannot let others add up on top of it.

She went back to Tony’s room. He had changed his clothes by then.

"What did Stella say?" he asked running a comb through his hair.

"I am wearing a torn pantyhose because of you," she glared at him. It wouldn’t be visible for others, but she could feel it and she felt awful as he looked perfect as always.

"Don’t remind me," Tony pressed his lips trying hard to stop himself from laughing as she sounded not so impressed.

Marcella scoffed. "It’s all fun and games for you, isn’t it?"

"What are you saying, Birdie?" Tony’s eyes widened as he feigned his bewilderment. "After you finished with me, I looked like I was r*ped! Thank goodness my wife kept some clean clothes for me in the office, otherwise~"

"You nasty man!" Marcella hit him. "You’re blaming me? You’re a nasty piece of work!"

He ran around the table and she chased him. After a while, she found herself getting giddy while he was only getting brisker. She got mad seeing him in high spirits after blaming her shamelessly but then seeing the smile on his face, she cooled down.

"I’m leaving," she said picking up her purse. "Slap me hard on my cheeks if I ever come to your office again," she puffed up her cheeks.

"Come on, Birdie. You know I won’t slap your cheek... " Tony held her hand and pulled her to his embrace. "You cannot stop coming here..."

Marcella leaned on his chest with a pout. She was not truly mad at him and she smiled as he tried to placate her. It was a nice feeling.

Just as she was relaxing in his embrace, his hands reached below her waist and held her cheeks down there.

"I love squeezing them..." he kissed her head.

Marcella looked up and glared at him.

"What is it?" Tony asked, still squeezing.

"You are very perverted, Tony. You have turned entirely different," she said with a pout.

Tony kissed her forehead and the furrow between her eyes went away. "Do you not like it, Birdie? You can tell me if you do not like it. I will control myself," he said.

Marcella noticed the stress on his neck as he spoke. Obviously, he was not happy he said those words. He was looking at her without evne blinking his eyes as if he was studying the change in her expressions.

He looked pitiful.

"I do not... not like it," she said and his lips curved up with glee and he lifted her.

"But I do not like it either," she added but that fell on deaf ears.

He placed her on his chair and Marcella could only sigh. He is ruling over her and she even liked it. What can she do other than to enjoy his shenanigans? She did have a good time with him. Why should she feel bad when both of them enjoyed their time together?

"I wanted to tell you something," he leaned on the table.

His eyes turned serious and Marcella observed him closely.

"Andrew Mellon is working with Paul Romano. They are planning something," he said.

Marcella observed Tony. After learning that Paul Romano might be responsible for her sister’s and Andrew’s death, Tony has been trying hard to find some proof but till now there is nothing that could be proven in the court of law. Tony tried to get him by other means but Paul has a tight security around him all the time. Nothing is getting past Mark Paulo as he acts as a loyal guardian.

Tony said that they can get Paul in other way by taking away his possessions. But Paul Romano is too smart. He has everything settled.

"Does Paul want to enter politics that much?" Marcella asked.

He wanted to have meeting with Hemmingway before she crashed their party and now Paul managed to get the support of the Mellon family. This is not good at all.

Paul will try to bring down Tony.
