Chapter 363: The Guys Were Going To Be Pissed

"You mean, I can really pick any room... and it’s going to be all mine?" asked Wang Chang Ming as he looked around the cabin.

As soon as our meeting was done yesterday, we had shipped out, wanting to get back to our own place as fast as possible.

Thanks to the grid that I had put down before we left the place, I knew that only a couple of deer had ventured close and a couple of squirrels had managed to get over the hedge of thorns. But that didn’t mean that I was willing to take the chance that someone else wouldn’t find my paradise on earth.

Especially when everyone was being sent out to look for their own homes.

While I didn’t like the idea of it, I was more than willing to kill to protect what was mine. And that went completely against my desire to protect people. So, instead of putting myself in a lose/lose situation, I would just avoid it by getting back to my cabin as soon as possible.

"Yup," smiled Si Dong as he pulled Chang Ming from Chang Bo Jing’s arms. "I think that Monk Daddy has even found a few toys from a toy store for you. So, you tell us where you want them, and we can set up a really cool race car track and build a whole city of Legos, and –"

"Okay, that is enough," sighed Rip, rubbing his forehead. "You are overwhelming the poor kid."

Turning to look at Chang Ming, he continued, "Don’t worry about anything. We’ll all go upstairs and look through all of the bedrooms. You can pick one as long as it isn’t the biggest room."

"Wait, that wasn’t what Mommy said; she said that I could pick any of them. Why can’t I have the biggest one possible?" Chang Ming said, his eyes going wide in protest.

I probably should not have said it quite that way. "The biggest room is for me and your Daddies. But there are another four rooms for you to pick."

"Fine," pouted the child, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"There is no point in getting upset until you see what is available," laughed Si Dong as he carried our son up the stairs. Putting him down on the landing, he nudged him forward. "Well? What are you waiting for? Have at it!"

I shook my head, the smile on my face never leaving. Turning toward the kitchen, I started to get a snack prepared for Chang Ming. I pulled out some of the yogurt and strawberries that Fan Teng Fei had in his space and took a bite of the fruit.

Its juices burst on my tongue as I fought back a moan. I had no idea where the fruit had come from, but it was, without a doubt, the best I ever had. When I asked, Fan Teng Fei only shrugged his shoulders, saying that when I had given him a top-up, it had expanded his space, allowing for things to be planted.

I had no idea what that meant, but since he was also raising a bunch of farm animals in it, I was willing to bet that his space was different from anyone else.

Humming to myself, I washed the barriers in the bottle of water I had originally stored in the cabin and pulled out a cutting board and knife. I remembered my dad once telling me that this place was so far out that we were on well water, but I wasn’t going to take the chance of using it until Si Dong had a moment to check it out and make sure that it was okay.

I washed one of the smaller bowls from the cabinet and then started slicing the strawberries into it. I would then top it with the yogurt and maybe even some granola if I could find any.

Hopefully, Chang Ming would like it. There was no way he would have had something like this before, and I was a bit worried about how he would react.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t even notice someone behind me.

Thinking that it was one of the guys, I continued cutting up the fruit, wanting the slices to be easy for the three-year-old to eat and not choke on.

It wasn’t until I heard the sound of a pen scratching on paper and realized the fact that no one was touching me that the ants on my arms finally decided to sound the warning bell.

Spinning around, my eyes widened as I looked at the stranger behind me. With his black hair and glasses, he was extremely attractive. He looked familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on how I knew him.

"Liu Hao Yu?" I asked, blinking rapidly. But no, that man had a red dragon tattoo on his neck the last time I saw him. Unless he managed to get it erased?

"No," replied the man lightly as he vanished the notepad he was writing on. "But it’s nice to know that the old man is still alive. I really thought he would have died a long time ago. Mores the pity."

"Hey!" I growled at him, pointing the knife at him, not realizing that I had it still in my hand. "Liu Hao Yu is a good friend. I suggest you leave before I call the guys down and they kick you out."

I had no idea how he managed to get in, and I had no idea how I wasn’t able to feel him cross my boundaries, but he was a stranger and he needed to leave.

"You’re right. I got distracted by the snack you were making, but we need to hurry up and leave," agreed the man amicably.

"We? There is no we. I am not going anywhere with you," I snarled, about to scream down the house. But before I could even take in a breath, his hand darted out and grabbed my arm before pulling me into total darkness.

Ah, shit. The guys were going to be pissed when they came downstairs and couldn’t find me.

Letting out a sigh, I waited for the darkness to fade, still feeling the man’s hand on my arm.
