Chapter 348: Human Swine

I watched as the Alpha’s cage swung back and forth with every move he made. He hadn’t quite learned how to manipulate himself around a cage, but that was normal.

I remained in the pit that Rip had dug me, not willing to get out of it, even if only to study my nightmare trapped by my hand.

"Let me out!" Alpha screamed as he tried to shake the bars. But the branches that his cage was made of were not so easy to move. "Please, let me out," he said again, this time sounding confused and scared.

"No," I replied, not giving a damn about his thoughts and feelings. It wasn’t like he had cared about me when I was at his mercy, so why would I care about him now that he was at mine.

The angel on my shoulder was pushing me toward being merciful. She continued to lay on the guilt trip, saying that this guy probably had a hard life, and that was why he turned out the way that he did. She said he was probably unloved as a child, and that was why he acted like he did. There was no way I wanted to stoop down to his level... right?

The devil on the other side simply stood there, her arms crossed in front of her as she listened to the angel with me. When the other side stopped talking, she merely raised an eyebrow and said nine words: ’he killed Rip and the rest of your guys.’

Sorry, angel, the devil’s got this one.

I stared at the face of the creature that changed my life completely and utterly. There were things that I might never get over, while others would fade over time. And you know what? That was completely fine.

A vine snaked down from the top of the cage, and Squirt leaped up onto it, surprising Alpha.

"What the fuck?!?" he demanded as the viper slithered out of the cage and back over to where I was.

"I think you have bigger things to worry about besides Squirt," I shrugged as the vine grabbed Alpha by the neck and pulled upward.

Instinctually, Alpha reached up and gripped the vine, only to have two more grab him by each wrist, pulling his arms apart. While he wasn’t able to relieve some of the pressure from his neck, the vines spreading his arms apart were able to take enough of his weight that he didn’t have to fear being strangled to death.

No, that was too easy of a death for him.

I wanted him to suffer.

I remember in the vision that I had what I had promised myself when I managed to escape the cage, and that was exactly what I was going to do.

Two more vines came out and grabbed his ankles, spreading him out in a star-shaped position. The bright green branches forced his hands and feet out of the cage, but I couldn’t bring myself to be worried.

He was well and truly caught.

"What is your plan?" Bai Long Qiang asked, jumping into the pit with me. He wrapped an arm around my waist as he stood behind me, and the two of us stared at the Alpha.

The rest of my men stood in a loose circle, admiring the bird’s cage that I had managed to create.

"Ever heard of a human swine?" I asked, cocking my head to the side like I was staring at a masterpiece.

"Interesting," nodded Bin An Sha, and he and Rip shared a smirk.

"I had read about it a few times," I admitted. "Normally those who were turned into one were reborn to right the wrongs made against them, but I don’t think I need to worry about that with Alpha."

"And for those of us who have no idea what that is?" asked Si Dong, leaning around the cage to look at me.

"Essentially, we cut out his tongue," I said just as a thin vine forced his lips open and entered the Alpha’s mouth. There was the sound of a scream that was abruptly cut off, and the vine retreated, carrying something pink.

After leaving the cage, it came over to me and placed the tongue on the ground in front of my pit. "Thank you," I said calmly, as if I did this every day. "Hei? Are you hungry?"

The crow appeared out of nowhere and swooped down, grabbing the organ before flying up into the rafters of the training hall. He flicked his head, sending the tongue up into the air before opening his mouth and letting it fall inside.

None of the men said a word.

"After removing the tongue," I continued, looking at the Alpha, who was glaring at me. Blood poured out of his mouth and down his chin, and as graphic as it was, I knew it wouldn’t last long. His healing ability would soon kick in, and the bleeding would stop.

I didn’t know if that meant he could regrow the thing, but that was neither here nor there. I could keep this going for a while. Every tongue that he regrew would be taken out and given to Hei. Over and over again until I died of old age.

I never went out to seek revenge. Even before the end of the world, I would grumble about something and then move on. Revenge always seemed like too much of an effort.

However, if you push me hard enough, well... I could be a vindictive bitch. And I could continue to be until I either lost interest or I died.

We’d see which one happened first.

"After removing the tongue, we need to remove his eyes and ears," I said, finally finishing my sentence. With every word I spoke, a vine did my bidding, and soon, Alpha was hanging limply from his bonds; his eyes, tongue, and ears were gone.

"Huh," mused Fan Teng Fei. "Interesting. I had read accounts of this happing to a concubine that pissed off an Empresses, but I never really thought about what it entailed. It definitely has a bloody factor to it."

"Well, a woman scored and all that," I shrugged, sending the vines to cut off Alpha’s nose.
