Chapter 345: The Beginning Of The End
Chapter 345: The Beginning Of The End
Our trip to the base seemed to take a lot less time than before, but maybe that was because I didn’t want to be here.
No. I had to stop bitching about it in my head. I had made a decision, and that was the end of it. If I put out any more negative thoughts into the universe then something negative was going to happen.
No. The guys had a plan. And while I might not know all the details, this was what they did. They went into hostile situations where they might not come out alive, and every time, they returned to me.
The vision was just that. A vision of a potential future. But it wouldn’t be our future. Today was the first day of the rest of my life, and I would make sure that Alpha suffered for what he did in my dream.
Feeling my bad bitch coming back and staying this time, I relaxed my shoulders and smiled at Rip.
"It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine," I joked, partially singing the words of my favorite song.
"Think of it more as the beginning of the end," suggested Bin An Sha. "The end of Alpha, the end of your fears, and the end of the unknown."
"Yeah, I like that," I nodded with a smile as I looked over at him.
Bin An Sha looked over his shoulder and smirked at me. "We got you."
-----
We gathered all of the dog tags just like we had in my vision and went into the same lobby area as we had in my vision.
Even the words were the same, sending shivers down my spine. When we all split up, they each came up and gave me a hug and a kiss before going off in three different directions.
"You coming?" asked Bai Long Qiang as he stood at the top of the stairs.
"Yeah, I’m coming," I replied, forcing myself to smile. It was the beginning of the end of Alpha.
Climbing up the stairs, I trailed behind my man. "You know I love you, right?" I asked softly. According to my vision, Alpha was out getting my cage set up, so I didn’t have to worry about him overhearing me.
"Yeah, almost as much as I love you," he replied, the smirk on his face reminding me of his 15 year old self.
"Always have to one-up me," I said, sticking out my tongue.
Bai Long Qiang chuckled low as he reached out to grab my hand. "No matter what I find in that office, no matter what I tell you. Please know that you are more important to me than anything."
I blinked at him, not sure what to say. "I don’t know what that note says, but I do have faith in your feelings for me. You and I will be okay. As long as we are alive, you and I will be okay."
Bai Long Qiang nodded his head and gave me a kiss on my lips. "Loving you, my moon and my stars."
"Loving you too," I replied. Letting out a sigh, I nodded my head, and Bai Long Qiang opened the door to the hallway.
-----
"You need to leave," said Bai Long Qinag suddenly as he looked up from the letter from his father. I had told him exactly what he had said to me in my vision, every word etched into my brain until the day I died.
"What?" I asked, pretending to be confused. I had stood here quietly, watching him read it over and over again, but I still had no idea what it said. But I was sure that Alpha was currently standing outside the door, listening to the conversation, so I wasn’t about to ask him.
Even knowing what was coming, his face turned pale when he first picked it up.
"Get the fuck out," growled Bai Long Qiang, a ferocious look crossing his face as his mouth twisted into a snarl. "Get the fuck out of this office now."
He took a step toward me, and I backed away. I wasn’t scared of him, even if he did have the same expression on his face as he had in my vision. This was all an act. And the better we did, the easier it would be to kill Alpha.
There was a look of anguish on his face as he looked away from me and toward the door. He was hating all of this just as much as I was. "Are you dumb? Is that why you look so confused? The six-year-old that spoke like eight languages can’t understand your mother tongue anymore? I said get the fuck out. I don’t want to see you right now."
I let the tears come to my eyes, knowing that if they weren’t red, the Alpha wouldn’t believe it was real. I was almost positive that the reason why he took me when Bai Long Qiang was so close was because he really felt that the man wouldn’t rush to my defense, even if I did manage to scream for him.
"I don’t want to hear it. Get out before I make you."
The look on his face as he said those words broke my heart. He looked completely broken.
I mouthed the words ’I love you’ to him to let him know how I truly felt before I turned around and ran out the door straight into the sold chest of the Alpha.
I felt his arms wrap around me, and I fought the urge to shudder in disgust. "Shhh, little birdy, the pain won’t last long."
And just like in my vision, I lost consciousness, praying that the guys knew what they were doing.
----
"Dare I ask?" asked Si Dong as he finished putting the last bomb under the practice mats. They couldn’t be sure which room was in Wang Tian Mu’s vision, so each group of men took a different one and prepared a bunch of booby traps for the Alpha.
Rip only grunted as he continued to pound into the floor. "She isn’t going to be comfortable until she has access to her powers," he explained as he finally made it through the solid concrete floor. His hand was covered in dirt and blood, but he couldn’t be happier. "Now, she has access."
