Chapter 343: Did Something Happened

The atmosphere inside of the hotel bathroom became tense and I could feel everyone turning their attention to Bai Long Qiang.

Part of me felt bad like I was ratting him out, but I knew that if I didn’t tell them exactly what happened, then it was just going to happen all over again.

"I would have gone straight to my father’s office," grunted Bai Long Qiang, ignoring the guys, and I could feel him staring at me.

Even Ye Yao Zu, in front of me, was staring at him.

"You did, and I followed," I agreed. "When we opened the door, we found his body and a note from him."

"What did it say?" asked Bai Long Qiang. He didn’t seem to care that much that we had found his father dead. His reaction was completely different than before. Was it because he didn’t see it in person?

"I have no idea. You asked me to leave to give you some privacy, and I turned around and left." My voice caught as I still remembered the feeling of being in Alpha’s arms as he caught me outside of that office.

Rip let out a low growl that was echoed by a few of the other guys.

"Was that how Alpha got a hold of you?" asked Ye Yao Zu, his attention turning back to me.

"Yes. He knocked me out, and when I woke up, he had put me in a dog cage and hung me from the ceiling of a weird room."

"Can you describe it for me?" Fan Teng Fei asked softly. I wanted to turn around to look at him, but I still felt so breakable—like one wrong move would shatter me like glass.

"Empty, padded floors. One of the doors to the side had access to the outside," I answered, trying my best to remember. But all I could see was their dead bodies... and bloody footsteps.

Fuck, how long was it going to take me to get over this incident now?

"Sounds like one of the training rooms," grunted Si Dong, his voice changing.

The atmosphere shifted once again, but this time, the ants on my arms came out in full force.

"Nope," I replied, so frigging happy that I could feel them again. Maybe that was how I could tell what was real and what was not. Ants made everything real. No ants, and it was nothing more than a vision. "Whatever it is that you are thinking, it is an absolute no for me."

"Firefly," murmured Bin An Sha from wherever he stood. "I understand that whatever you saw was absolutely devastating for you, but we need to eliminate this threat. We are supposed to be starting all over again, right? We can’t do that if Alpha is still hunting you."

"He ate healers," I blurted out. Why couldn’t they understand that, in my vision, they hadn’t stood a chance? "He because stronger, faster, more... human. He ripped Rip’s head off for fucks sake. Do you really think Rip would just let that happen? He..."

As flashes of them dying entered my brain, I let go of my hold on Ye Yao Zu and threw up again.

No, I couldn’t handle that happening in real life. Or in this life. Or whatever this was. I had my men back.

If Alpha wanted this city, then he was more than welcome to it. We could restart anywhere in the world; as long as we were together, nothing else mattered.

"He what?" asked Cheng Bo Jing.

"You five came in all at the same time and he ran into the middle of you all and just started ripping. I got to watch your limbs being tossed around the room when I hung helplessly from a cage. Do you have any idea what that did to me?!?"

But this time, I was screaming, but I couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t let them make the same mistake a second time.

"I can only imagine," grunted Rip. "But Bin An Sha is right. The threat needs to be eliminated. Now that we know what happened, we can plan a trap for him."

"What happened to you?" Bai Long Qiang asked, gently moving Ye Yao Zu aside so that he could face me.

"I killed myself," I answered, staring him in the eyes so that he knew how serious I was. "He offered me your heart, and I banged my head against the bars of my cage until I woke up. I refused to live without you. Any of you."

Bai Long Qiang leaned forward until he could kiss me gently on the forehead. Closing my eyes, I didn’t remember Rip’s head, but rather the first time he had kissed me like that.

"I love you," I murmured, swallowing back my tears.

"And I love you more than life itself. Which is why we are going to do what your vision showed you. But instead of Alpha having the upper hand, we are going to kill him instead," he assured me.

"How?" I demanded. It wasn’t that I doubted him, but I really couldn’t go through all of that again. "We didn’t stand a chance in my vision. How are you going to kill him?"

"We aren’t," smiled Rip as he moved my hair and looked down at me. "You are."

I blinked at him rapidly. I couldn’t even move right now, just what was his plan?

"Trust us?" asked Cheng Bo Jing.

"Always," I sighed. Taking in a deep breath, I lifted my head just enough to be able to close the seat cover and flush the toilet. "But first, I am going to need to spend some much time connecting with nature."

Hu Wen Cheng and Zhao Jun Jie sat in one of the conference rooms on the main floor of the hotel. They had arranged a meeting with Wang Tian Mu and the others in order to figure out what their next step should have been.

However, they had been waiting for over an hour, and still, no one showed.

"Do you think something happened?" asked Zhao Jun Jie as he rocked from side to side. Xi Feng was strapped to his chest, sleeping, and he wanted to keep it that way.

As much as she was a dream of a baby, it wasn’t easy juggling her and work at the same time.
