Chapter 94: Puppet Show.

’Keep it cool." Tristan warned through their mind link as Samuel walked closer to the porch with a laptop bag.

They watched him come into the sitting room and shut the door behind him, standing obediently by it.

"Good evening, Sirs." He greeted with an automated voice. "May I proceed?" He asked, not waiting for any responses.

"You may." Troy said, while Theo had his eyes focused on his phone screen, typing with very high concentration.

He was seeking for every form of information on Samuel they could use or capitalize on if it ever came down to threatening him, but was coming up with nothing.

He really needed his laptop but there was no way in hell he was going to leave the guy who had willingly put him and his mate in danger, so he decided to text one of his most trusted friends from college, who luckily was a werewolf and an extraordinary techie like him.

’Bud. I need your help. Right now. Look up this name, and text me all there is to know about him. Samuel Davidson.’ He typed rereading it for a second before pressing send.

Seeing that Theo was done typing, Samuel began talking.

"It was a gang ambush, not just a bunch of hoodlums. And the gang’s name is Ricardi. They are a bunch of Italian strays." He clipped, his face stoic.

"So we left the place because of a bunch of Italian strays?" Theo asked with furrowed eyebrows. "You and your team could have taken them out easily." He pointed.

"Yes, Sir. We could. But they weren’t people who could be reasoned with." Samuel said, wanting to explain further but Tristan cut him off.

"What do you mean they weren’t people to be reasoned with?" He asked, his eyes boring into Samuel’s skull.

"Sir, they were acting like people who had completely lost it. Even security couldn’t stop them." Samuel tried to explain, but honestly it wasn’t necessary anymore because Theo was already reading through his buddy’s response, his jaw clenching with every line he read.

"And your people? That’s what they were hired for. Those strays shouldn’t have made it into the building in the first place so how did they do it?" Troy said, the annoyance in him bubbling up with every passing minute.

"Sir-" Samuel wanted to talk, his formerly stoic, unshakable demeanor crashing by the second, but was interrupted by Theo.

"So.." Theo drawled, going to where the young man stood, pulling his hand so he sat on the lone couch facing his other brothers, then went to stand behind him. "Is that all you really know, Samuel?" He asked.

"You’re holding back information, Samuel. You should know us very well to know you could be dead man for that." Tristan bellowed nonchalantly, his eyes on magazine on his thigh.

"Sir, I swear I have nothing to do with them." Samuel argued, his voice a bit solemn.

"No one said you did." Troy bellowed darkly.

Theo couldn’t help but chuckle at his response. He was never going understand why people always found it hard to read rooms and situations, therefore dragging out situations that could be over in seconds.

It annoyed him greatly, but if the young man wasn’t willing to be compliant yet, he’d make sure they dragged it farther than he could imagine.

"Fine." Tristan said, leaning back into his seat. "Tell us what you have, Brother." He said, calling on Theo.

"Gladly, Brother." Theo said, a comical sinister smile gracing his lips, sending shivers through Bethany’s spine.

’There he was. The executioner.’ She thought in recognition.

"You sure you do not know anything, Samuel? You know how merciless he can get." Troy warned, hoping Samuel was just going to spill his damn sins and save them the trouble of having to watch Theo get the answers from their culprit at a torturously slow pace.

Samuel’s lips trembled lightly as he thought of Troy’s statements, but as a stubborn prideful man he was, he shut his lips tightly; he had a vision, and wasn’t going to let a little bit of torture weaken his resolve.

"Brother." Theo drawled. "Don’t go soft in him now." He said frowning.

’ I’m not. Just not sure I can wait for you to torture him slowly when all I want is to twist his fucking neck off his useless body.’ Troy replied through the link. He could feel Theo’s amusement seep into his head, irking him.

’Be patient, Brother. Good things come to those who wait.’ Theo said, looking down at Samuel like a very sneaky rabbit he’d finally caught after hours of searching in the woods.

"Samuel here has been a really busy man." Theo started. "Should I tell them what you’ve been up to, Samuel?" He whispered in a very soft tone.

Samuel jaw tightened as his hand clenched and unclenched over his now bobbing knee, sweat breaking on his forehead.

Troy had to admit that in as much he wasn’t one for theatrics during torture or questioning, watching him squirm helplessly and stupidly before them was fucking satisfying.

He couldn’t help but notice how much harm pride and stupidity could do to a man. It was sad, but people had to learn either way, and Samuel sadly was just going to have to learn the hardest way possible and with the worst teacher ever lived.

"Samuel here," Theo said, placing his arm heavily on the man’s shoulder, squeezing down so hard he couldn’t help but try to pry his shoulder away from Theo’s grip but stopped upon receiving a heavy death glare from Tristan. "Wanted to climb the ranks fast, so he called in his old friends to aid him." He said in an excited tone.

"Isn’t that innovative? I almost bought it!" He said coming before Samuel.

"You set up a puppet show, and decided that of all people to use as your puppets, your Alphas would be most suitable, isn’t that it, Samuel Davidson?" Theo asked in a grave tone, letting the weight of his words settle the young man, before grabbing that same shoulder again, letting his claws dig into his flesh.

Samuel couldn’t help but release a loud groan, attempting to run, but Theo’s claws that were embedded into his flesh didn’t let him.

"You have absolutely nowhere to run to now, Samuel." Theo bellowed. "We would be your puppet masters from here onwards."
