Chapter 1370: Chapter 1370: Did You Have a Girlfriend Before?
"What do we do later?" Sylvan Cheney asked knowingly.
"You’re so bad." Jasmine Yale’s face turned red, her eyes shone with a flickering light, dazzling like stars.
Sylvan Cheney hooked his lips into a smile.
On the way, he didn’t let her down but carried her on his back to the Cheney Residence.
Jasmine Yale chattered non-stop, "Sylvan Cheney, Butler Santana once said during New Year’s that you were alone at home. From now on, I will stay with you. We haven’t spent New Year’s together for five years now..."
"When I was 18, I thought someday you’d marry and have children, and then you wouldn’t need me anymore, I wouldn’t be able to celebrate your birthday or New Year’s or eat meals with you."
"You have no idea, I was sad for a very long time during that period, always fearing that as soon as dawn broke, you wouldn’t want me anymore. Or, I always feared that as soon as dawn broke, you’d introduce me to a pretty girl, calling her your girlfriend."
Sylvan Cheney hooked his lips again: "No wonder your grades dropped significantly during that time."
"Yes, my grades plummeted terribly, it was a vicious cycle, and you scolded me a few times for it. Once, you were so angry that you tore up my exam paper, and that time I scored almost last in class."
"Still have the nerve to mention that?" Sylvan Cheney’s tone was full of disdain.
"It’s not my fault, I was truly anxious during that time. You wouldn’t know, but I was afraid that someday after school, I’d come home to find a strange, beautiful girl, and then you’d tell me—Jasmine Yale, you should leave the Cheney Residence."
"Always thinking about ridiculous stuff," Sylvan Cheney hooked his lips again.
"My grades were slipping, and you scolded me; you even suspected that I was dating someone, which caused my grades to drop. Dating, with whom? The men at home watched me like wolves, how could I date? If I really dated, they’d tear me apart."
"Calling who a wolf? Hmm?"
Jasmine Yale suddenly laughed, blew in his ear, and nibit his earlobe unabashedly laughing, "I’m talking about you."
"Stop moving."
"Mmm, I’m not moving." Jasmine Yale calmed down.
She really shouldn’t tease him on the side of the road.
That could lead to unintended consequences.
"Sylvan Cheney, do you think it’s easy for me? Not only do I need to study hard, but I also have to keep guard, afraid that you might bring a girl home. Thankfully, you haven’t, or do you actually like me?"
"What do I like about you? Like your small chest and flat butt? Huh?"
"You!!!" Jasmine Yale bristled.
What kind of thing is that to say!
"You tell me honestly, have you ever had a girlfriend? Tell me honestly." This was the first time Jasmine Yale boldly asked him this.
In the past, she was like a sheep in front of him, intensely scared.
But this time, her courage had grown significantly, larger than ever.
What good does being timid do? Being timid only hurts oneself and could lead to losing him.
Sylvan Cheney: "..."
"I can tell you very clearly, I have never had a boyfriend, except for you." Jasmine Yale declared confidently.
Sylvan Cheney: "..."
"Do you? Tell me, did you ever have a girlfriend before?"
"No." Sylvan Cheney furrowed his brows, finally answering this annoying creature.
Jasmine Yale was very satisfied with his answer, she guessed as much.
During those years, he was completely dedicated to the Cheney Family, where would he have any other time.
Now that she was satisfied, she felt even more contented in her heart, couldn’t help rubbing against Sylvan Cheney, nestling her little head in his warm neck.
The wind blew, not cold.
Rather, it was warm and comforting.
