Chapter 1356: Chapter 1356: How Many Times Have I Confessed to Him
Jasmine Yale asked him questions, and he indeed would answer.
But, he never talked much or initiated conversation with her.
"Are you very busy?" she asked.
"Alright."
"I haven’t been to the Cheney Family business for a long time. Take me there this afternoon. I’m idle at home anyway," said Jasmine Yale casually.
"Stop messing around."
"I’m not messing with you, I just want to go out for a walk."
"Jasmine Yale, tone down your temper, or I’ll send you away anytime."
Jasmine Yale was yelled at by him, feeling aggrieved with tears swirling in her eyes, her face full of hurt.
"I’ve never met a man who angers me as much as you do," Jasmine Yale said indifferently, "Maybe it’s because I have no shame, always being chased away by you yet sticking to you like a mangy dog, staying at the Cheney Residence."
"Have I chased you away?"
"..."
"Since I haven’t, why the grievances? Staying at my place, eating my food, wearing my clothes, and I can’t even say a word? Huh?"
"I’m not wearing your clothes; I bought them myself."
Sylvan Cheney: "..."
He knew he had no way of dealing with her.
Even so, Jasmine Yale was still a bit angry, she glanced at the table: "I want to drink soup, you serve me."
"Serve yourself. Do you expect me to indulge you?"
"If you don’t serve me, then I won’t drink."
"Jasmine Yale!"
She didn’t make a sound, sulking, and bowing her head picking at the white rice in her bowl.
It had been a long time since she ate the white rice from the Cheney Residence, and a long time since she had a meal with him at the same table.
This feeling, like an unsealed brand, was suddenly exposed.
Butler Santana made corn rib soup today, her favorite, and probably he instructed Butler Santana to make it.
She ate the white rice, bite by bite.
Suddenly, with a "slap", a bowl full of soup was placed in front of her, brimming with soup and a lot of ribs in it.
"Drink it up!" Sylvan Cheney said with a cold face.
Jasmine Yale was secretly delighted.
Saying he wouldn’t serve her, but still, he couldn’t follow through.
Jasmine Yale was satisfied, eating and drinking soup.
"Do you like having meals with me?" Jasmine Yale suddenly asked.
"Do you like talking to me?"
"Do you like walking with me?"
"..." Sylvan Cheney’s face darkened, "Isn’t that annoying?"
"It’s okay if you don’t answer me. You can ask yourself in your heart. If you do like it, it can only mean one thing," Jasmine Yale pretended to be mysterious, leaning her little face toward him, "You like me."
"Like someone is just like that. You like to see them smile, see them frown, enjoy talking to them, sharing meals, even just sitting together is a joy," Jasmine Yale continued.
"Just like now, I’m joyful," Jasmine Yale lowered her head, blushing slightly.
These days, she did not know how many times she had confessed to him.
Explicitly or implicitly, she felt her intent was very clear.
Being with Sylvan Cheney truly didn’t feel much like dating, he likely doesn’t even care.
But deep down, she still held some expectations.
But if not, she wouldn’t insist; having him by her side was enough.
Sylvan Cheney’s hand holding the chopsticks paused slightly, he didn’t say anything, only feeding her a piece of eggplant.
Jasmine Yale choked for a moment, her eyes curving into crescents, smiling as she ate.
After finishing, she laughed and said, "You also feed me."
"After eating, you won’t talk as much."
"..." Jasmine Yale rolled her eyes at him.
