Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 1293: Delivering the Wedding Dress

Chapter 1293: Chapter 1293: Delivering the Wedding Dress

Sylvan Cheney, fresh out of the shower and dressed only in a black loungewear, still exuded an undiminished aura of icy sternness.

"You should have received one too," Joe Heath pulled out an invitation from his pocket, "The eighth of next month, such a perfect day."

Joe tossed the invitation to Sylvan Cheney.

The bright red invitation landed squarely on top of Sylvan’s notebook.

"I was thinking of discussing with elder brother what gift to give our sister. A ring doesn’t seem to express true feelings, how about, maybe, a wedding dress. Elder brother, what do you think?" Joe spoke with deliberate slowness.

"As an older brother whose sister is getting married, I certainly can’t leave her feeling shortchanged. Especially you, elder brother, who have known Jasmine for so long, surely have to make a gesture of your sentiment. Here I am, all by myself at home, unable to come up with anything, so I came to discuss it with you."

Sylvan’s gaze fell on the invitation, a restrained gloss in his eyes.

His expression unchanged, he merely lifted his gaze coldly to look at Joe Heath.

"Elder brother, a wedding dress, I think that’s the best. Jasmine wearing a wedding dress given by her brother to get married, it just seems so perfect no matter how you think about it. We are her family, after all..."

Joe paid no heed to Sylvan’s darkening expression and continued talking.

"I’ve specially had several designs made, elder brother, take a look at the sketches, which one do you like?"

Saying this, Joe turned on his phone and scrolled to the pictures of wedding dresses.

"This off-shoulder one, this mermaid-style one, and this one..."

The atmosphere all around was severely oppressive.

In the entire living room, only Joe Heath’s voice could be heard.

He kept introducing them to Sylvan with exceptional enthusiasm.

"This one is my favorite, elder brother, you have to trust my judgement, working in the entertainment industry, I definitely have a better eye than you," Joe said with confidence.

Fire flared up at the bottom of Sylvan’s eyes; with a slight turn of his head, a frosty beam fell on Joe Heath’s face.

"Have you said enough?"

"Eh..." Joe’s hand paused, "No."

"Get out, and don’t come back to the Cheney Residence! If I see you again, I’ll break your legs."

"No, elder brother, I came with good intentions to discuss with you, is that really necessary? What did I say wrong?" Joe put on an innocent face.

Pretending not to be scared was a lie.

Joe wasn’t afraid of his dad, nor his mom, but held some fear for this elder brother.

Even a wounded tiger could be fiercely formidable.

Despite looking pale and haggard, Sylvan’s presence was enough to intimidate him.

"Are you going to leave or not?"

"Not... wait, let me finish..." Joe shifted back, "Elder brother, are you going to Cakago next month? Jasmine would really love to see her family..."

Sylvan picked up a cup from the coffee table and threw it at Joe, without any regard for the force used!

"Clang!"

Joe quickly ducked, and the cup shattered on the floor!

"Cough, cough." Sylvan’s face was pale, his eyes, red with anger, fixed on him.

"Shit!" Joe was so scared he patted his chest.

Was that throw meant to kill him?

Such a vicious move?

But Joe felt there was a certain skill in being able to rile up Sylvan Cheney like this.

This man, usually so calm, never showing his emotions, always keeping a low profile.

Rarely was there someone or something that could affect him.

Joe now saw it clearly.

"Elder brother, let’s talk this out, what are you angry about? I don’t think... I did anything wrong," Joe said, looking completely innocent.

"Butler Santana, get him out!"
