Chapter 1268: Chapter 1268: You Were Raised by Mr. Cheney

Chale Cheney acted like a little adult, holding Jasmine Yale’s hand as they walked step by step toward the house.

The living room was warm and cozy, and Jasmine felt the temperature difference from outside as soon as she entered.

"I like it here, but I like Landon more," Chale said as he pulled her to sit on the sofa.

Uncle Fand immediately brought them tea and snacks.

"Little Master, I really didn’t expect you to return. It’s been a long time since you and Mr. Cheney visited, two years, right? I thought you might not come back..."

"We will," Chale said earnestly.

"Good, good, it’s nice to come back often. We clean the estate every day; it’s ready for you to stay."

"Jasy, shall we sleep here tonight? I kind of miss this place," Chale sought her opinion.

Jasmine looked around curiously; the place was exquisitely decorated with a heavy European style, luxurious yet not ostentatious—it was Sylvan Cheney’s style.

She nodded, "Okay, let’s sleep here."

"That’s Dad’s room!" Chale pointed to a particular floor on the second story. "My nursery is next door."

"I don’t know about when I was little, but everyone says Dad raised me, and he was so good to me," Chale babbled on, "so even now that he’s left me behind, I can’t hate him."

When Chale spoke, his eyes sparkled with a bright luster, like the stars in the sky.

Jasmine followed his pointing finger with her gaze.

Everything was exquisitely crafted.

The bedroom doors were tightly shut.

Had she inadvertently opened up the three years that belonged to him?

"Little Master is right, Mr. Cheney raised you, and he was very good to you," Uncle Fand said with a smile. "He personally took care of everything you ate and used."

"He was so good to me, and I still can’t hate him now," Chale said, aggrieved. "He’s not with me anymore."

He was left alone in Lonton.

Jasmine looked at everything here with great curiosity.

"Little Master, Mr. Cheney is very busy," Uncle Fand said with a smile. "Stay here; you can stay as many days as you want, and we have servants. It’s very safe here too..."

"I have to ask Jasy," Chale looked up at Jasmine with his little face.

Jasmine nodded, "That’s fine."

To her, this place was a novel existence.

"I can show you around," Uncle Fand offered.

"Uncle Fand, you show Jasy around; it’s her first time here."

"Okay, okay," Uncle Fand nodded. "How should I address you?"

"My surname is Ye, Jasmine Yale."

Uncle Fand paused for a moment, then said politely, "Miss Yale, nice to meet you."

Jasmine followed Uncle Fand deeper from the living room.

The estate was very large, even bigger than the Cheney Residence, with a swimming pool, golf course, gym, home theater... everything looked brand new.

Especially from the balcony, the view was beautiful and the surroundings conducive to living.

In the distance, there were hazy smoke and trees, and nearby, flowers and plants.

"Miss Yale, this place is the corridor, where you can walk and enjoy the view at the same time," Uncle Fand explained as they walked.

Jasmine walked beside him.

"This area is mainly residential. There are many rooms in the estate. If you fancy any, I’ll have someone clean it up," Uncle Fand said. "Miss Yale, you’ve known Mr. Cheney for a long time, haven’t you?"

"Why do you ask?"

"I’ve heard Miss Yale’s name before, of course unintentionally."

"Hmm?" Jasmine was curious; had he really heard her name before?
