Ann Nolan sent an anonymous text message to Harper Glorian from the restroom.

If she hadn’t felt utterly disheartened, no woman would want to push her husband towards someone else.

She no longer harbored any thoughts or fantasies towards Zaiden Santos; she was no longer a little girl, she still had her rationality.

The text message contained a mere few digits: "Zaiden Santos has returned to Landon."

Having sent the message, she tidied away her phone, stood in front of the mirror to tidy her hair and clothes, and touched up her makeup.

Due to the alcohol, her complexion was rosy, and a faint mist of water seemed to hover beneath her eyes, making her look less stubborn and more gentle.

She put on her bag and went out to look for Zachary Santos.

Zachary Santos’s driver had already parked the car outside the hotel; the sun shone brightly outside, and a man in a black suit leaned casually against the back seat, his features handsome and his expression tender.

He rested his head in his hand as he waited for Ann Nolan, rubbing his temples.

Ann got into the car, and he raised his head, smiling, "You’re here; how are you feeling? Okay?"

"Thank you, CEO Santos, for covering for me quite a bit at the table. I’m fine, no problem." Ann smiled back, "Just a bit sleepy. You must be tired too."

At the lunch banquet, Zachary Santos had gallantly shielded her from drinking too much; otherwise, she would definitely be heavily intoxicated by now.

She knew that Zachary Santos had also drunk quite a bit.

"You insisted on coming this afternoon when I told you not to." Zachary Santos said with a smile, "If even a subordinate can be so diligent, of course, I also had to come."

The driver started the vehicle.

Zachary Santos handed her a tote bag, pale pink with a bow tied at the opening, simple and charming, in very soft colors and style.

"You’ve worked hard this morning; this is a gift for you." He passed the tote bag to her.

Ann quickly refused, "CEO Santos, this is my duty, it’s not about being hardworking."

"Accept this gift. Inside is a dress for the evening banquet, although I’m not sure if you’ll like it."

"CEO Santos, I really can’t accept this; all of these are my job responsibilities." Ann was clearly in discomfort.

Ann, helpless, was unable to argue with Zachary Santos.

Ann was aware that all the gowns in her wardrobe were from previous years, and she hadn’t purchased a decent evening gown this year.

The car continued on from the hotel, and Zachary Santos first dropped Ann off at her apartment, watching her safely go upstairs before he returned to his own place.
