Chapter 1188: Chapter 1188: Getting Emotional When Seeing a Woman

"CEO Santos, CEO Santos, how many times have you mentioned his name now? Have you forgotten you have a husband?" Zaiden Santos raised his voice, his eyes red with anger, "I haven’t been home for days, have you even thought of me at all?!"

"Why should I think of you?" Ann Nolan looked at him blankly.

Getting angry for no reason.

Why should she think of him? It was really strange.

He was flirting with Harper Glorian, and she was supposed to think about him? Was she supposed to watch them as if they were putting on a show?

That was actually kind of funny.

Ann truly didn’t know whether it was she who was drunk or if he was.

Zaiden had a lump in his throat that he couldn’t swallow or spit out.

Suddenly, a "thump, thump, thump" came from the door, along with voices saying, "Weird, the restroom door is broken."

"Forget it, let’s go."

"Yeah, let’s find another restroom."

Ann felt a tug at her heart, relieved that the people at the door soon left.

She tried to break free from Zaiden’s grasp, "I need to go now, I’ve been in the restroom too long."

"What for?"

"To work! Don’t you work? Zaiden Santos, you’re really strange!" Ann said irritably.

"You haven’t answered me yet, will you come back to Santos Mansion tonight? Cough, cough..." Zaiden started coughing again, his complexion looking poor.

"The banquet ends around ten, I won’t have time to come back."

"What about tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow the office is really busy, I won’t come back either. Besides, Santos Mansion is too far from here, and I haven’t driven my car in a long while, I don’t feel like driving."

"I’ll come pick you up tonight," Zaiden said, half threatening, half commanding.

Ann knew she couldn’t confront him head-on. He always did what he said, without considering her feelings.

"Mr. Santos, you haven’t been in Landon lately?" Ann suddenly asked.

"Mhm."

"Then where did you come from today?"

"Why do you ask? I just rushed back from the neighboring city," Zaiden frowned.

"Never mind, you can come pick me up tonight if you want."

Zaiden’s frown deepened, he hardly believed Ann’s sudden change, his deep gaze sweeping over her face.

Her face looked intoxicated, her eyes had a hazy glow, devoid of much emotion.

He looked at her, and she looked back at him.

The restroom was enveloped in silence.

"Ann, don’t get too close to Zachary Santos," Zaiden warned her again.

"Mr. Santos, you’re being ridiculous. CEO Santos is the president, and I’m his secretary, it’s natural for us to work closely."

"You really have no shame."

"Zaiden Santos, if we can’t even have basic trust, is there room for a fair conversation between us? If that’s the case, please leave, I don’t want to see you anymore," Ann sneered.

No shame... he could actually say that.

Shameless, invincible.

Undoubtedly, Zaiden Santos had reached that invincible state.

They argued every time they met, why bother meeting at all? Didn’t he understand that himself?

Even though Ann was somewhat drunk, her thoughts were still clear. It was only when looking at Zaiden Santos did things seem blurry, unable to make out his features clearly.

"You have no feelings for Zachary Santos?" Zaiden wouldn’t let her off.

His sharp eyes locked onto her face, trying to discern any expression.

Ann held her forehead, rubbing it.

The man before her was childish and laughable.

"I’m not like you, falling for every woman I see," Ann sneered.
