Chapter 951: Chapter 583: Return to Blood Horn_3

Even without the proposal of the Grand Inquisitor Valon, he would have taken action, and he expected to acquire a new Shadow Domain there.

When the Oracle of Deep Forest Valley, Laurantice, waved his magic wand, a portal materialized before everyone. He said to the Lord of Deep Forest Valley, "This is the portal to Lake Seber, connecting to the Sea Elf Village. The task of blocking the retreat of the Koutao Fishmen falls to you, Lord. I shall accompany Duke Gaven and Grand Inquisitor Valon to Siren Valley to see the situation there firsthand."

As previously mentioned, the closest to the vanished Siren Valley was not Bow Valley, but their own Deep Forest Valley. During the war between Bow Valley and Siren Valley, although Deep Forest Valley was nominally neutral, in reality, they were implicitly condoning Bow Valley’s actions.

Who knows whether those vengeful deceased might direct their anger toward them? Never estimate those resurrected undead with the mentality of ordinary people.

"Ladies and gentlemen, take care, and I wish you victory," Serlemon said without argument, knowing his strength was impressive as a Transcendent Ranger at his peak.

Yet, compared to the present company, he still had gaps, especially against the undead; he hardly had a role. It would be better to focus his energies on the Koutao Fishmen.

After Serlemon disappeared into the portal, the group made further arrangements for their trip to Siren Valley before the old mage tore open the portal, taking them to the vanished valley.

Indeed, as expected.

Seeing the current state of Blood Horn, Gaven revealed no surprise; instead, there was a barely concealable joy in his eyes.

Here, enveloped in dark mist, the true form of Blood Horn was obscured entirely. Its permeation with negative energy had transformed it into something akin to Efanso City Hall or Weizemay Manor, suggesting that Gaven could assimilate it with the power of Shadow, turning it into an extension of Weizemay Manor.

However, Blood Horn differed from the previous two.

The former two were merely constructions—Weizemay Manor covered an area of only one square kilometer and the City Hall even less, just over fifteen hundred square meters.

Although Blood Horn was an isolated peak, it was a mountain, its altitude unknown, but it towered four to five hundred meters above the surroundings and covered no less than ten square kilometers.

The size of the occupied area directly related to its carrying capacity; to semi-shadowfy the entire Blood Horn wasn’t simply a matter of having negative energy.

If it were that simple, the Shadow Plane would have long since devoured the entire Material Plane, and Gaven would freely use his Shadow Power to transform ordinary constructions into his new domains.

Indeed, his use of Shadow Power to transform ordinary constructions merely produced a "Shadow Drag" effect, pulling them toward either Weizemay Manor or Mesnoel.

Only constructions or lands like Efanso City Hall and Blood Horn, already semi-shadowed and closely linked to the native land, could be transformed into extensions of Weizemay Manor.

In order to create the terrifying war machine, the Corpse Spider Elf, the cultists of the Undying Goddess of Vengeance had drawn all the souls and powers related to death and revenge from Siren Valley, making them byproducts of the Corpse Spider Elf.

Honestly, while the Undying Goddess of Vengeance and her followers deeply despised Gaven, his animosity toward them wasn’t as severe.

Because in the process of eliminating the Undying Goddess of Vengeance and her followers, he was also inheriting her legacy.

Really counting, how much of his current power and mighty equipment was related to her?

His development this year had two critical turning points.

The first was naturally the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, which defined his rise in the first half of the year.

The second, seemingly Weizemay Manor, was actually the Undying Goddess of Vengeance. Without the subsequent harvesting of Undead Divinity, the aid from Weizemay Manor would have been relatively limited.

"The duke is right, those undead are not fools, they have already fled, leaving only an empty shell," the Grand Inquisitor stated, his expertise in dealing with the undead allowing him to quickly ascertain the current state of Blood Horn.

Here, it seemed eerie, but one couldn’t feel that oppressive, strong aura.

"Although it’s an empty shell, we cannot simply leave it here," Darnell said seriously. "This has become a direct passage to the Shadow Plane. If we neglect it, it won’t be long before other undead or even more malevolent entities take hold."

"Purifying this place is extremely difficult," August chimed in. "Initially, one Land of Sealing took us nearly a month, utilizing a total of eight Sanctums. This place is an entire mountain; without several hundreds, no, thousands of Sanctums, it can’t be covered. We owe a lot to Duke Gaven last time. I wonder if the duke has a simpler method this time?"

Not only his gaze but also those of Valon and Darnell were filled with anticipation, only Laurantice looked puzzled. Wasn’t this the expertise of the Holy Warriors? Why were these professionals asking for the opinion of someone who had only recently stepped into being a Transcendent Professional?

He hadn’t witnessed the decisive battle against the Corpse Spider Elves and was unaware of Gaven’s unique tactics against the undead.

"I actually do have a method," Gaven confessed truthfully, "but it’s somewhat unorthodox."

He had already understood the boundaries of these Tyr Holy Warriors: they despised evil and injustice, but their intentions to obliterate the undead, especially the benevolent ones, were not strong.

Initially, they were wary of Weizemay Manor; Darnell even volunteered to be stationed in Weizemay New Village.

That was to prevent Gaven from being corroded by Dark Power, or to rescue him if such a situation arose, which was not uncommon.

When they realized that Gaven’s control over Weizemay Manor and its Shadow Power far exceeded their expectations and that he could use the undead to fight the undead, providing them conveniences they lacked, they naturally became less reticent and fully utilized this power for just and benevolent endeavors.

"What exactly is this unorthodox method?" the Grand Inquisitor and the others perked up.
