Chapter 937: Chapter 579: Immortals Fight
This fine gold coffin had always lain in Weizemay Manor. Initially, Gaven and his team did not possess the capability to fully exploit its value, since refining and forging fine gold was beyond the abilities of ordinary blacksmiths.
When they finally became capable of doing so, they discovered that the coffin was not solely crafted from pure fine gold but was constructed using the Fine Gold Art of the Supreme Elf Mage, showcasing the properties unique to fine gold alloys combined with gold.
If the appearance of the fine gold coffin was maintained, it was worth tens of millions of fine gold. However, once its integrity was compromised, it would revert to mere gold and fine gold alloy, greatly reducing its value, devaluing it tenfold to just a few million. Naturally, Gaven was reluctant to melt it down for materials.
Don’t forget, the high-value supreme spells of the elves were also present; besides the aforementioned Fine Gold Art, the coffin also had spells like Soul Locking and Sealing, all of which were at least of the Eighth-Ring level and had great research potential. Simply replicated, each of these could fetch hundreds of thousands, if not millions.
The most valuable was still the Fine Gold Art; mastering it was akin to mastering transmutation, allowing for the mass production of fine gold equipment from a limited amount of fine gold.
While its research value was yet to be tapped, its worth as a special weapon had already been discovered by Gaven. Not to mention in the hands of ordinary people, even for most Treants, this twelve-ton fine gold coffin was a dreadfully formidable presence; at most, they could only manage to drag it.
But in the combined hands of Five-Willow, its size and weight were just right, fit for use as either a one-handed or dual-wielded special weapon.
The body of the fine gold coffin itself served as the handle, while the eight thick and long fine gold chains and the colossal anchor they were attached to formed the attacking end.
Upon obtaining it, Gaven immediately adapted to swinging it several times; the whooshing sound tore through the night sky, accompanied by incessant loud metallic clanging.
Unable to help himself, Gaven shook his head. This thing, not originally forged as a weapon, was not particularly easy to handle. Eight attack points sounded fantastic, able to engage the enemy like an octopus’ tentacles simultaneously, but the difficulty of controlling this power significantly increased. These initial few swings entangled many of the fine gold chains and the anchor; a couple more, and they would surely twist into a huge knot.
Objects are inanimate; people are alive.
Gaven quickly came up with a new move, wrapping four of the chains backward around his right arm and securing them with the anchor hooks at the ends.
Another swing felt much smoother.
This not only gave the remaining four fine gold chains and anchors more room to move and swing but also effectively secured the weapon, preventing it from slipping from his grasp.
After quickly adapting, Five-Willow Overstate Full Form charged towards the Corpse Spider-Transformed Elves. In the delay, the creature gained another Life Dice, and hundreds of Koutao Fishmen, controlled by the Mad Ritual Sound, voluntarily emerged from Yewen Pond, rushing towards it with increasing speed.
If all were consumed, the Life Dice of the Corpse Spider-Transformed Elf would likely surge past forty.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The cohesion of the Five-Willow Overstate Full Form was astonishingly high, and so was its weight; each step left a deep, large footprint in the mire, but what reached first was its shadow.
The fusion of Gaven’s shadow manipulation and Five-Willow’s guidance of negative energy perfectly transformed his shadow into a vast channel of Shadow Power. Countless pre-positioned energies surged forth. Due to the incredibly fast infusion speed, black portals seemed to appear within the shadow of the Five-Willow Overstate Full Form, swallowing up the Koutao Fishmen corpses.
Simply running past caused all the Koutao Fishmen corpses on the ground to vanish, and later countless dark hands stretched out, directly dragging the living Koutao Fishmen towards the channel of Shadow Power.
The cold Shadow Power invading their bodies snapped the fishmen awake; terrified, they clattered desperately trying to escape this control but were utterly powerless due to the massive disparity in strength. They could only watch helplessly as the Shadow Power engulfed them, pulling their souls from their bodies to become part of the shadow power, while their corpses, like cheap goods, were thrown into a dark, enormous room.
Originally just a means of purification transformation, Shadow Drag, combined with a series of skill combinations, had turned into an extremely terrifying lethal weapon, especially when paired with the super-fast speed of the Five-Willow Overstate Full Form, making the harvesting frighteningly quick.
With this realization, Gaven was in no rush to confront the Corpse Spider-Transformed Elf head-on but instead slightly detoured, charging towards the most densely packed area of Koutao fishmen and corpses.
The battle over corpses would be crucial in this fight; they represented the potential combat power of the Corpse Spider-Transformed Elf. The more his side collected, the more it indirectly weakened the strength of the Corpse Spider-Transformed Elf.
