Chapter 901: Chapter 567 Komeer Kingdom
"What color is the young dragon? Metallic? Or colorful?" King Yasan’s interest thickened. Not many could earn such an evaluation from the Court Archmage; without exception, they either became pillars of the Komeer Kingdom or their most troublesome enemies.
"At first glance, it appears metallic, but deep inside, it carries colorful traits." The Court Archmage cautiously replied. "For now, metal predominates."
In this context, metallic and colorful represent good and evil.
King Yasan gently tapped on his throne and continued, "What is your opinion on the Conqueror Army, Master?"
"It is too early to discuss this," Feng Geda Hast replied with a sly smile out of character. "Compared to us, those merchants from Sambia care more about this. This is their latest decision from the Merchants Council meeting this morning. Your Majesty should see this before we discuss further."
The Archmage handed over new intelligence to King Yasan, completely detailing the much-discussed process within the Sambiyan Merchants Council, every word, every sentence, perfect and complete.
This indicated that among the Sambiyan council members, some collaborated with the Komeer Kingdom, possibly even directly planted by the Kingdom. Their plutocracy made this far from difficult.
"This is their usual modus operandi," King Yasan said, unsurprised about the Sambiyan merchants’ plans to sabotage the Conqueror Army and breach the Ashaba River’s embankments to flood the frozen lands of Tillage Valley. "So, you mean to say, let them continue to fight and we just watch the developments?"
"The expansion rate of Sambia in the Valley area, especially after the defeat of Lord Lashan of Scar Valley, has been too rapid in recent years; the entire valley, now divided between them and the Santarin Association, the murkier the water, the better for us.
"We are an unavoidable presence for these immigrants, whether they win or lose in the Goblin Margins. Mr. Gaven Nort will have to come to the Royal Capital to seek an audience with Your Majesty, and then, based on the situation, we will strategize accordingly." Feng Geda Hast’s eyes twinkled with wisdom. A legendary Archmage was already terrifying enough; when he was also an excellent politician, it was even more so.
"In that case, let’s use this as a favor to that Duke," King Yasan said, handing the intelligence back to the Court Archmage. "Just so, the Mayor of West Gate City, Siegel, has sent an invitation wanting to invite the Archmage to the Giant Dragon Coast to facilitate peace talks with the Conqueror Army."
"Then I will personally take a trip to the Giant Dragon Coast and see what unique aspects this Conqueror Army, which has stirred stagnant waters for centuries on the coast, possesses." Feng Geda Hast briskly accepted the task.
"Since you’re here, no need to hide any longer," King Yasan called out towards a corner of the palace.
"As always, my father’s perception is sharp and potent," a voice giggled as a figure gradually materialized from nothing, clad in a Ghost Cloak from the Ghost Textile Factory, cheerfully stepping forward.
Court Archmage Feng Geda Hast and the Commander of the Purple Dragon Knights, Shava, both bowed and said, "Your Highness, Princess Yalusai."
Despite the invisibility afforded by the Ghost Cloak, these two watchers were not easily deceived, only refraining from revealing her due to her special status.
"Greetings, Grandfather Archmage, and Uncle Shava," the young girl greeted with perfect courtly grace, as ladylike as can be.
But the two who had watched her grow up knew better than to be fooled by appearances; this young troublemaker held unparalleled skills in creating mishaps, daring to eavesdrop on their military councils alone in the entire Purple Dragon Royal Court.
In recent years, as the young dragon grew, so did her capacity for causing trouble. Her fascination with adventurous life, a trait she shared with her father, had led her to plot numerous escapes from home, much to the old dragon’s headache.
Smiling, King Yasan said to the Court Archmage, "Your other task is to escort Yalusai."
"Escort Princess Yalusai?" As if the sky had fallen, Feng Geda Hast trembled involuntarily, plucking a few white whiskers, pledging allegiance to the strait-laced PrincessILLUMINATI.
"An issue?" Princess Yalusai stared malevolently at Feng Geda Hast’s white beard, her posture suggesting she’d pluck it all out if he disagreed.
"None at all. It would be my honor," Feng Geda Hast reluctantly agreed, thinking of his remaining whiskers. "But for what purpose?"
"Recently, I’ve been in correspondence with Ms. Katherine of the Lady Strategy’s Chosen, who plans to establish a Yin Hong War Academy at the Fortress of Strategy. I highly regard her fresh perspective on war strategies. I intend to select some of our finest young people to attend this academy," King Yasan explained. "Yalusai will lead the team. Ms. Katherine is also with the Conqueror Army now, and I hope you can use this opportunity to make contact with her."
As a King among Men, Yasan did not underestimate the Gods; on the contrary, he held their shifts in high esteem.
