Chapter 748: Chapter 517: Di Gaomorgan’s Sacrilegious Ritual_3
At the same time, the records also mentioned the legend spoken of by Hobgoblin Giant Thomas, which was basically accurate. They had indeed been at war with the Stone Giant Tribe of the Giant Run Mountain Range for several centuries and had achieved a decisive victory with their numbers advantage. In the end, the city was destroyed by relentless Undead attacks and the subsequent plague. The Dwarves speculated that this was revenge from the Stone Giants, but there was no evidence to support this.
Unlike those three-dimensional Dwarf cities, though also three-dimensional, Wailing Dwarf had to fully consider the size of this sculpture; therefore, it resembled more a skyscraper, with layers upon layers, at least forty or fifty stories high.
Like the Tower of Dominion, its core was located in the head.
"Wait," Gaven called out to Six-armed Snake Demon Nightshadow, who was ready to charge in headfirst, and he said to Shadow Walker Nightshadow behind him, "You two, go push the door."
A thick stone door stood in their way.
From his past experiences, such a situation usually meant a prepared ambush, especially since they were certain that the master of this place, the Noble Two-Headed Troll named Kodi Koli, was inside.
The reason they were sure he was inside was that Gaven had marked him with the last Revenge Mark yesterday, intending to capture the kingpin first by taking him down.
To their surprise, that creature actually could cast spells and had teleported away.
Originally, they were concerned that he might flee to the Giant Plains, making the pursuit troublesome.
Unexpectedly, he had run back to his lair. Knowing they were coming to kill him, he still holed up inside, definitely preparing some earth-shattering, game-changing move.
The anticipated ambush didn’t happen when Gaven opened the door, but the hellish scene inside truly shocked them.
The room bore no resemblance to its original appearance; the walls were covered in crude graffiti made of flesh and blood, giving the impression that the artist had been in a state of psychotic break. The floor was filled with all sorts of corpses, many of which were of various monster women and children.
No wonder they hadn’t seen many monster women and children along the way; those who were slower ended up in this room.
"Di Gaomorgan’s unholy ritual, I didn’t expect to encounter a high-ranking servant of a Demon Prince here. Had you performed this ritual in the Abyss, I might have actually turned tail and run. But performing this desecration in the Material Plane is simply serving me a meal on a silver platter," said Six-armed Snake Demon Nightshadow, not to Gaven, but to the Noble Two-Headed Troll perched on the throne.
"You destroyed our Kingdom, you destroyed my lord’s holy plan, and you must pay for your ignorance," the Noble Two-Headed Troll declared.
"Traitor, I shall punish you on behalf of my master, send you back to the Abyss, and let you endure the scorching flames day after day," said the Two-Headed Troll as both heads spoke simultaneously, all four eyes filled with endless madness and Berserk fury. This guy was an absolute madman; he had been from the very start, or else he wouldn’t be following the Demon Prince Di Gaomorgan.
"I’ve just come from over there. Threatening me with this, do you wish to make me laugh? If you truly had the power to send me back to the Abyss, I’d actually thank you. I’m afraid you just don’t have what it takes. Borrowing a bit of the Demon Prince’s strength doesn’t make you him," said Six-armed Snake Demon Nightshadow, and she wasn’t entirely bluffing. She truly wished he had the power, but the reality was that simply destroying Nightshadow’s body wasn’t going to send her back to the Abyss; instead, it might kill her. Although she didn’t like her current state, she had even less interest in death.
"Then try it, great master, bestow upon us your mighty power," the Noble Two-Headed Troll rose from the throne, arms flailing as he called out, and all the crude, grisly paintings in the room suddenly lit up, forming a massive blood-colored vortex above his head.
It was very similar to a Soul Vortex that ferries souls to the Abyss or Hell, but this time it was not about guiding the Noble Two-Headed Troll’s soul to the Abyss, but an infusion. Along with the infusion, two terrifying Wills came through.
One terrifying Will was the very definition of madness; even the collective craziness of an entire psychiatric hospital’s patients paled in comparison to a fraction of it. Behind the madness lay an endless desire for destruction.
The other terrifying Will was the complete opposite: a pinnacle of calmness, with infinite scheming. Just being glanced at by this Will made Gaven feel as though he’d been seen through completely.
It was needless to say, these two terrifying Wills belonged to none other than the Lord of the Bottomless Abyss, the most powerful Demon Prince known as the Double-Haded Baboon, Di Gaomorgan.
Like the Two-Headed Troll, Di Gaomorgan’s two heads each had their own complete thoughts and Will. The one called madness was Heyslati, and the other, whose calm was almost cruel, was called Amur. Together, they were Di Gaomorgan.
The two terrifying Wills came quickly and left just as swiftly, flashing past in an instant.
But as the instigator, Noble Two-Headed Troll Kodi Koli had undergone astounding changes. His body grew another section taller, reaching the limit for a large creature at five meters. A great deal of fur sprouted between the necks of its two heads, while its nose protruded and tusks emerged, now resembling a baboon’s head about sixty percent. Its arms elongated, forking at the ends into four giant tendrils about seven or eight meters long, with a similarly forked tendril tail sprouting from behind.
Kodi Koli had accepted an infusion of the Abyssal power from his master, causing his body to become more akin to his lord’s.
Waving his newly transformed body excitedly, Kodi Koli laughed maniacally, "We feel the power, we are invincible. Feel the power and the wrath of the Lord of the Abyss!"
Without waiting to finish, he rushed eagerly toward Gaven, his most hated enemy—the very instigator of all this, who had destroyed everything he had painstakingly built.
Gaven, ever so slippery, had already skedaddled the moment he sensed the arrival of the Demon Prince’s Will.
