Chapter 612: Chapter 472 Show a Horror Movie to Ghost_2

Some call this place a holy land of faith because it resides here the Spirit Souls they worship, and Laiserman is a typical representative of this kingdom.

Others see it as a birthplace of horror, where people refuse to speak of it. This usually happens in small, insular locations or places secretly controlled by manipulative rulers.

Some regard it as a convenient travel destination, for here lie the Ether Veils leading to the Material Plane, Shadow Plane, Fairy Wilderness, and Inner Planes (Earth, Air, Fire, Water). By passing through them, one arrives at another plane. Such is usually done by Spellcasters, powerful ones, at least. Before obtaining the Transcendent Rank, Gaven would not do this.

In fact, Gaven was no stranger to the Ether Veil; the veil in the Rocklands that connects to the Spring Bud Forest in the Fairy Wilderness is a standard Ether Veil, albeit temporarily stabilized.

In the Three Rivers Region, during the Fairy Midsummer Night, a temporary veil connecting to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree is likewise an Ether Veil. It fully demonstrates the malleability of the Ether Plane—The Three Rivers Region and the Fairy Wilderness sing a song in unison, resonating with each other. With their collective intention, they shape this temporary veil.

Because of this spiritual malleability of Ether, it easily becomes entangled with those creatures of strong spirit, especially the Spiritual Bodies. Many Spirit Body Creatures possess the ability to come and go within the Ether Plane, lying in wait within the Ether to hunt.

This is because of the special relationship between Ether and the Material Plane.

At the boundary of Ether, one can see the Material Plane, although the view is quite narrow, only about ten meters before it turns into mist. But from the Material Plane, one cannot see the Ether Plane.

This is the third form of invisibility, aside from Fairy Invisibility and Shadow Invisibility.

Compared to the first two, this form of invisibility is more common. In the absence of special clarification, any mention of invisibility in professional abilities refers to this kind.

Because one believes that they are unseen, and when this belief is unwaveringly strong, it elicits a response from the Ether Plane, allowing one to blend into the Ether boundary, thus vanishing from the Material Plane.

Because of this characteristic, many people confuse the Shadow Plane with the Ether Plane.

The Ether Plane is divided into the Ether Frontier, Deep Ether, and Special Ether Worlds.

The Ether Frontier is easy to understand: it is where it overlaps with other planes. While in the Ether, one can view other planes but is unable to attack or touch anything, being able to pass directly through them since the dimensions still differ slightly.

Deep Ether is purely internal to the Ether, normally shrouded in swirling mists, filled with veils of various colors leading to different planes. Many powerful spellcasters come here to find ways to other planes.

As for Special Ether Worlds, also known as Ether Spaces, these are shaped by powerful beings or a group of individuals, featuring characteristics distinct from other places, varying in size.

The small ones could merely be a house surrounded by mist.

The large ones might be a misty isle or a solitary city.

It could even be an entire kingdom, possessing a civilization of its own—this falls within the category of an Ether Civilization.

Gaven now faced a cluster of Ether Mist, presenting a vague, disheveled, feminine form.

Her power was quite limited; she didn’t even have the ability to cross the Ether Frontier into the Material Plane, with only a monotonous sobbing sound coming through.

The unknown is the most terrifying.

Once its nature is revealed, its fear factor is greatly diminished.

Not to mention, Gaven himself lacked Fear when facing the Ether Mist, saying, "Out of your depth, this might scare the common folk, but save your energy when dealing with me. Let me open your eyes, show you what real horror is."

After speaking, Gaven found an open space, took out a Phantom Crystal Sphere filled with Psychic Power Points, and tossed it out.

As the Negative Energy surged, a Phantom Screen appeared out of nowhere, and a segment of phantom footage began to play.

It was none other than Regina’s latest horror short film.

The main content of the short film was to create an atmosphere of terror through sound, literally scaring people to death.

This was an original story, shot by a professional Bard, and then edited.

The actors’ performance was absolutely on point, more realistic than reality.

Regina specialized in the art of terror through sound, and the atmosphere was absolutely under her control.

Compared to the complex and richly instrumental Fear Sound.

The Weeping Witch simply used sobbing noises to scare people, how hollow and boring it was.

After only a few minutes of playing the phantom horror short film, the sobbing sound vanished completely.

But Gaven saw clearly that the misty figure did not disappear; it stayed a few meters away from the phantom, indicating that it was watching the phantom footage that Gaven had played.

Show a ghost a horror film; Gaven truly was one of a kind.

After the phantom horror short film finished, Gaven retracted the Phantom Spirit Crystal Sphere and finally addressed the misty figure, "Now you understand, right? Such child’s play of a scare tactic is ineffective against me. Let’s change our approach. Sit down and talk to me. If you’re having any trouble, feel free to say so. I can think of ways to help you out. Scaring people away isn’t the solution."
