Chapter 533: Chapter 446 The Core Elements of Transcendent Warfare_1
"Continue."
"The third reason, I believe, has to do with themselves. The Dwarves’ deceptions are numerous, let alone in three cities filled with tens of thousands of them. Their internal strife and power struggles must be extremely severe, particularly after their victory over Guadus City, when external pressures have greatly diminished. This situation is likely to become even more intensified."
"For Blade of Venom Masoji, the most urgent matter isn’t to seize Mesnoel but to further consolidate his ruling position in the three cities and become the true King of the Three Cities."
"The ones who know Dwarves Elves best are still Dwarves Elves themselves."
Daphne, standing from the perspective of Dwarves Elves, laid out the situation of the three cities completely, crushed it before everyone, and it was undeniable, giving a clear insight into the situation that Mesnoel was facing.
Gaven couldn’t help but ask, "What do you think our focus should be in the upcoming confrontation with Dwarves Elves? What tactics should we adopt?"
Without hesitation, Daphne replied, "I think our counterattack should be progressive, slowly causing those Dwarves Elves to bleed without seriously hurting them, because once we gain the absolute upper hand and put significant survival pressure on them,
they are very likely to set aside internal conflicts and concentrate all their strength against us, which would significantly increase our own pressure."
"However, in order to make Dwarves Elves bleed, there’s a prerequisite - to interrupt their resurrection."
"If we can’t accomplish this, the war will be incredibly prolonged, and it’ll turn into an outright war of attrition, an economic war of attrition."
Even faced with her own kin, Daphne didn’t have the slightest psychological pressure when strategizing. She epitomizes the Dwarves Elf Priestess, willing to betray even her own deity, the Goddess of Revenge, for her interests, let alone a group of unrelated Velen Believers."
Gaven had no doubt that if she ever completely escaped his control or fell into the hands of a more powerful being, she would not hesitate to sell him out entirely."
Yet Daphne’s demonstrated capabilities made it impossible for Gaven not to use her. Her words directly pinpointed the core of the war."
The confrontations above the Transcendent level and large-scale warfare among ordinary Humans are not entirely the same concept.
Various resurrection methods become quite common, particularly among the Dwarves, who belong to the Everlasting Kind and value their lives. They usually possess profound resources, and even an ordinary warrior would prepare several methods of resurrection. Should they fall in battle, someone in the rear would secretly revive them."
Even Gaven must thoroughly consider this matter. Veranika, the Sacrificer exclusive to the God of Strategy, has teleportation only as a part-time job. Her primary capability still lies in the Priest’s abilities, including various resurrection methods."
Gaven lightly tapped the table and said, "Currently, we have two effective methods in our hands to prevent those Dwarves Elves from being resurrected. One is the Dog Demon’s Gnawing, though not one hundred percent effective, it only has a fifty percent chance."
"The second method is the Soul Prison Special Ability of Black Nanmu, but this ability has a limit to how many it can imprison. Even if the Tower of Dominion magnifies this ability tenfold, the number of Dwarves Elves that can be imprisoned is only a few dozen, at most not exceeding one hundred, which is far from enough. Do any of you have good solutions for this?"
Everyone shook their heads. Stelina, feeling helpless yet somewhat angry, said, "Preventing resurrection is usually the means of evil creatures. Souls devoured by the Black Forest Enchantment are one such example, but we indeed don’t have it in our hands. The only thing we can do is to increase their difficulty of resurrection by thoroughly destroying their bodies. Resurrection and Revival Spell are not the same concept as Complete Resurrection Spell."
Resurrection is a fifth-circle spell, the lowest-level resurrection spell. Usually, it’s the first spell a Transcendent Priest masters. This spell is also notoriously expensive. During the casting process, it requires the consumption of a diamond valued at five thousand Gold Coins (crushed to dust), and that’s just one item, not something common people can afford. Not to mention they also have to provide the Priest casting the spell with an equal compensation."
This spell also comes with many restrictions. For instance, the corpse must remain intact and undamaged, not turned into an Undead Creature or killed by death spells (as for deaths due to aging, let alone Resurrection, even Complete Resurrection Spell won’t work), and even if the resurrection is successful, the recipient’s soul quality also suffers significant damage, mainly reflected in a loss of one Professional Level or Life Dice. If they only have one Life Dice, their Constitution would be damaged, and once Constitution reaches zero, they can no longer be revived."
The Revival Spell, a seventh-circle spell, is a stronger version of Resurrection. As long as some part of the body remains, even just ashes, it can still bring the deceased back to life. The side effects are generally the same as for Resurrection, but the cost doubles, requiring a diamond worth ten thousand Gold Coins for casting, and the compensation for a Transcendent Priest is about the same amount."
The Complete Resurrection Spell is a ninth-circle spell. As the name suggests, after it’s cast, there are no side effects except for deaths caused by aging and some special reasons, such as being imprisoned by the Soul Prison ability of Black Nanmu or completely devoured by Dog Demons. Practically anyone can be revived, and the cost is the highest, requiring the consumption of diamonds worth twenty-five thousand Gold Coins as casting materials. As for compensation, the prerequisite is that you are able to find and request such a Quasi-Legendary or Legendary Priest to cast the spell for you.
